Product Description

With the DOM Roq® locking system, a mechanical / electrical cylinder locking system is
available that can be operated either mechanically (key from the outside) and manually from
the inside. In addition, the locking cylinder can be operated motor-driven (electric-motor). The
motor unit (1) can be controlled either via internet, with the connection adapter / gateway (4),
with an app for smartphone operation, or from the outside with the key and from the inside
with the hand wheel (2), or push button (3). The hand wheel (2) is used to manually close /
open the door from the inside and also fulfils the function of "comfort opening and closing" by
pressing the push button (3).
The special cylinder (5) from DOM, DOM MCM or DOM Titan with mounting (6) for the car-
dan coupling of the motor unit ensures maintenance-free and loss-free power transmission to
the closing mechanism.
Due to sensors (rotation path and laser), detection of the status door open / closed, lock
locked / unlocked via smartphone is possible at any time, without any wiring or external sen-
sor.
Intruder attempts, as well as a break-in, are detected via sensors and transmitted to the app,
which then alerts you.

By using the optional accessory, the door can be locked / unlocked via the DOM Roq® Pin
Code Reader with transponders or pin codes (number combinations).
Notifications to your smartphone help you check when your children are arriving at or leaving
home.

In these mounting instructions, some sections are highlighted by pictograms. Memorise the
symbols and their meaning:

Important Notes
Attention! Small parts can be swallowed!
A locking cylinder and its components do not belong in the hands of infants. Do
not allow children to play with the products.
Attention! Material damage due to incorrect storage.
If you store the DOM Roq® motor unit for a longer period of time before assem-
bly, store all components in the original packaging, dust-free and at room tem-
perature.
Attention! Damage due to improper assembly or operation.
Read these instructions completely and carefully before mounting. Follow the
instructions step by step. DOM accepts no liability for damage caused by im-
proper installation.
Attention! Material damage due to improper use.
Never throw or drop the DOM Roq® motor unit.

Attention! Material damage due to heavily moving lock or door.
Maintain lock or replace with a new lock if necessary. Straighten a door that is
under tension.
Before installation, test the door for proper closure and friction-free running of
the latch and deadbolt in the striking plate.

It cannot be ruled out that there is a risk of injury when inserting the key and
simultaneously activating the motor drive, due to the large torque of the motor
unit. Never try to hold a turning key.

The DOMRoq® motor unit is designed exclusively for indoor use.
Note!
Before purchasing or at the latest before installation, you should always perform
the "Door Check-Up" on the www.dom-roq.com website. Particularly with doors
that open outwards (not explicitly described here), there may be problems with
the backset. If you are not sure or want to install the motor unit on an outward-
opening door, consult a DOM specialist dealer to verify the installation situation
and mounting.

Scope of Delivery
With every DOM Roq® order you receive the following components:
1. DOM Roq® motor unit consisting of:
Motor unit
Battery pack
USB-C cable for charging the battery pack (power supply 5V 3.0A)
Base plate
Depending on the customer's choice (depending on the customer's door and fitting
dimensions): 2 screws each M5 x length A, B and C and M6 x length A, B and C
[(Direct fastening of the base plate with external fitting. Length range depending on
the determined door leaf thickness and preservation of the inside shield, or if neces-
sary its omission (With the special countersunk washers respectively for M5 and M6
countersunk screws)].
According to your specifications, a total of 6 pairs of different screw lengths are sup-
plied.
2 screws each M5 x length A and M6 x length A
(according to your specifications)
2 screws each M5 x length B and M6 x length B (B = A + 5 mm)
2 screws each M5 x length C and M6 x length C (C = A - 5 mm)
2 screws each M4 x12 mm and M4 x16 mm
(Direct attachment of the base plate to the cylinder)
Reflector with adhesive surface (for sticking on glass or mirror surfaces so that the la-
ser can detect the door status)
Cardboard template for testing the point of impact of the laser
2. Connection adapter / gateway for internet access of the motor unit
3. DOM Roq® lock cylinder (outside key, inside cardan shafts - connection for DOM
Roq® motor unit)
4. 3 mechanical keys
5. Forend screw (fixing screw for the cylinder in the lock)

You must keep the security card in a safe place to which only authorised per-
sons have access.

Double-sided adhesive foam part (size L x W x H / 131 x 40 x 15 mm)
(Holes pre-punched for mounting stabilization of a shield/rosette).

Attention!
For additional screwing into the door leaf below the fitting.
This attachment is optional and is used for stabilisation.
Before proceeding, check the ownership of the door and ask the owner for per-
mission if necessary. After dismantling, the door has two holes that cannot be
covered by later application of fittings.
Note!
The adapter kit is not required for mounting directly on the door leaf.

To measure the cylinder lengths (A = outer length on the outside of the door and B = inner
length on the inside of the door) of the existing cylinder (measured on the cylinder body, not
on the cores. This usually protrude 1-2 mm) to measure proceed as follows:
1. Use a ruler or order a DOM measuring aid from your DOM dealer. (See also You
Tube help from DOM.)
2. Measure exactly the distance with the ruler from the outside (length A) to the middle
of the forend screw (fixing screw of the cylinder) and then from the inside to the mid-
dle of the forend screw (length B).
3. This will give you the dimensions (A and B) of your old cylinder, which are required to
determine the new cylinder accordingly.

Note! If your handle set has a so-called "pull protection", it is useful to remove
the cylinder to avoid measuring errors.

To be able to measure the cylinder lengths, it is useful to dismount the cylinder.
Attention!
When removing, make sure which side is on the inside (leave the key in) and
which is on the outside. See also "Removing the old cylinder" (page 12).
