Customer’s Responsibilities
It is the ustomer’s responsibility to ensure that all required support servi es are
available, and that all ne essary he ks are made prior to installing the test
system.These servi es and he ks are des ribed below.
Site Preparation
Proper site preparation is imperative so that the test system operates in
a ordan e with its spe ifi ations and provides a urate test results. The
ustomer must ensure that the site requirements are satisfied prior to s heduling
the installation appointment.
Handling and Transporting
Unless spe ifi ally arranged otherwise, it is the ustomer’s responsibility to
arrange the off-loading, unpa king and moving of the test system to the final site
lo ation. For details on handling and transporting your system to its final
lo ation, see “Lift and Move Instru tions” on page 29.
Upon spe ial arrangements, an MTS servi e engineer an supervise the off-
loading and transportation of the load frame to its final site. Conta t the MTS
Servi e department or your lo al MTS offi e for additional information on this
servi e.
It is the ustomer’s responsibility to provide slings and hoist rings. Slings and
hoist rings must onform to lo al odes and regulations and be sized orre tly to
support the weight of the load frame. Weights and thread sizes are provided in
this manual.
Insurance and Safety
Under MTS’ standard ontra t, the shipping terms are Ex-Works (or FOB
Fa tory), meaning ownership and liability for the test system transfers to the
ustomer at MTS’ loading do k. Unless other shipping terms are spe ified in a
pur hase order, whi h MTS does not dispute, the Ex-Works shipping terms
apply. Under these terms, the ustomer is responsible for se uring the appli able
transit insuran e on the shipment and arranging safe transport to the final
destination. Arrangements an be made through MTS to se ure insuran e
overage and shipping, at the ustomer’s expense.
When transporting a load frame within your own premises, you are responsible
for its safe transport. Upon spe ial arrangements, an MTS servi e engineer an
