IMPORTANT, RETAIN FOR FUTURE REFERENCE:

READ CAREFULLY.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

ATTENTION! Check all parts for completeness, before beginning assembly.

ATTENTION! To avoid accidents or injuries from sharp edges assemble and use with caution. For assembly you need a Phillips screwdriver and different

screw wrenches. 2 persons are needed to assemble the product.

CONSIDER BEFORE USE

Do not move while the appliance is hot.

Due to safety reasons do not use this appliance with liquid fuels

Recommend to use charcoal (or charcoal briquette, wood etc.) with max. amount 5.0 kg. Do not use coal with this product!

The barbecue has to be installed on a secure level base prior to use;

We strongly recommend that the barbecue shall be heated up and the fuel kept red hot for at least 30 min prior to the first cooking;

IMPORTANT: When opening the lid at high temperatures it is essential to lift the lid only slightly, allowing air to enter slowly and safely, preventing any

backdraft or flare-ups that may cause injury/burns.

NOTES FOR USE

1. Distribute the solid firelighters in the centre of the fire box.

2. Stack up the charcoal in a pyramid above the firelighters.

3. Light the solid firelighters with a match.

4. Grease the grill with some vegetable oil and start grilling.

5. Only place food on the grill after the fuel is covered with an ash layer.

6. Control the amount of air supplied from the bottom to the fuel using the ventilation slider. (Only applicable for appliance with ventilation slider)

7. Do not use the appliance near flammable objects (keep at a safe distance, at least 3 meters).

8. Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.

• Scratches, dents, chips, crazing, fading, and minor cosmetic cracks of the exterior glaze that do not affect the performance of the ceramic BBQ.

• Upon close inspection, the finish of your ceramic BBQ may appear to have crack lines. This is NO cracking of the ceramic. This is known as “crazing”

and is caused by a different coefficient of expansion between the glaze finish and the clay. The spider-web pattern of “crazing” is different from a crack

in the aspect that it cannot be felt on the surface, unless using a fingernail; however it does become more visually apparent when the surface is dusty

or magnified. While this “crazing” may appear as imperfections, crazing does not affect the performance of life span of your ceramic BBQ; therefore

it can’t be claimed as a warranty issue. The process of crazing effectively increases the toughness of the unit.

Do not cook before the fuel has a coating of ash.

WARNING! This barbecue will become very hot, do not move it during operation.

Do not use indoors!

WARNING! Do not use spirit or petrol for lighting or relighting!

Use only firelighters complying to EN 1860-3!

WARNING! Keep children and pets away.

WARNING: Danger of carbon monoxide poisoning. Do not use the barbecue indoors, only operate outdoors!

Do not use the barbecue in a confined and/or habitable space e.g. houses, tents, caravans, motor homes, boats. Danger of carbon monoxide

poisoning fatality.

WARNINGS

ATTENTION! Always wear gloves when adjusting the grill, the handles of the grill can become very hot during the grilling process.

IMPORTANT! Do not pour water into the appliance while it is still hot.

IMPORTANT! Close the ventilation slider to extinguish the appliance. (Only applicable for appliance with ventilation slider)

COOKING

• Always wash your hands before and after handling uncooked meat and before eating.

• Always keep raw meat away from cooked meat and other foods.

• Before cooking ensure grill surfaces and tools are clean and free of old food residues.

• DO NOT use the same utensils to handle cooked and uncooked foods.

• Ensure all meat is cooked thoroughly before eating.

• CAUTION: eating raw or under cooked meat can cause food poisoning (e.g. bacteria strains such as E.coli).

• To reduce the risk of under cooked meat cut open to ensure it is cooked all the way through.

• CAUTION: if the meat has been cooked sufficiently, its juices should be clear and there should be no traces of pink/red juice or meat colouring.

• Pre-cooking larger pieces of meat and joints is recommended before finally cooking on the grill.

• After cooking on your grill always clean the cooking surfaces and utensils.

REFUELLING

• With the vents closed, the grill stays at a high temperature for several hours. If you require a longer cooking time (e.g when roasting a whole joint or

slow smoking), it may be necessary to add more charcoal.

• Add additional charcoal and continue as above.

MAINTENANCE & STORAGE

• The grill is self cleaning. Heat it up to 260ºC for 30 minutes and it will scorch all of the food and residues.

• DO NOT use water or any other types of cleaning product to clean the inside of your grill. The walls are porous and will absorb any fluids used, this

could cause the grill to crack. If the soot becomes excessive then use a wire brush or the ash tool (not supplied) to scrape off the carbon remnants

before the next use.

• To clean the grills and grates use a non-abrasive cleaner once the unit has fully cooled.

• To clean the outer surface wait until the grill is cool and use a damp cloth with a mild detergent.

• If the appliance is damaged, please arrange for a qualified technician to repair the product.

• Store the appliance in a dry and clean area.

• If parts are broken or destroyed, stop using the product and consult the manufacturer or supplier.

• Tighten the all connections and oil the hinges twice a year or more if needed.

WICHTIG: SORGFÄLTIG LESEN UND FÜR SPÄTEREN

GEBRAUCH AUFBEWAHREN!

WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

ACHTUNG!

Verwenden Sie keine Steinkohle in diesem Produkt!
