#1 Transport Mode. #2 Stand grill on end and remove pins both sides from the legs with wheels. #3 While stabilizing
grill raise the wheeled legs up and pin at a right angle to grill. Pin both sides. #4 While stabilizing grill shorten wheeled
legs by unpinning, sliding in and repining. Lower the grill down on its wheels. For first time setup the wheel section of
the legs will need to be inserted into main legs at this time.
#1 #2 #3 #4
#5, 6 & 7 Caution: requires vertical lift of 50 Lbs. To reduce weight, remove contents first. Unpin legs on the non-
wheeled end, swing legs clear around to right angle of grill while raising lowered end up. Pin into place. Remove the
contents of the unit and set aside. Determine size of cooking Mode you will be using. 3-foot or 5-foot. Transport mode
is the same as 3-foot. If 5-foot remove long pins (#7) and expand body to next set of holes. Insert pin. Never cook

Install leg braces.
(#8) Locate the two holes in center of main body just below top flange.
(#9) Insert off set end of brace and twist into angle portion of brace.
(#10) Rotate brace over to leg and insert through leg. Secure with pin clip into the groove as shown in #11. Install all
four braces. Failure to install and pin leg braces properly could cause leg to fold, spilling hot coals and causing serious
burns and injuries.
#8 #9 #10 #11
#12 Unfold the Cooking Grate on the extended Main Frame or another flat surface (square tubes facing up). Set aside all
items except the grill grate and stiffeners shown in #13
Install the three (3) Rotate and Lock stiffeners to the bottom side of cooking grate by slipping the J tabs between the
cross bars and under the 3/8" frame. Rotate the tabs around the frame and slide over so the J tabs locks in place -see
pictures #13A, #13B, #13C & #13D.
Center Stiffener: Place 1/2 of the stiffener on the small grill section. Orient the stiffener so that it is evenly covering the
seam in the grill grate as seen in photo #13A. Set grate aside.
**NOTE** The stiffener with all the J tabs goes on the center cross bar of the grate. Two (2) of the stiffeners have the
center J tabs removed to accommodate the square tubing. These 2 stiffeners will be placed on the two cross bars
located on either side of the center cross bar see photo #13A.

cooking area and the bend with the 2 holes facing out towards you. Align the 2 holes and insert the long carriage bolts

Helpful Hints
*Always set your grill up as to these instructions. All pins and clips in place. Do not use broken or bent parts.
*Inspect your grill thoroughly before using. Close attention to legs and leg support system.
*Clean your grill out thoroughly. Ash from charcoal sets up hard and will make collapsing and expanding difficult. A Car
Wash works great for cleaning out the grill.
*Always use the ash pans. You will save on charcoal and get less warping and discoloration and extend the life on the
grill.
*Life of the ash pans are estimated to be up 3 years with moderate to heavy use. They are not stainless so keeping
them oiled with a heavy cooking oil or lard when not in use will prolong their life. You can get replacements through
your local dealer.
*If you have and questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at Rocky Mountain Cookware.
