Congratulations on your choice to purchase Acme product!
For your convenience record the complete model number and the date you received the product,
together with your purchase receipt and attach to the warranty and service information. Retain in
the event that warranty service is required.
NOTE: The rating of this product (as marked on the product identication plate) is based on specic
loading tests. Normal use or the use of other recommended attachments may draw signicantly less
power.
Important safeguards
When using any electrically powered product, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT.
WARNING: to reduce the risk of re, electrical shock or injury to persons or property.
• Always operate the product from a power source of the same voltage, frequency and rating as
indicated on the product identication plate.
• Close supervision is necessary when the product is used by or near children or invalids. Do not
allow children to use it as a toy.
• Do not operate any product with a damaged cord or plug, or after the product malfunction,
or is dropped or appears damaged in any way. Return the complete product to the place of
purchase for inspection, repair or placement.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse or expose the product or exible cord to
rain, moisture or any liquid other than those necessary for correct operation of the product.

• This product should not be used in the immediate vicinity of water, such as bathtub, washbowls
or any other vessel containing water or other liquids, or when standing in/on a damp or wet
surface.
• Switch o and unplug from outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts
and before cleaning. Remove by grasping the plug-do not pull on the cord.
• Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
• Do not operate or place any part of the product on or near any hot surfaces (such as a gas or
electric burner or hotplate or in a heated oven).
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or bench or touch any hot surfaces.
• The use of attachments or accessories not recommended or sold by the product distributor
may cause personal or property hazards or injuries.
• Avoid touching hot surfaces, use handles and knobs.
• This product is intended for normal domestic / household use only.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors.

• Touching some of the internal components can cause serious personal injury or death. Do not
disassemble this appliance.
• Improper use of the earthing can result in electric shock. Do not plug into a socket until
appliance is properly installed and earthed.

TWOROUNDPIN PLUG
This appliance must be earthed. In the event of an electrical short circuit,
earthing reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the
electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having an earthing wire
with an earthing plug. The plug must be plugged into a socket that is properly
installed and earthed.
Consult a qualied electrician or serviceman if the earthing instructions are
not completely understood or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is
properly earthed. If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a 3-wire extension cord.
1. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled
in or tripping over a longer cord.
2. If a long cord set or extension cord is used:
a) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as high as
the electrical rating of the appliance.
b) The extension cord must be an earthing type 3-wire cord.
c) The long cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop
where it can be pulled by children or tripped over unintentionally.
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC): the Acme appliance complies with all standards regarding
electromagnetic elds.
For your safety
• Always operate the product in accordance with these use instructions.
• Do not operate the product with a damaged cord or plug, or after the product malfunctions
or appears damaged in any manner. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for

• In some products the replacement by the user of the exible cord is not intended. Special tools
are required to disassemble the product or replace the cord. Return the complete product to

parts inside. Return all servicing to an authorized service facility.

• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot
liquids.
• Donotplaceonornearahotgasorelectricburnerorinaheatedoven.
• Alwaysuseplastic,rubberorwoodenutensilswhencookingorserving.Ifusingmetalutensils,
be careful not to scrape the non stick nish.
• Wedonotrecommendthisunitfordefrostingfood.

Usage
PREHEATING
• Placetheunitonasuitableatsurface
• Ensure the grill/griddle plate (1) is
positioned onto the base (3). The drip tray (4) should be in the bottom of the base.
• Plugthethermostatpowerlead(5)intotheapplianceinletonthegrillunit.Thisislocated
beneath one of the grill handles (2). The arrow shaped white power on lamp (7) on the unit will
light up.
• Turnthethermostatcontrolwheel(6)onthedesiredheat.Thedesiredheatsettingshouldline
up with the arrow shape power on lamp.

Grilling
• Preheatthegrillasdescribedabove.
• Thecookingplatehasanonstickcoatinghoweveritisalsoadvisabletolightlybrushthegrill
/ griddle plate with butter, margarine or cooking oil to prevent food sticking.
• Ensuretheunitisatthecorrectcookingtemperature.
• Addfoodtothegrill/griddleplate.
• Thecookingtimewillvarydependinguponthefoodtypeandthickness.
• Checkandturnthefoodregularlytoavoidburning.
After use
• Switchoandremovetheplugfromthesocketbeforeleavingtheapplianceunattendedand
before changing, cleaning or inspecting any parts of the appliance.
• Whennotinuse,theapplianceshouldbestoredinadryplace.
Cleaning and maintenance
Warning! Do not immerse the appliance or the lead set or the plug in water or any other liquid.
• Donotwashanypartoftheunitinadishwasher.
• Wipetheexteriorwithadampcloth.
• Donotusescouringpads.
If necessary, use a mild detergent to remove spots. Do not use any abrasive or solvent based
cleaner.
