FOREWORD
RF Energy Exposure and Product Safety
Guide for Portable Two-Way Radios
ATTENTION!
Before using this product, read the RF Energy
Exposure and Product Safety Guide that ships with
the radio which contains instructions for safe usage
and RF energy awareness and control for
compliance with applicable standards and
regulation.
DESCRIPTION
The PMLN6827 Push-To-Talk (PTT) Interface
Module is equipped with a large PTT button. The
guarded ring around the PTT button secures the
PTT button from any accidental actuate and can be
removed when situations require.
The module is designed to be used with various
types of Motorola Solutions headsets as well as
remote PTT switch for greater flexibility.

ATTACHING EXTERNAL ACCESSORY
TO INTERFACE MODULE
1. Insert the audio accessory into the accessory
jack of interface module.
2. Securely tighten the waterproof ring.
NOTE: Always ensure the waterproof ring is
securely tighten at all times, if the ring is
loose, waterproof function will be lost.

ATTACHING REMOTE PTT BUTTON
TO INTERFACE MODULE
1. Unscrew and remove the waterproof cap
attached to the external PTT terminal of
interface module.
2. Insert the optional remote PTT button into the
external PTT terminal.
3. Securely tighten the waterproof ring.
NOTE: Always ensure the waterproof ring is
securely tighten at all times, if the ring is
loose, waterproof function will be lost.

IMPORTANT: When not in use, cover the external
PTT terminal with waterproof cap to
keep out dust and water.
OPERATION
Attaching Interface Module Connector To
The Radio
1. Turn the radio OFF.
2. Connect the Interface Module connector to
the radio.
3. Turn the radio ON, adjusting the audio
volume to an appropriate level.
Receiving
1. When the Interface Module is connected to
the radio side connector, the radio speaker is
muted and the audio is only heard from the
audio accessory speaker.

Transmitting
1. Press and hold down the Interface Module or
Remote PTT button and begin speaking in
order to transmit.
2. Your radio will return to receiving mode when
you release the PTT button.
Removing Interface Module Connector
From The Radio
1. Turn the radio OFF before removing the
Interface Module connector from the radio.

DESCRIPTION
Le module d'interface PMLN6827 Push-To -Talk
(PTT) est équipé d'un grand bouton PTT. La
protection entourant le bouton PTT sécurise le
bouton contre l'activation accidentelle et peut être
retirée lorsque les situations l'exigent.
Le module est conçu pour être utilisé avec
différents types de casques Motorola Solutions
ainsi qu'un commutateur PTT externe pour une
plus grande flexibilité.

FIXATION D'UN ACCESSOIRE
EXTERNE AU MODULE D'INTERFACE
1. Insérez l'accessoire audio dans le connecteur
d'accessoire du module d'interface.
2. Serrez fermement le joint étanche.
REMARQUE : Assurez-vous que l'anneau est
correctement serré en tout temps.
Si l'anneau est lâche, la fonction
d'étanchéité sera perdue.

FIXATION DU TERMINAL PTT
DISTANT AU MODULE D'INTERFACE
1. Dévissez et retirez le capuchon d'étanchéité
relié au terminal PTT externe du module
d'interface.
2. Insérez le terminal PTT distant en option dans
le terminal PTT externe.
3. Serrez fermement le joint étanche.

REMARQUE : Assurez-vous que l'anneau est
correctement serré en tout temps.
Si l'anneau est lâche, la fonction
d'étanchéité sera perdue.

IMPORTANT : Lorsque vous ne l'utilisez pas,
couvrez le terminal PTT externe
avec le capuchon d'étanchéité afin
de le conserver à l'abri de la
poussière et de l'eau.
OPÉRATION
Fixation du connecteur du module
d'interface à la radio
1. Éteignez la radio.
2. Branchez le connecteur du module d'interface
à la radio.
3. Allumez la radio et réglez le volume audio à
un niveau approprié.

Réception
1. Lorsque le module d'interface est branché au
connecteur latéral de la radio, le haut-parleur
de la radio est désactivé et le son ne peut être
entendu qu'à partir du haut-parleur de
l'accessoire audio.
Transmission
1. Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé le module
d'interface ou le terminal PTT distant, puis
commencez à parler pour transmettre.
2. Votre radio revient en mode réception lorsque
vous relâchez le bouton PTT.
Retrait du connecteur du module
d'interface de la radio
1. Éteignez la radio avant de retirer le
connecteur du module d'interface.
