Important information

Congratulations on your new radio.

Please read this manual carefully to avoid malfunction and damage to the radio and to

ensure that the radio will be a source of great pleasure to you for a very long time.

1. Do not expose the radio to direct sunlight, high humidity, dirt, heavy vibration or

extreme temperatures.

2. Place the unit on a solid and plane surface.

3. Make sure that there is sufficient ventilation around the radio. Do not place the unit on

a soft surface such as a carpet. Make sure that there is sufficient of clearance behind

the unit.

4. Do not open the cabinet. Only qualified technicians are allowed attend the internal

parts.

5. Make sure that liquid and foreign matter cannot enter the unit.

6. If service or repair is required, this must be carried out by qualified technicians.

7. Unplug the unit in the following cases:

A. The mains plug or the mains cable is defective.

B. Foreign matter or liquid has entered the radio.

C. The unit cannot be operated properly.

D. The unit has fallen down or the cabinet has been damaged.

8. Store this instruction manual carefully for future reference.

9. Use a duster or a slightly damp, soft and non-fluffy rag to clean the radio.

10. Do not use corrosive or strong cleaning agents. Make sure that no moisture enters the

radio during cleaning. Unplug the unit before cleaning.

11. Check that the mains voltage indicated on the back of the radio corresponds to the

mains voltage that the unit is connected to.

12. Unplug the unit if the radio is not to be used for a long time.

Top panel

1. ON/OFF: This knob turns the radio on/off and selects FM; AM or AUX.

2. TUNING: Turn the tuning knob to the right or to the left to tune in on a radio

station.

3. VOLUME: Turn the volume knob to the right to increase the volume, or to the left

to decrease the volume.

Rear panel

1. BATTERY COMPARTMENT: Loosen the screw on the right hand side of the

battery lit using a screwdriver. Install 4pcs of AA sized batteries in the

compartment.

Note: Remember to install the batteries correctly in the compartment. The

negative end (-) of the battery, must be placed with the end of the battery

compartment with a spring. The positive end (+) of the battery must be placed with

the end of the battery compartment without a spring.

2. AUX IN: Connect a stereo or mono audio source (e.g. a portable music player) to

this stereo input.

3. EXTERNAL ANTENNA: The radio comes with an F-connector cord antenna. To

achieve good reception, it might be required to try out different antenna positions.

The user may also use the household socket antenna connection if present.

4. 6VDC: Use this input to connect the AC adaptor.

Important notes on battery use

-It normally takes at least 5 complete charge/recharge cycles before new rechargeable

batteries are optimized for use, and the maximum playback time can be reached.

-Make sure to always fully use the batteries power before charging the batteries. This

will lengthen the life time of your rechargeable batteries.

-Remove all the batteries from the radio if is not used for an extended period of time.

-Always change the batteries when the radio is OFF.

-Dispose of spent batteries according to your country’s regulations.

-Do NOT mix battery types or different battery strengths.

-The playback time can vary depending on the volume level, and battery type.

-Do not burn the batteries. It will cause serious damage to the environment.

-Do not attempt to disassemble the batteries.

-If your rechargeable battery playback time decreases substantially, it is time to replace

the batteries.

Informations importantes

Félicitations pour votre nouvelle radio.

Veuillez lire attentivement ce manuel afin d'éviter un dysfonctionnement, éviter

d‘endommager la radio et pour vous assurer que la radio soit pour vous une source de

divertissement pendant longtemps.

1. N'exposez pas la radio à la lumière directe du soleil, à une humidité importante, à la

saleté, à des vibrations importantes ou à des températures extrêmes.

2. Posez l'appareil sur une surface solide et plane.

3. Assurez-vous que la zone autour de la radio est suffisamment ventilée. Ne posez pas

l'appareil sur une surface molle comme un tapis. Assurez-vous qu'il y a suffisamment

d'espace derrière l'appareil.

4. N'ouvrez pas le boitier de l'appareil. L'accès aux pièces à l'intérieur de l'appareil est

réservé aux techniciens qualifiés.

5. Assurez-vous qu'aucun liquide ou corp étranger ne peut pénétrer dans l'appareil.

6. Si un entretien ou une réparation est nécessaire, cela doit être effectué par des

techniciens qualifiés.

7. Débranchez l'appareil dans les cas suivants :

A. La prise ou le câble d'alimentation est défectueux.

B. Un corps étranger ou un liquide est entré dans la radio.

C. L'appareil ne fonctionne pas correctement.

D. L'appareil est tombé ou son boitier a été endommagé.

8. Conservez ce manuel d'instructions pour le consulter ultérieurement.

9. Utilisez un plumeau ou un chiffon doux et non pelucheux légèrement humide pour

nettoyer la radio.

1. N'utilisez pas de produits corrosifs ou d'agents nettoyants forts. Assurez-vous que

l'humidité ne rentre pas dans la radio pendant le nettoyage. Débranchez l'appareil

avant de le nettoyer.

11. Vérifiez que la tension d'alimentation indiquée sur l'arrière de la radio correspond à la

tension du secteur à laquelle l'appareil est connecté.

12. Débranchez l'appareil si vous n'utilisez pas celui-ci pendant une longue durée.

Vue du dessus

1. ON/OFF : Ce bouton active/désactive la radio et sélectionne FM, AM ou AUX.

Vue arrière

1. COMPARTIMENT DES PILES : Desserrez la vis à droite de la pile allumée avec

un tournevis. Installez 4 piles de type AA dans le compartiment.

Remarque : Pensez à respecter les polarités des piles. La borne négative (-) de la

pile doit être placée en face du ressort dans le compartiment. La borne positive

(+) de la pile doit être placée à l'opposé du ressort dans le compartiment.

2. AUX IN : Pour brancher une source audio stéréo ou mono (par ex. : un baladeur)

sur cette entrée stéréo.

3. ANTENNA EXTERNE : La radio est accompagnée d'une antenne à cordon à

connecteur de type F. Afin d'améliorer la réception, il sera peut-être nécessaire

d'essayer plusieurs positions d'antenne. L'utilisateur peut également utiliser la

prise d'antenne hertzienne, le cas échéant.

4. 6 VCC : Utilisez cette entrée pour brancher l'adaptateur CA.
