General Safety
Instructions
Prowinch®’s winches are designed for delivering a safe and
trustable service if they are operated according to this manual.
This manual contains important information to help you
properly install, operate and maintain your hoist for maximum
performance, economy and safety.
Please study its contents thoroughly before putting your hoist
intooperation.Bypracticingcorrect operatingproceduresand
by carrying out the recommended preventive maintenance
suggestions, you will experience long, dependable and safe
service. After you have completely familiarized yourself with
the contents of this manual, we recommend that you carefully
le it for future reference.
Aplications for PWUT Prowinch® winches
Your winch can generate great force and if used unsafely or
incorrectly can hurt, can cause injury or death. This manual
includes the following symbols for caution , warning and
danger. Please observe the following notes symbols are
written for your safety. The safe operation of this device
depends on you , the operator.

General Safety
Instructions
2.1. Handling Precautions:
- Keep the winch in best conditions. Failure to adequately
align, support, or attach winch to a suitable mounting
base could result in a loss of efciency or premature failure
of winch, wire rope, or mounting base.
- Do not use any chain or cable that was not designed for
the unit you are using.
- To avoid an electrical discharge, make sure that your
equipment is adequately grounded, by certied personnel.
- Make sure the winch works properly without load , before
applying loads.
- Do not lift weight with the edge of the hook.
- Do not perform lifting with more than one winch at once.
- Never exceed the maximum weight lifting capacity.
- Disconnect the equipment from the power supply in order
to avoid any involuntary use.
- Do not use pulleys or accessories that are not approved
for this winch.
2.2. Wear appropriate protective clothing:
- Do not use loose clothing or any jewellery when operating
this equipment.
- You must wear protective leather gloves when handling
the winch rope.
- You must wear non-slippery safety footware,safety helmet.
- Long hair must be tied back to operate this equipment.
- You must wear appropiate safety glasses to operate this
equipment.
2.3. Keep a safe distance:
- Always stand clear, keep hands clear, keep others away at
least 1.5 times the lenght of the wich rope. Wire rope can
break without warning.
- Never touch the rope or hook while they are in tension
or under load. Even at rest, the winch may have the rope
in tension. Never guide a rope under tension onto the
drum with your hands.
2.4. Power cord misuse:
- Do not lift the winch or any equipment from the power cord.
- Never route electrical cables across sharp edges.
- Never route electrical cables near parts that get hot.
- Never route electrical cables through or near moving parts.
- Never route electrical cables over battery terminals.
- Always insulate and protect all exposed wiring and
electrical terminals.
2.5. Do not overwork the equipment:
- If the motor overheads, stop any operations let the winch
cold, check for any damage before restart operation.
- If the winch stops during it’s operation, stop and check for
any damage before restart operation.
- Do not exceed maximum rated capacity.
2.6. Check for damaged parts:
- Before using this equipment, check for any visual damage
in the motor or wire rope.
2.7. Winch repair:
- In order to repair a Prowinch® winch, use only original
Prowinch® parts. Using unauthorized parts will void
warranty.
2.8. Winding the winch cable:
- You must wear leather gloves to handling the winch rope.
To proceed properly you need to apply and maintain a
small load on the rope. While the operator winds the rope
someone else should lead to correct location. Start as far
as possible keeping it centered.
- Do not let the winch rope falls off and always keep a safe
distance from the winch.
- Repeat this process until one (1) meter of cable was been
left unwind.
- Disconnect the remote or/and from the power source.
- The last ve wraps of wire rope must be left on the drum
to assist the wire rope clamp in holding the load.

2. This winch is designed to pull , not to get up!
3. Never put your hand or anything else near the gear, drum or
wire is wound. Always wear gloves when operating the winch.
4. Never try to repair or disassemble the winch in case of pro-
blems . Get help from a qualied operator or a specialist .
5. When replacing the cable , make sure the end of the cable
passes through the 4 holes on the side of the drum and tie a
stopper or a cap at the end of the cable to prevent this from
coming out.
6. Use grease the shaft and the gear before storing for prolon-
ged periods.
7. Check daily status piola steel hook state .
8. Check status fat.

CAUTION

CAUTION
The customer assumes responsibility to install your unit by qualied and meet
the standards required in this manual people. A poor installation can cause
serious accidents to users and close to the place of operation of the unit people.
Poor or improper installation the warranty will expire immediately the unit, as
in the case of making an electrical connection that does not meet the specica-
tions described in the User Manual and Safety Precautions in each unit or the
general rules for consumption.

1. Ratchet Switch - This switch has 3 positions. The highest
position is to pull. The lowest position is to release. The midd-
le position is for both pull and release, but can only be used
when you are no load. When the winch is loaded, hold the
handle rmly if you want to change the switch position.
2. Before use, install the winch on a rm, at surface. To install,
turn the ratchet switch in the middle position and pull the
cable out until the nal hole of the base are visible. Then use
at least 3 sets of bolts and nuts 3/8 “in a triangular pattern to
secure the base to the surface. If necessary, use an extra sheet
of metal or hardwood.
3. Then install the crank shaft with screw and nut.
4. Place the ratchet switch in the highest position and turn
the crank clockwise to pull a watch. Put the switch pawl in the
lower position and turn the crank in the opposite direction to
a clockwise to loosen.

PROWINCH products are warranted to the original purchaser
for a period of three (3) years after the date of purchase only
to be free from defects in material and workmanship when
subjected to normal, proper and intended use. Within this
period, PROWINCH will only repair or replace free of charge
any part on a product, after examination, is determined by
PROWINCH to be defective in material or workmanship and
wasnot caused or substantially contributedto byother factors
or circumstances beyond PROWINCH control, including (but
not limited to) defective installation, maintenance or repair,
product modication or alteration, any neglect misuse or
excessive use, mishandling, product exposure to extreme
or unsuitable conditions, normal wear and tear or failure to
follow manufacturer’s instructions. This warranty does not
apply to damage that PROWINCH determines to be from
repairs made or attempted by anyone other than PROWINCH
authorized personnel.
Return of the product with a copy of proof of purchase
to PROWINCH, freight prepaid and insured, are required
for this warranty to be effective. If more than one year has
elapsed from purchase date, proof of periodic and regular
maintenance by an authorized service must also be provided
for this warranty to be effective. PROWINCH does not cover
freight or labor charges associated with the inspection and
testing of products which are found by PROWINCH not to be
a valid warranty claim.
DISCLAIMER
In no event shall PROWINCH be liable for any labor, removal
and installation expenses, loss of time, manufacturing costs,
transportation, materials, loss of prots, incidental, special,
consequential or punitive damages, or for any costs, attorney
fees, expenses, losses or delays, direct or indirect, alleged to
be as a consequence of any damage to, failure of, or defect
in any product including, but not limited to, any claims for
loss of prots. PROWINCH disclaims any implied warranties,
including without limitation, any implied warranty of
merchantability or tness for a particular use or purpose.
Acceptance of the exclusive repair and replacement remedies
described herein is a condition of the contract for the
purchase of every PROWINCH product. If you do not agree to
this condition, you should not purchase the product.
