geltenden gesetzlichen Vorschriften voraus.

Short Operating Instructions

General safety instructions

Any use of the Dräger FG7500 requires full understanding and compliance with the operating

instructions 5695092, the relevant standards, as well as the relevant statutory regulations.

The device is intended only for the uses described in the manual 5695092.

It is not suitable for use as a continuously operating gas warning and alarm device.

Don’t use the device in explosive areas.

Any improper use of the device may lead to electric shock or destruction of the measuring

instru-ment!

Before using the measuring device for the first time, the integrity of all components must be

checked, e.g.:

Device exhibits no visible damage

No condensed water in the gas preconditioner

The gas preconditioner filter is clean

Gas hoses without defects

Visual inspection of the probe

Always fully charge the Dräger FG7500 via the USB interface with a 5 V DC / 1 A USB power

sup-ply adapter only. We recommend monthly recharging in the event of longer periods of non-

use. Incomplete charging affects the charging capacity of the battery in the long term.

Operating Instructions and managing PC measuring data

The operating instructions 5695092 can be found on our website www.draeger-msi.de under

the menu item Services →Downloads →FG7500 →Operating Instructions. Under the menu

item Services →Down-loads →FG7500 →Software you can find the measurement data

management PC200P, which is down-loadable after a short registration with device serial

number and your address data.

EU-wide regulations apply to the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment. Please note

local regula-tions for disposal or return the device to Dräger MSI or your national retailer for

disposal. Damaged batter-ies are hazardous waste and have to be disposed at an intended

hazardous waste site.

Switching on: Press the ON/OFF button briefly. The device switches on. Please select your

language when you switch on the device for the first time.

Switching off: Press the OFF button in the main menu or press the ON/OFF button . If a

program is in use, the ON/OFF button returns to the main menu.

Make sure that the gas outlet at the bottom is unobstructed and not closed or blocked.

Short Operating Instructions

Flue gas measurement

The flue gas analysis measurement works with several programs for the individual test steps.

1. Select fuel and enter boiler parameters.

2. Measure combustion air temperature with flue gas probe or combustion air temperature

probe.

3. Put the probe into the centre of the flue gas stream. The centre is the area with the highest

flue gas temperature.

4. Measure draft with the flue gas probe. The draft sensor is built-in the flue gas probe.

5. Check flue gas tract. Measure O2 and CO concentration with multi-hole adapter.

6. Enter smoke numbers.

Pressure

Pressure measurement up to 160 mbar (for gas, nozzles or kinetic

pressure). Connect the measuring point of the gas pressure hose

with the pressure input P+ of the measuring device. For pressure

measurements with external pressure sensor use E1.

The universal tightness test allows to perform tightness tests with nominal pressure, stabilisa-

tion time and measuring time which you select yourself.

Gas pipes in operation with an operating pressure of 23 mbar can be tested to their leak rate.

The test is performed with air. The pipe volume is determined by entering the pipe volume

and / or the selection of gas pipe diameters and length.

Check lists

Checklists can be configured using the PC software. Up to 4 checklists each with up to 20 items

can be configured.

Customer

With the customer data table you can select a site to assign. The data table can be prepared

with PC data management and transferred to the device. The saved data and measured values

can be provided and printed out using PC data management with pre-prepared measuring

reports including company logo and address.

Data memory

The stored measurements can be displayed and printed out, the inspector table can be edited.

Measurement and customer data can be deleted
