throughwhichfluidflows,andtheflowoffluidcanbevisuallycheckeddirectly.

Sightglassesaremanufacturedaccordingtocustomerspecification.

1.2Informationregardingtheusermanual

1) The user manual contains important information for proper handling of the device.

Please read this user manual carefully before installation and commissioning.

2) Please adhere to the safety and handling guidelines provided in the user manual. Compliance

must be maintained with the applicable accident prevention and safety regulations, as well as

national installation standards and accepted codes of conduct.

3) Thisusermanualispartoftheproduct,andmustbemadeavailableforviewingbyworkers

nearbytheinstallationlocationatalltimes.

3. Principleanduseoftheproduct

ThesightglassmanufacturedbyWISEControlInc.isaproductthatcanbeinstalledinapipe

throughwhichfluidflows,andtheflowoffluidcanbevisuallycheckeddirectly.

Whenthefluidflowthroughthesightglass,theflowoffluidinthepipecanbeseenthrough

theglassofsightglasscover.

Sightglassaredesignedaccordingtoeachcustomer’sfluid,temperatureandpressure

conditions.



4. Pre-installationinspections

1) Checkforanydamagetotheproductduringtransport.

2) Checkthetagnumberoftheproductandtheinstallationlocation.

3) Theinsideofthepipemustbesmoothandclean,andfreeofanyforeignmatter.

4) Incaseoftheflangetype,checkthesurfaceoftheflangeforanydentingorscretching.

5) Theglassofthesightglasscoveriscomposedoftwosides,pleasecheckthedirectionofthe

coverwheninstalling.

6) Incaseofflappertype(S200,S210),installthespringofflapperhadlocatedtouppersideat

centerofpipe.

(Atthistime,thesightglassneedtoinstalledonahorizontalpipe,andifinstalledona

verticalpipetheproductmaynotoperatenormally.)

7) Incaseofballtype(S300&S310),useitwhenthefluidflowsthroughthefullpipe.

8) Incaseofrotarytype(S500&S510),installtherotaryhadlocatedtouppersideatcenterof

pipe.

9) Checktheflowdirectioninpipeandinstall.

 

5. Maintenanceandrepair

5-1.Basicmatters

1) Theglassandgasketofsightglassareconsumablesandmustbereplacedregualry.

Shouldcheckiftheglassarethinnerperiodically,andmustbereplacetheglassimmediately

whenglassarethinnerordamagedbycorrosion.

(Replaceperiodofconsumablearevariabledependingonoperatingconditions,replacement

mustreplacingevery6monthsisrecommandedatminimum.)

2) Cleancarefullyusingthecleanandsoftclothwhencleaningtheglasssurface.

Glasssurfacearecleanandfreefromscratch.(Iftheglassarescratcheditmaybreakon

operating.)

3) Ifneedtoreplacingconsumablelikeglass,gasketandcleaninginsideofsightglass,

disassembleandreassembleofsightglassinaccordancewith5-2.



5-2.Disassemblyandreassembly

1) Blocktheinflowoffluidinpipewheresightglassinstalledandremovethefluidinthepipe.

2) Removetheboltandnutfromcovertoremovethecover,glassandgasket.

(Whenremovingtheboltandnut,bewaretopreventfallinganddamagetothecoverand

glass.)

3) Checktheglassofsightglassfordamagesuchascrackorcorrosion.

(Iftheglassisnotdamaged,wipecleanandreuse.)

4) Afterreplacingorwashingtheglass,reassemblethesightglasscoverbyfollowingthe

disassemblyinstructionsinreverseorder.

(Whenreassemblethesightglasscover,replacethegasketwithnewgasket.)

5) Whenreassemblingthesightglasscover,assembletheboltandnutinaccordancewith5-3.

 

6. Transport,packagingandstorageoftheproduct

1) Theproductmustnotbeexposedtohumidity,dustorothercontaminants.

2) Theproductmustnotbesubjectedtoimpactduringstorage.

3) Whenreturningtheproductforrepairs,safelypackagetheproductinitsoriginalpackaging,

andreturntherelateddocumentationaswell.

4) Theproductshouldbeprotectedfromexposuretohumidity,dustandothercontaminants

duringtransport.

5) Theproductshouldbepackagedtoprotectagainstimpactduringtransport.

6) Anydamagetotheproductduringtransportshouldberecordedinthedocumentation.

Claimsforcompensationfordelaysininstallationmaybemadeagainstthetransporting

company.

7) Relativehumidityandtemperatureareappliedaccordingtobelowcondition,duringstorage

andtransporting.

 
