Do not use high speed power tools/drills when installing hardware.
The use of dielectric grease is not recommended on any NORAC electrical
connections.
To ensure all stainless steel hardware does not gall or seize apply a light coating of
the supplied Permatex Anti-seize grease to all threaded parts upon installation.
Permatex Anti-seize lubricant is preferred, but other similar anti-seize products
may be used.

3Hydraulic Installation
Ensure all pressure has been bled from the system before disconnecting any lines
or fittings. Hydraulic pressure will exist on the main lift circuit unless the main lift
is all the way down.
Component failure due to oil contamination is not covered under the NORAC
UC4.5 system warranty. It is recommended that a qualified technician perform the
hydraulic installation.
3.1 Expansion Block Assembly
1. Use Figure 1 as a reference for installing the hydraulics.
2. Loosen the existing 2-station valve block so that it can be moved and/or twisted for the
installation of the expansion block.
3. Remove the four 4MBP plugs from the 2 station valve block.
4. Coat the four o-rings in hydraulic oil and install them into the expansion block. Ensure the
o-rings are seated properly.
5. Attach the expansion block to the 2 station block using the included spring washers and
bolts.
6. Tighten the bolts to 31 ft-lbs.

3.2 Hydraulic Plumbing
1. Remove all plastic plugs from the NORAC expansion valve block (V01).
2. Install the 6MB 6MOR fittings (F04) into the “A” and “B” ports of the expansion block.
3. If the valve block is not already installed on the sprayer, install it as outlined in the UC4.5
Spray Height Control installation manual.
4. Attach the straight 6FORX fittings on hoses H02 to the “A” and “B” ports on the expansion
block. Route the free end of the hoses (H02) to the Case main lift tee, which is located
near the sprayer axle (Figure 3).
Figure 3: Case Main Lift Tee Location
5. Disconnect the “raise” hose that runs from the Case valve block to the main lift tee and
install the 6FORX 6MORT fitting (F03). Reconnect the “raise” hose to the tee.
6. Connect the NORAC hose (H02) that is connected to the B port on the NORAC
expansion block to the tee fitting (F03).
7. Disconnect the “lower” hose that runs from the Case valve block to the main lift tee and
install the 6FORX 6MORT fitting (F03). Reconnect the “lower” hose to the tee.
8. Connect the NORAC hose (H02) that is connected to the A port on the NORAC
expansion block to the tee fitting (F03).
Ensure no hydraulic components will interfere with any sprayer parts or be pulled
tight at any time.
7
3.3 Main Lift Valve Installation
If the sprayer was built prior to model year 2007 then the main lift valve may have to be
replaced with a part from your local Case Dealership. If the booms will go up, but not down;
the valve will need to be replaced. The Case part number of the valve is 87558232.
1. Lower the main lift all the way to the bottom. Turn off the sprayer ignition.
2. Loosen the hoses on each side of one of the main lift cylinders located at the back of the
sprayer. This is to remove any pressure from the system.
3. Remove the coils from the main lift valve, located under the sprayer.
Figure 4 - Main Lift Valve location
4. Thread the valve out of the valve housing and thread the new valve in.
5. Reinstall the coils onto the new main lift valve.
