Configuration Instruction
The Vista QSW16/24M switches are provided with a default configuration that may be suitable for
the majority of applications. However, should customization be required, the switches dedicated PoE
Managed port can use to access the Web graphic user interface (GUI) to modify or view the status
of the below aspects.
Web System Overview
The Web system provides access to modify or view the below functions.
1) Set global PoE power budget and reserve
2) View the switches total power status
3) Set individual PoE ports for their maximum power and priority
4) View each ports PoE status and draw
5) Set the IP address of the switch
6) Change password
7) Factory default
Please follow the instructions below to configure the switch via the Web system.
Environment Requirements
2.1 Hardware Requirements
A Windows PC\laptop with an Ethernet network card is required. Connect as below.
1) Connect one end of a “straight” CAT5\6 patch lead to the management PCs Ethernet port.
2) Connect the other end to patch lead to the dedicated switch port labelled “PoE Managed”.
3) Ensure both PC and switch are powered up.
2.2 Software Requirements
The PCs recommended browser versions are below.
1) IE10 or higher
2) Chrome
Set Up Network Connection
Before being able to gain access to the Web interface, set-up the management PCs IP address.
1) The switch does not have DHCP, so set the management PC’s IP address statically!
2) Set the PC for the same network as the switches default 192.168.1.200 and 255.255.255.0.
3) Our example setting is 192.168.1.92 and subnet 255.255.255.0
