ADJUSTMENT OF THE HEIGHT OF THE GEAR MOTOR ABOVE DECK
1. T e NDE / NDH motorized PROFURL systems allow you to c oose t e eig t of t e gear motor above
deck. T e maximum allowed dimensions of t e lower terminal may also determine t e minimum eig t
of t e gear motor above deck. Please refer to eadboard 1 for dimensions.
2. Measure t e forestay terminal as per eadboard 1 to c eck w et er adjustment is possible, and until
w ic amount. Please refer to drawing for minimum allowed lengt (L) of t e tube.
3. Fitting t e gear motor low to deck is ac ieved by s ortening t e stainless steel tube (45) located
between t e gear motor (28 or 29) and t e toggle (47).
THE TUBE SHOULD BE SHORTENED ONLY AT ITS LOWER END.
It is preferable t e tube is s ortened by mac ining in a lat e.
4. Having s ortened t e tube drill :
ON MODELS 42 ON MODELS 52
a 13 mm (33/64” ) ole on one side, a 16 mm (5/8” ) ole on one side,
a 15 mm (19/32” ) on t e opposite side a 19 mm (3/4” ) on t e opposite side
at t e same distance - 20 mm (51/64” ) - from t e bottom edge as t e original oles.
5. If t e tube as been s ortened it is strongly recommended t at it is electro and and polis ed.
T is will reduce discoloration and corrosion of t e tube.
T e gear motor s ould be temporarily fitted at t e bottom end of t e stay. T is will allow you to :
• c eck t at dimensions of t e different components (stay, toggle, c ainplate, turnbuckle, clevis pins, etc…)
matc toget er
• c eck t at raising or lowering t e anc or will not damage t e system.
• accurately calculate t e lengt of extrusions (please refer to page 9).
