For your convenience record the complete model number and the date you received the product,

together with your purchase receipt and attach to the warranty and service information. Retain in

the event that warranty service is required.

NOTE: The rating of this product (as marked on the product identication plate) is based on specic

loading tests.

Important safeguards

When using any electrically powered product, basic safety precautions should always be followed,

including the following:

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT.

WARNING: to reduce the risk of re, electrical shock or injury to persons or property.

• Always operate the product from a power source of the same voltage, frequency and rating as

indicated on the product identication plate.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have

been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance. Cleaning and user

maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older tan 8 and supervised.

• Do not operate any product with a damaged cord or plug, or after the product malfunction,

or is dropped or appears damaged in any way. Return the complete product to the place of

purchase for inspection, repair or placement.

• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse or expose the product or exible cord to

rain, moisture or any liquid other than those necessary for correct operation of the product.

• This product should not be used in the immediate vicinity of water, such as bathtub, washbowls

or any other vessel containing water or other liquids, or when standing in/on a damp or wet

surface.

• Switch o and unplug from outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts

and before cleaning. Remove by grasping the plug-do not pull on the cord.

• Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.

• Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.

• Do not operate or place any part of the product on or near any hot surfaces (such as a gas or

electric burner or hotplate or in a heated oven).

• The use of attachments or accessories not recommended or sold by the product distributor

may cause personal or property hazards or injuries.

• Avoid touching hot surfaces, use handles and knobs.

• This product is intended for normal domestic / household use only.

• Do not use the appliance outdoors.

• To avoid a circuit overload when using this product, do not operate another high-wattage

product on the same electrical circuit.

Earthing installation

DANGERS

Electric Shock Hazard

• Touching some of the internal components can cause serious personal injury or death. Do not

disassemble this appliance.

• Improper use of the earthing can result in electric shock. Do not plug into a socket until

appliance is properly installed and earthed.

TWOROUNDPIN PLUG

This appliance must be earthed. In the event of an electrical short circuit, earthing reduces the risk

of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. This appliance is equipped

with a cord having an earthing wire with an earthing plug. The plug must be plugged into a

socket that is properly installed and earthed.

Consult a qualied electrician or serviceman if the earthing instructions are not completely

understood or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly earthed. If it is necessary to

use an extension cord, use only a 3-wire extension cord.

1. If a long cord set or extension cord is used:

a) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as high as

the electrical rating of the appliance.

b) The extension cord must be an earthing type 3-wire cord.

c) The long cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop

where it can be pulled by children or tripped over unintentionally.

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC): the Acme appliance complies with all standards regarding

electromagnetic elds.

• Alwaysuseplastic,rubberorwoodenutensilswhencookingorserving.Ifusingmetalutensils,

be careful not to scrape the non stick nish.

Usage

PREHEATING

• Placetheunitonasuitableatsurface

• Ensurethegrill/griddleplate(1)ispositionedontothebase(3).Thedriptray(4)shouldbein

• Puttheplugintowallsocket.

• Turnthethermostatcontrolwheel(6)onthedesiredheat.Thedesiredheatsettingshouldline

Grilling

• Preheatthegrillasdescribedabove.

• Thecookingplatehasanonstickcoatinghoweveritisalsoadvisabletolightlybrushthegrill

/ griddle plate with butter, margarine or cooking oil to prevent food sticking.

• Ensuretheunitisatthecorrectcookingtemperature.

• Addfoodtothegrill/griddleplate.

• Thecookingtimewillvarydependinguponthefoodtypeandthickness.

• Checkandturnthefoodregularlytoavoidburning.

After use

• Switchoandremovetheplugfromthesocketbeforeleavingtheapplianceunattendedand

before changing, cleaning or inspecting any parts of the appliance.

• Whennotinuse,theapplianceshouldbestoredinadryplace.

Cleaning and maintenance

Warning! Do not immerse the appliance or the lead set or the plug in water or any other liquid.

• Donotwashanypartoftheunitinadishwasher.

• Wipetheexteriorwithadampcloth.

• Donotusescouringpads.

If necessary, use a mild detergent to remove spots. Do not use any abrasive or solvent based

cleaner.
