1.GENERALSAFETY RULES

ThismanualisanintegralpartofcuttingunitFP861Vandmustbecarefully

readbeforeusingitsinceitgivesimportantindicationswith regardstoitssafe

installation,useandmaintenance.Keepitwithcare.

BeforeusingcuttingunitFP861V,readcarefullythefollowinggeneralsafety

rules.

•PACKAGING.

Aftertakingoffthepackagingmakesurethatthecuttingunitisintact.Incaseof

doubtdonotuseitandcontactanauthorizedservicecentre.Donotleavepiecesof

packaging(plasticbags,foampolystyrene,boxes,etc.)withinthereachofchildren

ordisabledpersonssincetheyarepotentialsourcesofdanger.

•AVOIDDANGEROUSENVIRONMENTS.

•KEEPCHILDRENAWAY.

Unauthorizedpersons,inparticularchildren,mustbekeptawayfromtheworking

area.

•KEEPTHE WORKINGAREAALWAYSINORDER.

Theworkplacemustalwaysbekeptinorderandwelllightened.

Usethecuttingunitonlytocarryouttheworkstheyhavebeendesignedfor;do

BeforeconnectingcuttingunitFP861V,makesurethateverythingisinstalledproperly.

Donotuselargeclothesoraccessoriesthatmightgetstuck inthemovingparts.

•GOGGLESANDPROTECTIVEMETALMESHGLOVES.

Alwaysusegoggles,protectivemetalmesh glovesapprovedbyRasor®duringuse

andmaintenanceoperations(accordingtoUNIEN388:2004standard).

•SPAREPARTS.

Duringmaintenanceandreplacementoperations useonlyoriginalspareparts.

Blademaintenancemust beonlyperformedbyRasor®technicians.

•INSTALLATION.

Anyinstallationthatisnot inconformitywiththesespecifications couldjeopardize

yoursafetyandcancelsthewarranty.

Theoriginalconfigurationofthe cuttingunit mustnotbechangedatall.

Onreceivingthemachinemakesurethesupplycorrespondstowhathasbeenordered.

In caseofnon-complianceimmediatelyinform Rasor®.

Alsomakesurethecuttingunithas notbeendamagedduringtransport.

Thecuttingunitis deliveredin acardboardboxwhich contains therearevarious options.The

codeof theorderedproductandits serialnumberareindicatedoutsidethepackage(see

picture1).Thefollowingaccessoriesarecontainedinabaginsidethepackage(see picture

2):

1) HSS steelpolygonalblade;

2) Butterflykeyforbladenutdisassembly;

3) Driftforbladedisassembly.

Themanufacturer'sidentificationand2006/42/ECSTANDARDconformityplate(see picture

below) islocatedonthefrontpartof thecuttingunit.

The plate mustnotbe removedatall,evenifthe machine isresold.Alwaysreferto

theserialnumber(writtenontheplateitself)whencontactingthemanufacturer.

Severalsafetywarningsareprintedonacardwhichisappliedto thecuttingunitfeeding

cable;suchwarningsmust bestrictlyfollowedbyeveryonedealingwiththemachine. The

companyisnottobeheldresponsiblefordamagetopropertyoraccidentsto

peoplewhich might occur iftheabove-mentionedwarnings arenotobserved.In

such acase,theoperatoristheonlypersonresponsible.

4. PRODUCTDESCRIPTION

ThefixturedescribedinthismanualisapneumaticcuttingunitmodelFP861Vwhichcanbe

assembledonautomaticmachines(e.g.spreaders,computerizedcutting,etc...)bymeans of

aproperbracket.Thanksto areferencepinonthefrontpartandof aneffectivecutting

systemwith polygonalblade,thiscuttingunitcanbeusedformanyapplications:inparticular,

thiscuttingunithasbeendesignedtocuthardmaterialssuchasmoquette,polymericmaterials,

fiberglass,insulatingmaterialsandleather(evenrawhide).

Onespecialfeatureof cuttingFP861Visitsabilityto sharpenthebladeineachmoment

withoutdisassemblingitbymeans of agrindingwheelmountedonthecuttingunithead.

Aftercarryingoutthisoperation,itispossibleto startcuttingagain.Thepneumaticcutting

unitisprovidedwithathreadedconnectionto themajorityof theairpipes.Theturbine,

perfectlybalanced,withahighnumberof revolutions andtotallyfree of maintenance,reduces

thevibrations andthenoiseto theminimum.Thecuttingunitcanbeusedto cutdampor

wetmaterialsandthereforeparticularlyrecommendedintannery,dyeworks,etc... Theuse

ofcompressedairassourceofenergyallowsworkingcontinuouslywithoutproblemsof

heatingormotoroverload.Themechanicalparts aremadeupof steel,highresistantbronze

andaluminium andrequirealubricationaftermanyworkinghours.

Themaximum acousticpressurelevelemittedbycuttingunitFP861/A1isabout60 dB(A).

Noisetests havebeencarriedoutincompliancewithStandardISO11202. Thedevicenoise

levels,measuredatdifferentdistances(withoutanysoundwavefilteringsystem),varyinthe

extentof fewdb(A).Thenoiselevelhasbeeendetectedwiththesilencersuppliedwith

thefixtureassembledontheexhaust.Thesilencermust neverberemoved.

NOTE

It isadvisableforcuttingunitFP861/A1ownersto verifythecompliancewiththestandard

concerningsafetyof workers:referto theLocalLaw.Theuseof earprotectingdevicesis

compulsory.

