Working on the system
■Isolate the system from the power supply (e.g. by
removing the separate fuse or by means of a mains
isolator) and check that it is no longer 'live'.
■Safeguard the system against reconnection.
■Where gas is used as the fuel, close the main gas
shut-off valve and safeguard it against unintentional
reopening.

Intended use
The appliance is only intended to be installed and
operated in sealed unvented heating systems that
comply with EN 12828, with due attention paid to the
associated installation, service and operating instruc-
tions as well as the details in the datasheet.
It is only designed for the heating up of heating water.
Commercial or industrial usage for a purpose other
than the heating up of heating water shall be deemed
inappropriate.
Intended use presupposes that a fixed installation in
conjunction with permissible components designed for
this purpose has been carried out.
Every other use will be deemed to be inappropriate.
Any resulting losses are excluded from the manufac-
turer's liability.
Any usage beyond this must be approved by the man-
ufacturer for the individual case.
Intended use also includes the adherence to mainte-
nance and inspection intervals.

■Gas condensing boiler:
–75 to 142 kW rated heating output with modulating
MatriX radiant burner for natural gas E and LL
–186 to 311 kW rated heating output with modulat-
ing MatriX cylinder burner for natural gas E, LL and
LPG P (not CH)
■Permissible operating pressure 6 bar
■Delivery:
Boiler body on pallet
Thermal insulation, burner, control unit module with
cable harnesses and programming unit packed sep-
arately
Conversion for other countries
The Vitocrossal 200 may only be delivered to the
countries specified on the type plate. For deliveries to
other countries, approved contractors must arrange
individual approval on their own initiative and in
accordance with the law of the country in question.

Note
Ensure free access to the control unit box at the back
of the boiler. Do not therefore mount any external
ducts on the back or sides of the boiler.

!Please note
Damage to the flue gas connection can result in
leaks.
Never lift or move the boiler by the flue gas con-
nection.
Information on handling
Hook lifting gear for transport by crane into the holes in
the front and back panel of the boiler.
Note
A suitable condensate drain must be available in the
installation room. If the boiler is installed at ground
level, the condensate drain must be no more than
50 mm above floor level. Otherwise install a conden-
sate removal pump.

Adjusting screws A are supplied in the accessory
pack.
Recommendation:
Position the boiler on adjustable anti-vibration feet
(accessories). Insert adjustable feet into the base rails
from below.

Removing the base frame for handling (if necessary)
If necessary, the base frame can be removed for han-
dling.

Danger
If the boiler is not secured, it can slide off the
base frame and cause injury.
Secure the boiler body. Wear safety boots.
1. Undo the 4 screws and remove.
2. Lift the boiler off the base frame.
!Please note
If the drain connector is left unprotected, it
can be damaged while the boiler is being
transported and set down without the base
frame.
Set the boiler down carefully; place timber
below if necessary.
3. Fit the base frame in reverse order.
