Getting started
To set up your AirZone FM Follow
Me please follow these steps:
• Plug the AirZone FM Follow
Me into the dock connector
port of your iPod/iPhone, it will
automatically turn on
• Press sCAn - the AirZone
FM Follow Me will scan for the
5 best frequencies in your area
and save them as pre-sets
• Tune your car radio to the
frequency displayed on your
AirZone FM Follow Me
• Select a track and press play
on your iPod/iPhone. The artist’s
name will be displayed on the
AirZone FM Follow Me and the
track name on your car radio*
• If you experience interference,
press or to skip to the
next pre-set. Your RDS radio
will then automatically retune to
the new frequency using Follow
Me technology. This may take
up to 20 seconds, alternatively
you can press the sCAn
button to reselect the 5 clearest
frequencies

Auto scan
When the AirZone FM Follow Me
is powered on, it can automatically
scan for the 5 clearest frequencies.
To turn AutoScan on/off:
• Press and hold sCAn
for 3 seconds
• Press sCAn to scroll
between the options
• Press or to turn
the function on or off
• Hold sCAn for 3
seconds to exit

UNPACKING AND INSTALLATION
Unpack your unit carefully. We recommend
that you save the packaging in case you ever
need to store your unit. To avoid damage, never
place the unit or it’s batteries near radiators, in
front of heating vents, under direct sunlight
or near water

• Only use GEAR4 approved accessories
• Keep the FM transmitter out of reach from
small children
• Do not operate the FM transmitter
whilst driving

to starting your journey

DISCLAIMER
• In order for the Follow Me function to work,
your car radio must feature RDS technology
and AF technology; this information can be
found on either your car stereo or in your
audio guide
• Please ensure that your iPod / iPhone is
using the latest software version. To update
the software, connect your iPod to iTunes. If
there is a newer software version available
you will be prompted to upgrade
• In areas where there are few available
frequencies, the Follow Me feature may not
work due to higher signal interference
• The signal strength may be improved by
connecting the device to a power source,
we recommend using the GEAR4 RoadTour
Dual Charge

• Prevent exposing the FM transmitter to
high temperatures (above 60° C). Protect it
from direct sunlight and keep it away from
sources of heat
