This Service Manual describes only the different points from the AL-840.

For servicing of the AL-841, therefore, use this Service Manual together

with that of the AL-840.

CONTENTS

AL-841

At the production line, the output power of

the scanner unit is adjusted to 0.33

MILLI-WATT PLUS 20 PCTS and is

maintained constant by the operation of the

Automatic Power Control (APC).

Even if the APC circuit fails in operation for

some reason, the maximum output power

will only be 15 MILLI-WATT 0.1 MICRO-

SEC. giving an acceptable emission level

of 42 MICRO-WATT which is still-less than

the limit of CLASS-1 laser product.

The foregoing is applicable only to the 220V

model, 230V model and 240V model.
