Before initial use
1. Wipe themotor unit with aslightly dampcloth. Neverimmerse themotor unit
inwater.
2. Wash all other parts in warm water with washing-up liquid. Thejug, beakers and
lids are dishwasher safe if washed in top rack of the dishwasher. Donot wash any
of theblade assemblies in thedishwasher.
3. Rinse and dry the parts carefully.
Operating instructions
Note:
• Theblade assemblies are very sharp and should be handled with extremecare.
• Hot ingredients must only be blended in thejug (1) with thelid cap removed.
• Place theblender on afirm, level surface.
• Never fill thejug or beakers over theMAXmark.
• Never use theblender on uncooked root vegetables, potatoes, large pieces of
meat,etc.
• Never use theblender for mixingdough.
• Never use theblender for longer than 2 minutes at atime. Switch themotor off
and let it cool down for afew minutes before using itagain.
• Never turn on theblender without any of theblade assemblies and containers
attached.
• Never attach other types of blade assemblies or containers onto themotorunit.
• Never use theblade assemblies, jug or beakers on another blendermotor.
• Never remove thejug or any other of thecontainers from themotor unit while
theblender is turnedon.
• Never attempt to attach thejug or any other of thecontainers to themotor unit
while theblender is turnedon.
• Do not operate theblender when any of theattached containers isempty.
Using the large and small sized beakers
Note: Neverfill any of thecontainers with hot foods or liquids.
1. Make sure that themains lead is unplugged.
2. Fill thebeaker (11 or 12) with ingredients.
3. Screw thecross-blade assembly (7) onto thebeaker (making sure that theblade
assembly gasket is in place). Tighten properly, but do not overtighten.
4. Place theassembled container with blade assembly onto themotor unit by
aligning theunlock symbol on the blade assembly with the ▲symbol on
themotorunit.
5. Turn thecontainer until thelock symbol is aligned with the▲symbol on
themotorunit. Note: The blender will not start unless all the parts are assembled
correctly.
6. Plug themains lead into awall socket.

7. Turn theblender on by turning thefunction knob to LO, HI or PULSE. Thepulse
setting is spring loaded and must be held in place in order for themotor tostart.
Neverrun theblender for more than 2 minutes at atime. Letthemotor cool down
alittle before using itagain.
8. Turn thefunction knob to the OFF position once you have finished blending.
9. Unscrew thecontainer with blade assembly from themotor unit and unscrew
theblade assembly from thecontainer and pour theingredients into another
container or use theincluded lid to close thecontainer for storage.
Using the grinding beaker
Note: Neverfill thegrinding beaker with hot foods or liquids. Thegrinding beaker
is designed for cutting onions, garlic, spices, nuts, cheese, coffee beans, bread
crumbs,etc.
1. Make sure that themains lead is unplugged.
2. Fill thebeaker with ingredients.
3. Screw theflat-blade assembly (16) onto thebeaker (making sure that theblade
assembly gasket is in place). Tighten properly, but do not overtighten.
4. Place theassembled container (14) with blade assembly onto themotor unit by
aligning theunlock symbol on the blade assembly with the ▲symbol on
themotorunit.
5. Turn thecontainer until thelock symbol is aligned with the▲symbol on
themotorunit. Note: The blender will not start unless all the parts are assembled
correctly.
6. Plug themains lead into awall socket.
7. Turn theblender on by turning thefunction knob to LO or HI. Neverrun
theblender for more than 30 seconds at atime. Letthemotor cool down for
30seconds before using itagain.
8. Turn thefunction knob to the OFF position once you have finished blending.
9. Unscrew thecontainer with blade assembly from themotor unit and unscrew
theblade assembly from thecontainer and pour theingredients into another
container or use theincluded lid to close thecontainer for storage.
Using the juice extractor screen
Note:
• Use thejuice extractor screen (3) and only soft fruits for thebest results.
• Never remove thelid of the jug while theblender ison.
1. Cut thefruits into 2 cm pieces.
2. Make sure that themains lead is unplugged.
3. Screw thecross-blade assembly (7) onto thejug (making sure that theblade
assembly gasket is in place). Tighten properly, but do not overtighten.

4. Place thejuice extractor screen so that thewider end covers theblades on
thebottom of the jug. Turnthescreen assembly until its cut-outs fall over thelugs
in thejug and locks intoplace.
5. Place thelid (2) onto thejug and turn it clockwise until it locks intoplace.
6. Place theassembled jug with blade assembly onto themotor unit by aligning
theunlock symbol on the blade assembly with the ▲symbol on themotorunit.
7. Turn thecontainer until thelock symbol is aligned with the▲symbol on
themotorunit. Note: The blender will not start unless all the parts are assembled
correctly.
8. Plug themains lead into awall socket.
9. Turn theblender on by turning thefunction knob to HI.
10. Drop the pieces of fruit through the hole in the centre of the lid and insert thefood
pusher (5) into thehole. Gently push down thefood pusher when needed.
11. Turn thefunction knob to the OFF position once you have finished blending.
12. Unscrew thejug with blade assembly from themotor unit and pour theingredients
into another container.
Using the jug without the juice extractor screen
Note: Neverremove thelid of the jug while theblender ison.
1. Make sure that themains lead plug is completely unplugged.
2. Screw thecross-blade assembly (7) onto thejug (making sure that theblade
assembly gasket is in place). Tighten properly, but do not overtighten.
3. Fill with ingredients. Makesure that you do not fill over theMAXmark.
4. Place thelid (2) onto thejug and turn
it clockwise until it locks intoplace.
Makesure that thepour openings in
thelid are in line with thespout.

5. Insert thelid cap (1) into thejug lid and turn it anticlockwise until it locks intoplace.
Note: Donot insert thelid cap (1) back into thejug lid if you are planning to blend
hot ingredients.
6. Place theassembled jug with blade assembly onto themotor unit by aligning
theunlock symbol on the blade assembly with the ▲symbol on themotorunit.
7. Turn thecontainer until thelock symbol is aligned with the▲symbol on
themotorunit. Note: The blender will not start unless all the parts are assembled
correctly.
8. Plug themains lead into awall socket.
9. Turn theblender on by turning thefunction knob to HI or LO. Neverrun
theblender for more than 2 minutes at atime. Letthemotor cool down alittle
before using itagain.
10. If you want to add more ingredients, remove thelid cap (1) and add them through
thehole in thejuglid.
11. Turn thefunction knob to the OFF position once you have finished blending.
12. Unscrew thejug with blade assembly from themotor unit and pour theingredients
into another container.
Care and maintenance
• Note: Always unplug theblender and make sure that thefunction selector is set to
OFF before cleaning.
• Never immerse themotor unit inwater. Cleantheblender using adampcloth.
Useonly mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Great care should be exercised when handling and cleaning theblade assembly.
Theblades are verysharp.
• Wash all other parts in warm water with washing-up liquid. Thecontainers and lids
are dishwasher safe if washed in thetop rack of the dishwasher. Donot wash any
of theblade assemblies in thedishwasher.
• Analternative way of cleaning thecontainers is to fill them with water, attach
theknife assembly to be cleaned and attach it to themotorunit. Turnthefunction
knob to PULSE mode several times to agitate thewater and clean thecontainer.
• Therubber gaskets (6 and 15) can be removed for cleaning. Becareful when you
remove and refit thegaskets as theblades are verysharp.
• Rinse and dry the parts carefully.
