The imagePROGRAF W2200 boasts excellent cost-

performance with large-capacity ink tanks (130ml

for each color), making possible nearly effortless

replenishing for high print volumes. The cassette

allows high-capacity paper feeding of up to 500

sheets with the optional cassette. The high

potential of the imagePROGRAF W2200 can also

be put to full use in the prepress field, which

demands high productivity in addition to high

speed and image quality.

Full-front operation allows the imagePROGRAF W2200

to be installed almost anywhere. All operations,

as well as replacement procedures, can be per-

formed from the front. Thus, it conveniently fits

wherever you need it, including rack, below-desk,

or recessed locations.

The Direct Digital Color Proof (DDCP) machines

currently used in the printing industry for digital

proofs are exceedingly expensive. This is another

way the imagePROGRAF W2200–with its digital

proofs printing capability–can be a huge cost-

saver. Besides its low initial purchase price,

it also has a minimal running cost because it

needs no periodic maintenance or parts

replacement.

Today’s graphics professional is an artist, a designer, and even a

time-pressed businessperson who needs speed, quality, AND

productivity when it comes to a color ink-jet printer. A printer that

does all three is exactly what you need.

But there’s only one printer that’s also highly affordable, with an

amazingly low running cost.

It’s the Canon imagePROGRAF™ W2200.

The imagePROGRAF W2200 is today’s state-of-the-art ink-jet

printer that offers a huge array of features with the professional

graphic artist always in mind. This color printer has superior

speed, astonishing photo-image quality, and absolutely unri-

valed productivity, thanks to a number of Canon’s printing tech-

nology breakthroughs.

The imagePROGRAF W2200 yields the best of any creative work,

from design planning to final proofing, for any type of output,

such as comps, presentations, color proofs and final proofs. It’s

even ideal for remote proofs. Yet, it’s affordable, easy to use, and

ready to get right to work for you.

High-definition color printing has always meant frus-

trating delays, as your printer sacrificed speed for

resolution. It was a fact of creative life–the choice

between speed and quality. Need a proof for the

client? Hit the print button, then go get a cup of cof-

fee as your productivity grinds to a halt. Want a quick

print? Then forget rich, crystal-clear color images.

But that was then. Today, Canon eliminates the

wait, delivers gorgeous printing results, and boosts

your productivity and creativity with the

imagePROGRAF W2200.

It took our new, high-density one-inch print head to

deliver fast, high-quality output from an affordable

ink-jet printer—previously incompatible printer con-

cepts. This newly developed print head is an integra-

tion of Canon’s cutting-edge technologies, combining

the precision process technology used in semicon-

ductor manufacturing and original materials technol-

ogy, and the new MicroFine Droplet Technology.™

The result is a high-density, high-spec print head

that’s 1.07 inches wide and contains 1,280 nozzles

for each of six ink colors, giving you precise and uni-

form dot placement. This print head yields immense

advantages for the professional creator.

The imagePROGRAF W2200 delivers high-speed

printing with its six-color integrated, high-

density wide print head. Print up to 20 ppm for

LTR-sized monochrome text, and up to six ppm

for 11” x 17” full-color pages.* This high-speed

printing immediately gives shape to the creator’s

imagination, with no compromises, making pos-

sible consistent, high-quality printouts at each

stage of the creative process. Standard interfaces

include 10Base-T/100Base-TX, USB 1.1, and IEEE

1284, with IEEE 1394 provided for high-speed

transfer of large volumes of data. These inter-

faces ensure the imagePROGRAF W2200’s advan-

tage for printing photographic images and other

high-resolution data at very fast speeds.

* Plain paper, printing in draft mode.

microscopic four-pl ink droplets in six colors, with

1/6 density photo cyan and photo magenta

added to the CMYK colors.
