1 General information
1.1 Short description
Server cabinets generally contain high-value equipment and sensitive
data that must be protected. The ISO 27001 standard for information
security requires that only authorized people have access to server
cabinets and that every access is logged.
The electronic IF-191 Server Cabinet Lock is the ideal solution to meet
the highest levels of security for a wide variety of applications in a
simple and cost-effective way.
The key feature of the IF-191 Server Cabinet Lock is that it can be
directly integrated into the IF-6020 and IF-6040 access control
systems, where time profiles and permissions are managed and
transferred to electronic credentials.
The Server Cabinet Lock reads the access permissions on credentials
by means of proven NetworkOnCard technology and allows authorized
users to open the server cabinet.
IF-191 is compatible with all standard server cabinets. Adapters for
cabinets from Rittal, Vertiv/Knürr, and Modulan are also available.
The Server Cabinet Lock is delivered with a fixed backset according to the ordered version. Subsequent
changes are not meant to be made.

Check the completeness and condition of the goods upon receipt and report any damage caused
during transport immediately.
1.4 Intended use
With the IF-191 Server Cabinet Lock, you can manage and control your server cabinets in a convenient
and efficient way. The Server Cabinet Lock is operated with passive identification media.
The IF-191 Server Cabinet Lock may only be used for opening and closing server cabinet doors.
Any other use is not in accordance with the intended purpose and therefore not permitted. Modifications
to the device are not permitted.

This document is solely intended for experts and people trained in electrical engineering.
Only perform the actions described in this document if you belong to this target group. Interflex
Datensysteme GmbH is not liable for any damages caused by improper installation or initial
operation.

The device may only be installed, placed into initial operation and troubleshooted by qualified
personnel and people trained in electrical engineering.

Malfunction due to radio interference
This product may be affected by electromagnetic or magnetic interference.
uDo not place the product directly next to devices that can cause electromagnetic or magnetic
interference, especially not near switching power supplies.

Damage due to electrostatic discharge (ESD)
Electrical components and modules can be damaged by only slight, hardly noticeable electrostatic
discharge (ESD) without this becoming immediately obvious. ESD damages result in malfunctions and
even failure of the product.
uMake sure that effective protective measures against electrostatic discharge are in place when
working on the open device.

Blocked access due to improper mounting or faulty programming
If you modify the product without authorization, malfunctions may occur, and access may be blocked.

2 Initial operation
2.1 Programming
The programming of NoC components is described in the Interflex offline components document.
2.2 Mounting to cabinet
The Server Cabinet Lock can be mounted to all standard server cabinets. In addition, Interflex offers
adapters for other server cabinets that are not compatible with the rotary locking mechanism.

To mount the Server Cabinet Lock on a standard cabinet, proceed as follows:
1. Loosen the retaining clip 6

2. Hang the Server Cabinet Lock in the cutout on the door and press
the spindle into the locking mechanism
3. Screw the locking mechanism to the Server Cabinet Lock from the
inside of the door using screws 1

4. Fasten the retaining clip with screw 6
5. Place the lock housing 4 on the spindle and fasten it to 1
As an alternative, the locking mechanism on the cabinet can be used instead of the provided lock
housing.
6. Insert the matching cover cap on the top and push it down into the
retaining plate until it clicks into place.

7. Connect the Server Cabinet Lock to the power supply via 5
The Server Cabinet Lock can alternatively be connected to power via the USB C socket on the
bottom of the device. The connection is protected by a cover.
