System Overview
The Ventra BCR-300 is an innovate and compact HD body worn camera recording 1080P HD Video, Audio and high resolution images.
Designed for rugged environment and the demanding needs of law enforcement ,military, campus and private agencies.
or Maximum interoperability and easy deployment, the BCR does not require special software. Simply record and playback directly
on the camera, or connect it to a PC and view recordings via standard media player.
With its innovative dual camera design, the BCR is equipped with an External HD detachable camera. This provides maximum
flexibility, optimal recording angle and comfort through extended use.
BCR-300 operates in 2 modes:
-Main Camera only =Recording from the main camera
-Main Camera + External Camera =Recording from the external camera

There are 2 LED indicators on the BCR-300 to display the current
function and state of the system.

Step 1
Charge Battery Before Use
NOTICE: Use only the wall charger and battery included with the BCR
BCR may also be charged in vehicle via USB cable to 12V DC cigarette
lighter plug charger / Aux port to extend battery usage
Option 1
• Using a thin object to open the battery cover tab on the bottom of
the main camera
• Slide battery cover outward, not up, to remove cover
•
Remove battery from the main camera and insert into the charger

• Leave battery in the main camera
• Connect the USB cable directly into the USB port on the main camera
• Connect the USB cable to the wall charger and into wall outlet, or to
an USB port device such as PC. (Charge time approximately 1 1/2
hours)
•
Remove battery from the main camera and insert into the charger
provided
• Connect the charger to an USB cable and wall outlet charger
(Charge time approximately 1 hours)

NOTICE:Format SD card in FAT32 file format
• Using a thin object to open the battery cover tab on the bottom of camera
• Remove battery to access the SD card slot
• Insert micro SD card (Max SD capacity 32GB Class 10 and up)

Connect External Camera
The BCR records in 2 modes:
1. If using Main camera only, all recordings will be captured from the
lens of the main camera
2. If connecting External camera to the Main camera, all recordings
will be captured from the lens of the external camera
BCR auto detects if external camera is connected. No configuration
is required
Powering On
• Press the Power button for 3 seconds
• LCD screen will then display live video
Turn Off
Press the Power button for 3 seconds

• Connect external camera cable into HDIN slot on the main
camera
• Ensure the connection is secure

• The External Camera has a built-in light sensor to automatically
activate the IR ilter and switch to night vision recording. (Clicking
sound may be heard during IR filter switch)

System Configuration
There are 3 system configuration - Video, Camera and General Settings
To access the Setup enu
•Press the (OK) button for 3 seconds to enter system configuration
•Use Video Button and Camera Button to navigate Left / Right
•Use arrow key to scroll through menu △▽
•To exit Setup Menu, press ( AUD )
Video Setup:
•Video Resolution: 1080P, 960P, 720P/30fps, 720P/60fps
•Bitrate: Video -6Mbps / 12Mbps ( 6Mbps will double recording time)
• 32GB card @1080P resolution with 6Mbps bitrate = 11.5HR recording
General Settings Setup:
•Beep: An audible beep when a button is pressed
•Segment Time: Recoding time per file before automatically starting a new
file if recording was not stopped manually by user - 10 /20 /30 min
•Auto Standby: Time before BCR goes into standby mode (monitor Off)
Never, 2 Min, 5 Min, 10 Min
•TV Standard: NTSC, PAL (USA = NTSC)
•anguage: English
•Set Time: Year / Month / Day / Hour (24H) / Minute / Second
•Set ID : This programs the Officer ID
•Dev ID : This programs the Camera / Device ID
Camera Setup:
•Triple Shot: Record single or 3 images when a snapshot is taken
•Resolution: Select picture resolution - 3M / 12M / 16M (Digital
Enhancement)
•Pre-Video: Activate Pre-Event video (5 seconds) ON / O
- BCR records 5 seconds prior to recording function activation
•Delay Video: Activate Post-Event video (5 seconds) ON / O
- BCR records 5 seconds after recording function disengaged To set Time, Officer ID and Camera ID
1. Press OK button twice to select field (field will turn red)
2. Use arrow key to change number △▽
3. Press OK button to enter
4. Press camera icon to move to next field
5. Repeat steps 1 - 4
6. Move field to check mark to save and exit

Record Video
NOTE:
The BCR records both Audio and Video in the video recording mode
Date, Time, Officer and Camera ID are watermarked onto video recording
The screen will display recording time capacity based on the recoding
resolution and size of the SD card
• Press the Video Record Button ( ) once if the screen is already
on. If not, press twice to record
• To stop recording, press Record Button again
•Bookmark: During video recording, press ( OK ) button to book mark
the recording, file will be displayed in Red in the playback menu
•
A camera icon is located on the top left hand corner of the screen.
Event Recording / Continuous Recording
•The BCR records video in 2 methods: Event or Continuous Mode
•Settings for Continuous Recoding 10 /20 /30 min can be programmed in
the system setting > SEGMENT TIME
Event Recording:
While the BCR is on (standby), press the Video Record
( )
button
•
A camera icon is located on the top left hand corner of the screen.
Green – standby status
Red – Recording
While the BCR is on (standby), press the Video Record
( )
button
to start recoding and press again to stop recording.
Continuous Recording: 10 / 20 / 30 inute
Recoding time per file before automatically starting a new file
While the BCR is on (standby), press the Video Record button to start
recording. If no other action is taken, the BCR will continuously record up
until the preprogrammed time and automatically start recording a new
video file.
The recording can be stopped at anytime by pressing the Video Record
button.
