Installation

Install in accordance with all national and local electrical codes.

Multigang Installations: In multigang installations several

Nova T controls are grouped horizontally in one ganging wall-

box or in a series of connected wallboxes. Multigang wallplates are

available from Lutron to simplify and beautify these installations. If

you are planning a multigang installation, read ganging information

before beginning installation.

Cleaning Instructions

To clean, wipe with a clean damp cloth. DO NOT use any chemi-

cal cleaning solutions.

Installation

1. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker or fusebox. Wiring with

power on may cause injury or damage switch. Warranty void

if switch is miswired.

2. Remove wallplate from switch to prevent damage and to

access mounting holes. Pull from top of wallplate to remove.

Set aside.

3. Connect wallbox leads to switch. See Figure A or B for wiring

diagram. If an earth ground wire is not in the wallbox, contact

a licensed electrician.

Ganging

Nova T ®switches can be installed in a common gangable wall-

box or a series of interconnected wallboxes for a clean, consolidat-

ed appearance. Controls must be ganged without removing side

sections.

When ganging any combination of small and large controls, place

all small controls at one end of gang, all large controls at other

end. The NT-2WS-AU is a small control.

* Note: When ganging an even number of small controls without

removing side sections, you need an additional wallbox. Use a

chase nipple as a spacer. See figure below.
