SAFETY GUIDE
Please follow all the safety precautions listed
below for safety and to reduce the risk of injury
or electrical shock.
This appliance can be used by children•
aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not
play with the appliance. Cleaning and
user maintenance shall not be made by
children unless they are older than 8 and
supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of•

Do not touch the body of the toaster when•
it is hot.
Disconnect the appliance at the mains•
supply when lling or emptying the toaster,

Do not let the connecting cord overhang the•
edge of the work surface or allow it to touch

Do not attempt to change the appliance•
connecting cord. Refer this to qualied
service personnel as specialist tools are
necessary.
If any part of this appliance is visibly•
damaged or malfunctions in any way, or the
connecting cord or mains plug is broken do
not continue to use it. Take it to a qualied
service centre for service and repair.
Do not use the toaster unless the crumb tray•
is safely in place.
Do not use this appliance for other than the•
intended use.
Bread may burn, therefore toasters must•
not be used near or below curtains and
other combustible materials. They must be
watched.

PRELIMINARIES
Unpack your toaster carefully. Retain the packaging so
that you can transport the appliance safely at a later
date.
Before using your toaster:
Check that the voltage marked on the rating plate under
the toaster and the base matches your mains voltage:

CONNECTING YOUR TOASTER
Place the toaster on a stable, level surface. Make sure the
mains cable does not foul the toaster feet.
USING YOUR TOASTER
Your TESCO toaster can be used to toast a wide variety
of bread. As personal preference plays a great part, we
suggest that you try dierent settings. Try the lower
settings rst, gradually increasing the timer setting until
you nd the right one for your circumstances.
If bread smokes then use a lower setting to stop it
burning.

OPERATING FEATURES
Timer Control: Turn this control clockwise (higher
setting) to increase toasting time and anti-clockwise to
decrease the time (lower setting).
Cancel Button: At any time the toasting cycle can be
stopped by pressing the cancel button.
BASIC OPERATION
Ensure that the mains socket is switched o at the wall
and connect the appliance cord to the wall socket. Now
switch on the power.
Place the bread into the bread wells. Set the timer
control. Press the carriage down gently until it latches.
The toasting cycle will commence. If the mains power
to the appliance is o, the carriage lever will not stay
down.
When the bread has toasted, the carriage will ‘pop up’
and the toaster will switch o. The toast can now be
safely removed from the toaster.
A small spark may be visible when the toaster switches
o.This is normal as the switch disconnects.
At any time the toasting cycle can be stopped by pressing
the CANCEL button.The toast will pop up and the toaster
will switch o.
Note: If you interrupt the toasting cycle, always use
the CANCEL button. Do NOT force the carriage lever
up or you may damage the appliance.
Never attempt to remove bread while it is toasting.
Press CANCEL rst.

CRUMB REMOVAL
Yourtoasterfeaturesacrumbtray.Thisshouldbeemptied
at least once a week to minimise the build up of toast
crumbs and other debris.
To remove the crumb tray: Switch the toaster o at the
mains supply and allow it to cool. The crumb tray is
located at the left side of the toaster. Grip the handle and
slide out the crumb tray. After emptying, replace the tray
before using the toaster.
Toasting Tips
Dry, thin slices will toast quicker than moist, thick•
slices.
If the toast starts to smoke, press the CANCEL button•
immediately.
Never put wrapped, buttered, or items with sugar•
icing into the toaster.
Note: The maximum thickness that your toaster will
accommodate safely in each well is around 2cm, so bear
this in mind if you use unsliced bread. Large rolls, etc.
should not be inserted into the toaster unless they are
sliced rst. If you force bread that is too thick into the
toaster, the carriage release may be obstructed causing
a re risk.
Never remove bread which has jammed in the toasting
wells without rst unplugging the toaster from the
mains supply and allowing it to cool. When removing
bread or toast from the toaster be careful not to damage
the carriage mechanism or the heating elements.
Allow the toaster 15-20 seconds to cool down between
toasting operations.
CLEANING THE TOASTER
Unplug the toaster from the mains socket. If the toaster
is hot allow it to cool fully. Wipe the outside with a soft
cloth. If necessary, the body of the toaster may be wiped
clean with a slightly damp (not wet) cloth.
Do not immerse any part of this appliance in water or
other liquid when cleaning and never use any abrasive
cleaners or scourers.
STORAGE
When not in use ensure that the appliance is switched
o at the mains.

Ustawić toster na stabilnej, równej powierzchni. Upewnić

KORZYSTANIE Z TOSTERA
Toster TESCO nadaje się do opiekania szerokiej gamy
pieczywa. Z uwagi na to, że preferencje osobiste
odgrywają dużą rolę, zalecamy wypróbowanie różnych
ustawień. Należy najpierw wypróbować niższe
ustawienia, stopniowo wydłużając czas opiekania aż do
uzyskania pożądanych rezultatów.
Jeżeli pieczywo dymi, należy wybrać niższe ustawienie,
aby zapobiec jego przypaleniu.

FUNKCJE URZĄDZENIA
Pokrętło timera wyłącznika czasowego: Obrócić
pokrętłowkierunkuzgodnymzruchemwskazówekzegara
w celu wydłużenia czasu opiekania (wyższe ustawienie)
lub w kierunku przeciwnym do ruchu wskazówek zegara
w celu jego skrócenia (niższe ustawienie).
Przycisk anulowania: Cykl opiekania można w
dowolnym momencie przerwać, naciskając w tym celu
przycisk cancel (anuluj).
PODSTAWOWA OBSŁUGA
Upewnić się, że gniazdko zasilania jest wyłączone przy
ścianie i włożyć do niego wtyczkę przewodu zasilającego
urządzenia.Teraz można włączyć zasilanie.
Włożyć chleb do szczelin. Ustawić pokrętło wyłącznika
czasowego. Nacisnąć delikatnie dźwignię windy, aż
do jej zatrzaśnięcia. Cykl opiekania rozpocznie się. Gdy
zasilanie urządzenia jest wyłączone, dźwignie wind nie
będą pozostawać w pozycji dolnej.
Po opieczeniu chleba mechanizm windy “wyskoczy”, a
toster się wyłączy. Teraz można bezpiecznie wyjąć tost z
tostera.

Cykl opiekania można w dowolnym momencie przerwać,
