lensltermaybevulnerabletoscratchingand

dirt.

• The camera is not designed for outside

installation and should not be installed in

locations that are subject to extremes of

humidityortemperature.

• Donotexposethelenstodirectsunlightorany

reectedlightsource.

•    Do not daisy-chain extension cords and/or

multi-socketadapters.

• Donotinstallnearacidicchemicals,ammonia

orsourcesoftoxicgasses.

• Donotunscrewthelenscompletely.

• Mountthecamerausingsuitablescrewsandwallplugsforthetypeofsurface(thescrewsandplugs

suppliedaresuitableforsolidwalls).

• Makesurethecameraisproperlysecuredtopreventitfromfalling.

2 - CONNECTING THE CAMERA

• YoucanusetheWPSbuttononthebackofyourcameratoquicklyconnecttoyourWiFinetwork.Please

refertoyourmodem/router/boxuserguidetondoutwhetheryouhavetheWPSfeatureandifso,how

touseit.

IfyourcameraisnotequippedwiththeWPSfeatureoryoudonotwanttouseit,youwillhavetousea

wiredconnectionforsetup,evenifyousubsequentlyintendtouseaWiFiconnection.

IMPORTANT:Donotconnectyourcameratoyourcomputer.Thiswillnotprovideitwithaccesstothe

internet.

Inmostcases,thecameraisimmediatelydetectedbythemodem/router,whichgrantsitaccesstothe

Internet.Afterafewseconds,thecameramotorsshouldrespondandthenetworkactivityLEDattheback

ofthecamerashouldash.

3 - FOCUSSING THE IMAGE

• Onceyouhavesetupthedevice,youcanadjustthefocusoftheimageifitislackingsharpness.

Gentlyrotatethelenstoadjustthefocus.

When you connect your camera to the ThomView

appforthersttime,youareimmediatelyaskedto

change the user name and password for camera

connection,forincreasedsecurity:

WARNING: if the application asks you to choose

a WiFi network for your camera instead of asking

youtochangetheusernameandpasswordforthe

application,thenyourcamerahasissuesaccessing

theInternet.Waitamomentorchecktheconnection

settings for your camera and your smartphone or

tabletbeforecontinuing.

Once you have modied the user name and

2 - CONFIGURATION USING THOMVIEW

SOFTWARE

TheThomViewsoftwareiscompatiblewithPCand

MacOS and congures and manages one or more

camerasconnected tothesamelocalnetwork.On

another network, it enables remote access to the

cameraimage.

TheThomViewsoftwareisprovidedontheCDthat

comes with the product, and is also available for

downloadonourwebsite:

• Installthenrunthesoftwareonyourcomputer:

TheThomView softwareasksyou for a user name

andpasswordtoconnect:thedefaultusernameis

“admin”andthereisnopassword.

Important note: this user name and password is

notthesameforyourcamera.Theyarespecicto

the ThomView software and prevent shut-down of

thesoftwarebyunauthorisedpersons,forexample.
