Description

Figure 1

All components of a Multi-source Audio System are wired centrally from the Four Source, Eight Zone

Distribution Module.Inaddition to providing acentral point of connection, the Module distributes the

necessary voltage to power the system (one power supply per each four zone group). The Triple-source

and Single-source Inputs and Keypad Volume Controls connect directly to the module utilizing RJ-45

connections. The system can support expansion by “daisy chaining” Single Source, Four Zone Distribution

Modules, 6338 21,toany of the eight outputs. The IR RJ45 jack is used to both receive and transmit IR

signals and has its own LED for activity status.

NOTE: The two 24 Volt, 2.5 Amp Power Supplies, 6338 41, are not included and must be purchased

separately.

Installation of the Legrand Four Source, Eight Zone Distribution Module and related components, is best

accomplished at multiple times during new construction, at “First Fix” before the drywall is installed, and at

“Second Fix” after the drywall is installed and painted.

NOTE: The Four Source, Eight Zone Distribution Module provides power to all of the components

of the Audio System.

A "First Fix" Steps:

-Run three Category 5ecables from the room location containing the Source Inputs (typically the

entertainment centre location) to the Enclosure.

-Run Category 5ecables from the room locations which will contain the Keypad Volume Controls to
