Lock slot adapter:
To install:
1. Pull out the lock shackle (as illustrated below). The lock hook is now at the
“UNLOCK” position.

2. Holding the adapter on the lock housing, insert the lock hook into the lock slot of
your notebook computer.
3. Push down the lock shackle
4. The adapter is now securely installed
To uninstall :
Pull out the lock shackle and remove the adapter from the lock slot.
To Secure Your Notebook Computer:
Allow the cable head to go through the hole of the lock slot adapter and then anchor
the retractable cable lock to an irremovable object (see Example 1).
You can now use your Retractable Cable Travel Lock to securely lock your
notebook computer by scrambling the combinations.

To Unlock
1. Turn the dials to the unlock combination
2. Press the release button to unfasten the cable-head
3. Push the cable trigger to retract the cable
Caution: The cable return mechanism is spring-loaded. Gently hold the cable
head while pulling / retracting the cable to avoid potential injury.
To Set / Rest Your Combination
Step 1
1. Make sure that the cable is completely retracted
2. Press and hold the cable trigger
3. Push the cable head down until you hear a “click”
4. Release the cable trigger
Note: Always set the dials to the UNLOCK combination before attempting
the following operations. The default UNLOCK combination is “000”.
To Lock
Step1
To adjust cable length:
1. Press the cable trigger
2. Pull/ retract the cable to a desired length
3. Push the cable trigger to retract the cable
Step2
Insert the cable head into the locking port and press down untill your hear a “Click”.
The scramble the combination dials to lock.

1. Press and hold the cable trigger
2. Gently pull the cable head until you hear a “click”
3. Your personal combination is now set!

recording the combination, read from left to right using the number closest to the
locking button as the starting point.
Targus assumes no responsibility for lost, misplaced or forgotten combinations.

Deinstallieren:
Die Seilöse herausziehen und den Adapter vom Lock-Slot entfernen.
Für die Sicherheit Ihres Notebooks
Den Kabelkopf durch das Loch des Lock-Slot-Adapters ziehen und dann das
einziehbare Kabelschloss an einen nicht beweglichen Gegenstand (Siehe
Beispiel 1) befestigen.
Nun ist Ihr einziehbares Reise-Kabeschloss einsatzbereit, um Ihr Notebook sicher
zu schützen, indem die Kombinationszahlen verstellt werden.
Hinweis:Stellen Sie stets die UNLOCK Zahlenkombination ein, bevor Sie
folgende Handlungen vornehmen. Die standardmäßige UNLOCK
Kombination ist “000”.

Schritt 1
Bestimmen der Kabellänge
1. Kabel-Knopf drücken
2. Kabel bis zur gewünschte Länge ziehen.
3. Kabel-Trigger loslassen, um die Kabellänge zu xieren.
Schritt 2
Kabelkopf an den Locking-Port anschliessen und nach unten drücken, bis es “Klick”
macht. Anschliessend die Kombination zum Absperren einstellen.

Aufschliessen
1. Die Kombination zum Aufschliessen einstellen.
2. Auslöser drücken, um den Kabelkopf abzulösen.
3. Kabel-Knopf schieben, um das Kabel aufzuwickeln.
Vorsicht: Der Kabelaufwicklung-Mechanismus ist federbelastet. Halten Sie
den Kabelkopf vorsichtig während Sie das Kabel heraus- bzw. aufziehen,
um eventuelle Schäden zu vermeiden.
Ein-/Zurückstellen der Kombination
Schritt 1
1. Überprüfen Sie, ob das Kabel vollständig aufgezogen wurde.
2. Kabel-Knopf gedrückt halten.
3. Kabelkopf nach unten schieben, bis es “Klick” macht.
4. Kabel-Trigger loslassen.
Schritt 2
Kombinationszahlen drehen, um die persönliche Kombination einzustellen.
Schritt 3
1. Kabel-Knopf gedrückt halten
2. Kabelkopf vorsichtig schieben, bis es “Klick” macht.
3. Ihre persönliche Kombination ist nun eingestellt.
Bewahren Sie Ihre Kombination an einer sicheren und zugänglichen Stelle für
künftige Referenz auf.
