outlet,apowerindicatorlightthatis
stillnotonmayindicateafaulty
modemorafaultypoweradapter.

whenoneofthetelephonesinthe
houseislifted?Thisprobablymeans
thatthemodemisnotconnectedto
thersttelephonejack.Thisisalsothe
caseifthereisexcessivestaticonthe
line.Movethemodemtotherst
incomingtelephonejack.
6.IstheEthernetindicatorlightoff?
Checktheconnectionbetweenthe
LANportonthemodemandthe
NetworkInterfaceCard(NIC)inyour
computer.CheckthattheNICinyour
computerisfunctioningproperly.
7.Resetbutton.Seepicturelabelled
“Back.”Thisbuttonresetsthemodem
tofactorysettings.Holditinfor
