1. Introduction
To all residents of the European Union
Important environmental information about this product
This symbol on the device or the package indicates that
disposal of the device after its lifecycle could harm the
environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as
unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken to a
specialized company for recycling. This device should be
returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect
the local environmental rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.

before bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in
transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.
2. Safety Instructions
Keep this device away from children and unauthorized users.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device. Refer
to an authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts.
Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may
explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable
batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance with
local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.
3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last
pages of this manual.
•Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually
using it.
•Keep this device away from dust and extreme temperatures.
•Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when
operating the device.

•Respect a minimum distance of 0.5 m between the device and any
other object.
•All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.
Damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered
by the warranty.
•Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in
an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
•Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual
is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept
responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
•Keep this manual for future reference.
4. Features

5. Operation
Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.
a. Switching on and Off
•To switch on the device, push the on/off button [1] in the AUTO
position (down). The lamp will automatically light up in standby
mode at night: only the LED behind the horizontal strips [5] is lit.
•When the device detects motion, the bottom LED [6] lights up as
well to illuminate the area.
•To switch off the device, push the on/off button [1] to the OFF
position (up). The battery will charge, but the lamp will not light
up at night.

b. The Battery
It is recommended to charge the battery for 1 or 2 days in direct
sunlight before the first use. This will increase battery life
expectancy.
1. Switch off the device [1] before (re)placing batteries.
2. Loosen the screws at the back of the device [2] and remove the
covers.
3. Place a new battery of the correct size and type in the device.
Respect the polarity!
4. Replace the covers and fix them by tightening the screws.
c. Mounting on the Wall
Fix a screw into the wall and let it protrude at least 5mm. Hang the
lamp unit on the screw [3].
6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Keep the solar panel [4] clean to optimise performance.
It is recommended to change the battery once per year.

1. Inleiding

Belangrijke milieu informatie betreffende dit product
Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat,
als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel
schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en
eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke
afval; het moet bij een gespecialiseerd bedrijf
terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw verdeler of
naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen. Respecteer de plaatselijke
milieuwetgeving.
Hebt u vragen, contacteer dan de plaatselijke autoriteiten
betreffend de verwijdering.

U mag batterijen nooit doorboren of in het vuur gooien.
Herlaad geen alkalinebatterijen. Gooi batterijen weg volgens
de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving. Houd batterijen uit het
bereik van kinderen.
3. Algemene richtlijnen
Raadpleeg de Velleman® service en kwaliteitsgarantie
achteraan deze handleiding.
•Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat
gebruiken.
•Bescherm tegen stof en extreme temperaturen.
•Bescherm tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de
bediening.
•Voorzie een ruimte van minstens 0.5 m tussen het apparaat en
elk ander object.
•Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen.
Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft aangebracht valt
niet onder de garantie.
•Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. Bij
onoordeelkundig gebruik vervalt de garantie.
•De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde
richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de
verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier
rechtstreeks verband mee houden.
•Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.
4. Eigenschappen

5. Gebruik
Raadpleeg de afbeelding op pagina 2 van deze handleiding.
a. Aan en uitschakelen
•Om het toestel in te schakelen, plaats de aan/uit-knop [1] in de
Auto-stand (naar beneden). De lamp zal automatisch in stand-by
modus branden bij schemerlicht: enkel de LED achter de
horizontale lichtbalkjes [5] brandt.
•Bij bewegingsdetectie brandt ook de onderste LED [6] om de
zone te verlichten.
•Plaats de aan/uit-knop [1] in OFF-stand (naar boven) om het
toestel uit te schakelen. De batterij laadt op, maar de lamp licht
niet op als het donker wordt.
b. De batterij
Het is aangeraden de batterij gedurende 1 of 2 dagen op te laden in
direct zonlicht vóór het eerste gebruik. Dit verhoogt de levensduur
van de batterij.
1. Schakel het toestel uit [1] alvorens de batterij te plaatsen of te
vervangen.
2. Draai de schroeven aan de achterkant van het toestel [2] los en
verwijder de deksels.
3. Plaats een batterij van de aanbevolen grootte en type in het
toestel. Respecteer de polariteit!
4. Plaats de dekses terug en schroef ze opnieuw vast.
c. Wandmontage
Draai een schroef in de muur en laat de kop minstens 5mm
uitsteken. Hang de lamp aan de schroef. [3].
6. Reiniging en onderhoud
Houd het zonnepaneel [4] proper voor een optimale werking.
Het is aanbevolen de batterij minstens eenmaal per jaar te
vervangen.
