Theunitcanbeoperatedusingbatteriesalone.
1. Removethebatterycover.
2. InsertsixUM‐2sizebatteriesintothebatterycompartment.
Makesureallbatteriesareinsertedwiththecorrectpolarityasshownonthe
insideofthebatterycompartment.
3. Replacethebatterycover.

Iftheunitisnottobeusedforaprolongedperiodoftime,removethe
batteriestoavoiddamagebybatteryleakage.
MAINSOPERATION
1. Placetheplayeronaflatstablesurface.
2. PlugthemainsleadintotheAC~jacklocatedontherearoftheplayerensuringthat
theplugispushedfullyintothejack.
3. Plugtheotherendofthemainsleadintothemainssocket.
Themainssocketusedfortheplayermustremainaccessibleduringnormal
use.Inordertodisconnecttheplayerfromthemains,themainsplugshouldbe
removedfromthemainspowersocketcompletely.
SWITCHINGONTHEUNIT
SettheFUNCTIONswitchtotheTUNERorCD/MP3/USB/AUXpositiontoturnonthe
unit.
Ifthereisnooperationwithinabout15minuteswhentheFUNCTIONswitchissetto
theCD/MP3/USB/AUXposition,theunitwillturnoffautomatically.
Press toswitchontheunitagain.
FMRADIOOPERATION
1. Extendthetelescopicaerial.
Note:Fullyextendandrepositiontheaerialforoptimumreception.
2. SettheFUNCTIONswitchtotheTUNERposition.
ThePOWERindicatorlightwillilluminate.
3. TurntheVOLUMEcontrolknobtoacomfortablevolumelevel.
4. TurntheTUNINGknobtotuneintothedesiredFMstation.
TheFMST.indicatorlightwillilluminateforastereosignal.
5. TurnofftheradiobysettingtheFUNCTIONswitchtotheOFFposition.
DISCSOPERATION
Compactdiscs
UseonlyDigitalAudioCDswiththesymbol.
NeverwriteonaCDorattachanystickertotheCD.AlwaysholdtheCDattheedge
andstoreitinitsboxafterusewiththelabelfacingup.
Toremovedustanddirt,breatheontheCDandwipeitwitha
soft,lintfreeclothinastraightlinefromthecentretowardsthe
edge.

CleaningagentsmaydamagetheCD.
DonotexposetheCDtorain,moisture,sandortoexcessiveheat.
CD/CD‐R/CD‐RW/MP3discs
TheplayercanplaybackCD/CD‐R/CD‐RW/MP3discsthathavebeenfinalisedupon
completionofrecording.
Theplayermayfailtoplaybacksomediscsduetopoorrecordingandwidevariationin
qualityofthediscs.
Insertingadisc
1. PushtherightcorneroftheCDdoortoopenit.
2. Insertadisconthedisctraywiththelabelsidefacingup.
3. ClosetheCDdoor.
PlayingaCD
1. SettheFUNCTIONswitchtotheCD/MP3/USB/AUXposition.
TheplayerwillscanthecontentsoftheCD.Thetotalnumberoftrackswillthen
bedisplayed.
2. Theplayerwillstartbypressing.
Playbackwillstartfromthefirsttrackandthedisplaywillshowthecurrenttrack
numberandthesymbol.
3. AdjustthevolumebyturningtheVOLUMEcontrolknob.
4. YoucanactivatethebassboostfunctionbypressingBBS.
Theunitwillboostthesoundoutputofthebassfrequencies.
Todeactivatethisfunction,pressBBSagain.
5. Tointerruptplayback,.
Thesymbolandthecurrenttracknumberwillflashonthedisplay.
6. Toresumeplayback,pressagain.
Thesymbolandthecurrenttracknumber willstopflashing.
7. Tostopplayback,pressSTOP/USB.
Thetotalnumberoftrackswillappearonthedisplay.
Note:
TheCDdoorshouldonlybeopenedwhentheCDisinstopmode.
Ifnodiscisloadedintothecompartmentorthediscisplacedupsidedown,the
displaywillshow“NOd”.
Selectingatrack
WhiletheCDisplaying,repeatedlypress / toplaythedesiredtrack.
Note:Youcanalsorepeatedlypress / toselectthedesiredtrackwhenthe
playerisinstopmode.Presstoplaytheselectedtrack.
