AF201FG.
AF201FG allows easy daylight sync
photography with P-TTL auto in combination
with a digital single-lens reflex camera or
lens-interchangeable single lens digital
camera.
Please read this operating manual before
using this flash unit.
Introduction
このたびは、オートフラッシュ AF201FGを
お買い上げいただき、誠にありがとうござい
ます。
AF201FGは、デジタル一眼レフやデジタル
一眼と組み合わせてP-TTL オートで日中シ
ンクロ撮影などが簡単にお楽しみいただけ
ます。
ご使用前に、この使用説明書をよくお読みの
うえ正しくお使いください。

WARNING
The flash contains electronic circuits
that operate at high voltages. Do not
attempt to disassemble the flash unit
yourself, as there is danger of an
electric shock.
If internal parts of the flash unit
become exposed due to impact, etc.,
do not touch them as there is danger
of an electric shock.
Do not expose the flash unit to water
or moisture as there is danger of an
electric shock.

CAUTION
Do not use the flash near a person’s
eyes, as it may hurt them. Be
particularly careful when using the
flash around infants.
The following may lead to an
explosion or fire.
●Shorting the batteries
●Exposing the batteries to flames
●Dismantling the batteries
●Remove the sticker covering the
battery.
●Attempting to recharge non-
rechargeable batteries
Remove the batteries from the
camera immediately if they become
hot or begin to smoke. Be careful not
to burn yourself during removal.

目の近くでフラッシュを発光させな
いでください。目を痛めることがあ
ります。特に、乳幼児にはご注意く
ださい。
電池が破裂・発火する恐れがありま
すので、以下の行為はしないでくだ

●電池をショートさせる
●電池を火の中に入れる
●電池を分解する
●電池の外装シールを剥がす
●充電式ではない電池を充電する
フラッシュ内の電池が発熱・発煙を
起こしたときは、速やかに電池を取
り出してください。この場合、やけ
どに十分ご注意ください。

Precautions for Your Flash Unit
●Never use organic solvents such as
paint thinner, alcohol or benzine to clean
the flash unit.
●Avoid leaving the flash unit for extended
period in places where the humidity and
temperature are very high such as in a
car.
●Be careful not to subject the flash unit to
strong vibrations, shock or pressure.
Use a cushion to protect the flash unit
when carrying it in a motorcycle, car,
boat, etc.
●The flash unit is designed to be dust-
and moisture-resistant. However, do not
use the flash unit where it may be
directly exposed to rain, water, etc.
取り扱い上の注意
●汚れ落としに、シンナーやアルコール・
ベンジンなどの有機溶剤は使用しない
でください。
●高温多湿の所は避けてください。特に車
の中は高温になりますのでご注意くだ
さい。
●強い振動・ショック・圧力などを加えな
いでください。オートバイ・車・船など
の振動は、クッションなどを入れて保護
してください。
●防塵・防滴機能に配慮した構造になって
いますが、雨水などが直接かかるところ
では使用できません。

●When using the flash unit off the
camera, do not try to attach any metallic
object to the electric contacts.
Otherwise, the P-TTL auto mechanism
may be damaged or rendered
inoperable.
●Periodic checks are recommended
every 1 to 2 years in order to maintain
high performance. If the unit has not
been used for an extended period of
time, or is being readied for an
important shoot, it is recommended that
you take a test flash with the test button
and test shoot with it. Test flash is also
important to maintain optimum
performance.
●Avoid contact with garbage, dirt, sand,
dust, water, toxic gases, salt, etc. When
the flash unit is subjected to rain or
moisture, wipe it off with a dry cloth.
●When photographing black or white
subjects, use exposure compensation.
●フラッシュをカメラから離して使う場
合、信号接点に金属が触れないようにし
てください。P-TTLオートが正しく働か
なくなります。
●高性能を保つため、1～2年毎に定期点検
をしてください。長期間使用しなかった
ときや、大切な撮影の前には点検やテス
ト発光をしてください。
●ゴミや泥・砂・ホコリ・水・有害ガス・
塩分などがフラッシュの中に入らない
ようにご注意ください。故障の原因にな
ります。雨や水滴などが付いたときは、
よく拭いて乾かしてください。
●黒い被写体や白い被写体などでは、光量
補正などを利用して、撮影してくださ
い。

●The flash head may become hot when
discharges many times in succession,
resulting in damage or malfunction.
●Do not attach any accessories such as
the hot shoe grip which have the
different number of electrical contacts.
Some parts may be damaged or
rendered inoperable.
●The hot shoe of the camera
incorporates flash signal contacts. Dirt,
dust, or corrosion on the contacts may
cause a malfunction.
●We will not be held responsible for any
accidents or damage, etc. caused due
to the use of this product with cameras
and accessories made by the other
companies.
●過度な連続発光は発光部が熱くなり、劣
化、故障の原因になります。
●接点数の異なるアクセサリー（ホット
シューグリップなど）を接続しないでく
ださい。一部の機能が正しく働かなくな
ることがあります。
●カメラのホットシュー部にはフラッ
シュと通信をする接点があります。この
部分にゴミや汚れが付いたり、腐食が生
じると動作不良の原因になりますので、
ご注意ください。
●他社製カメラ・アクセサリーを本製品に
使用されたことによる事故、故障などに
つきましては保証いたしかねます。

■Cautions Regarding Batteries
●This flash unit uses two AAA alkaline or
nickel-metal hydride batteries. Do not
use any other types of batteries. The
flash unit may not be able to operate
correctly or demonstrate sufficient
performance, or the flash unit itself may
generate heat, depending on the type of
batteries used.
●AAA alkaline battery itself is not
rechargeable. Also, do not dismantle
the batteries. Trying to recharge or
dismantle the batteries may cause an
explosion or leakage.
■電池の取り扱いについてのご注意
●このフラッシュは、単4形アルカリ電池、
単4形ニッケル水素電池のいずれか2本
を使用します。これら以外の電池は使用
しないでください。電池の種類によって
は、フラッシュが正常に動作しない、ま
たは十分な性能が発揮できない場合が
あるほか、フラッシュ本体が発熱するこ
とがあります。
●単4形アルカリ電池は、電池自体を充電
することはできません。また電池は分解
しないでください。無理に充電や分解を
すると、破裂や液漏れの原因となりま
す。