CuttingunitFP861Vhasbeendesigned,manufacturedandassembledto cuttextileor

technicalfabrics,withtheexceptionof metal,plasticorwood,bymeans of rotaryblades.

Thisequipmentmust not work:

-inareasproneto explosions;

-inpresenceof finedustorcorrosivegases;

-to cutplastic,metalandwoodenmaterials.

Itisforbiddentousecuttingunit FP861/A1for purposes

differentfromtheabove-mentionedones.

9. RESIDUALRISKS

8.USE WARNINGS

We recommendfollowingtheindications belowinorderto alwaysworkinsafetyconditions.

·All theoperations must becarriedoutcomplyingstrictlywiththesafetyrulesof the

countrywherethefixtureissold.

·ItisSTRICTLYFORBIDDENto smokeduringtheinstallationoradjustmentoperations of

thecuttingunit.

·TheCustomerundertakesto complywithandmakehisstaffobservealltherulesand

regulationsinforceconcerningsafety,preventionof accidentsandhealthinthework

place.Therefore,theCustomerassumestheresponsibilitytostrictlyfollowalltherulesand

regulations inforce,as wellasthespecialprovisionsinforceinsportandpublicinstallations

theCustomerdeclaresto knowafterreceivingall therelativenecessaryinformation.

·Thecuttingunitworksalsowithouttheirsafetyprotectivedevice. Thisprotectivedevice

mustNEVERbe removed.

·Alwayschecktheresistanceof thematerialto becutandthekindofbladewhichisbeing

used.

·TheCustomershallequiphisownpersonnelwithalltheindividualsafetyprotectionsfor

theexecutionoftheworks,aswellaswiththeoneswhichmightbeprescribedbythe

Manufacturerduetospecificdangerconditionsoftheplantoroftheareawherethe

personnelmust work.

·Donotcarryoutanyadjustmentwhilethebladeisworking.

·Alwayspayattentionto thepositionof theairpipeto preventitfrombeingcutor

damagedbytheblade.

·Itispossibleto assemblecuttingunitFP861VonmachinesO.E.M.onlyiftheiroriginal

structureisnotmodified.Otherwise,theinterventionmustbecertifiedbyRasor®.

LThecuttingbladecanworkevenwhentheprotectivedeviceisdisassembled.

Eventhoughthecuttingunitissafe,operatorsmust payattentionto preservetheirand

otherpeople’ssafety.

10.INSTALLATION AND USE

Toinstall andusethecuttingunitdoasfollows:

1)Fixthecuttingunitto themachinebymeans of aflatorangle

bracketto mountontheupperpartof themotorsupportof

theunit.

NOTE

Thecuttingunitcanbeinstalledinanypositionorangle:vertical,

usidedown,lateral.Thealuminium basedoes not haveto touch the

machinetable.

2)Laydownthematerialto becut;

3)Connecttheairhosetoquickconnection“A”(notsupplied)

(see picture4);

4)Setthepressuregauge(option)to 6bar;

5)Putthematerialonthecuttingbase(see picture5);

6)Adjustthemovingfrontprotectionaccordingto thethickness of thematerialto cut;

7)Enabletheairremotelyandcarryoutthecuttingoperation.

NOTE

It ispossibleto usecuttingunitFP861/A1bothkeepingitfixedand

makingthematerialslideandviceversa.It isimportantto keepthe

materialto cutasstretchedaspossibleto preventitfromcurling

WARNING

Donotusethetwoboltswhich connectthemotortothe

cuttingpart tofixcuttingunit FP861/A1,otherwisethe

motorshaftcouldbreak.Inthiscasethewarrantywill be

void.

11.AIRPRESSUREGAUGE(OPTION)

Thecuttingunitmust benecessarilyfedwithlubricatedairwithapressureof 4-6bar.

Rasor®offers,asoption,areductionunitfilterwitha

pressuregaugealreadycalibratedwiththequantityof

oil to bedeliveredasoption.

Theunitshownalsoinpicture6ismadeupof:

1-pressurereducer;

2-valveto drainthecondensate;

3-drip-feedoilerunit;

4-oil tank;

5-pressuregauge;

6-condensatetank;

7-pipefittingto connectthequick connectionto

thenetwork;

8-pipefittingto connectthequick connectionto

thescissor.

Fortheuseandmaintenancereadtheinstructionsheet

suppliedwiththefilter.

12. BLADESHARPENING

Afterusingthecuttingunitforsomehourswithoutinterruption,

orifits cuttingcapacityisreduced,itisnecessaryto sharpen

theblade.

Tocarryoutthisoperation,startthebladeandpress sharpener

“2”on thebladeitself(bymeans of push button “1”,as shown

inpicture7)for3-4seconds.Repeatthisoperation2-3times.

Check periodicallythatthegrindingwheelisnot wornordirty.

Ifitis worn orits surfaceis irregular,replaceit.

13. LUBRICATION

Theremust not bestains of greaseoroil ontheblade.

WARNING

Every3-4workingdays,itisnecessaryto lubricatethegear

pair.Inorderto carryoutthisoperation,removeprotective

plug“A”locatedontheheadof thecuttingunitandfill it

withRasorlubricatinggrease.Screwplug“A”againafew

turns.Screwplug“A”afewturns every2-3workingdays

(seepicture8).

Oncetheplugisscreweduntil theend,fill itagain.
