CAMERA CONFIGURATION
1. Camera startup
Turn on the camera by changing the ON/SETUP/OFF switch to the ON position.
Under this mode, the camera enters motion detection/monitoring mode. The screen
will not light up. If the camera’s default settings meet your needs, then you can
mount the camera directly to the intended location.
2. Configure camera settings
Move the ON/SETUP/OFF switch to the SETUP position. This mode allows you
to configure the camera as needed. The screen will light up. Press the MENU key
to enter the menu. Use the arrow keys to navigate through the menu and press OK
to confirm. Find the menu structure on page 7, and on page 12 the detailed menu.
Notes:
Read the manual and menu descriptions carefully to understand each setting.
Test each step and check how it works.
A setting that is not familiar to you can lead to a dierent and unknown way of working.
You can return to the factory settings and resume setup if the camera behaves dierently
after certain user settings.
After completing the settings, switch back to the ON position.
3. Connect to the network
When you switch to the SETUP position, the screen lights up and the camera
automatically searches for signal and checks for an SD card.
If only the signal bar appears on the screen, it means the device has automatically
connected to the network. Simply enter the phone number and e-mail address you
want to receive allarms on in case of motion detection.
If a pop-up message appears on the screen “SIM Auto Match failed…“ go to 3G -
SIM Auto Match. Select Manual. The select 3G-Manual setup menu and add the
APN of the GSM operator. The camera will automatically connect to the network
after rebooting.
Nota: The camera can send images to 2 phones and 2 email addresses. By default, the
camera sends images to the phone via MMS, and photo/video by email via SMTP (data).
If you want to change the default settings, go to the menu.

MMS function brings additional costs. Check the costs for the MMS service and ask for
activation and settings to be made by your mobile operator if you want to use this feature.
VERY IMPORTANT WARNINGS
• If you want to receive photo only by e-mail, disable MMS and FTP, and do not
enter phone numbers in the “Send To” menu.
• If you want to use the MMS function, make sure that you have the active MMS
function on the SIM card and that you have previously tested the function in a
phone (meaning, you can send and receive an MMS with this card).
• Test your SIM card in a phone and make sure you have Internet (mobile data),
SMS (for communicating with the Trail Camera smartphone application), credit
and MMS enabled.
• The camera will automatically enter the 3G and MMS settings (only if you use
the function) when the SIM card is inserted. If the message “SIM Automatch
failed” appears on the screen, enter the settings manually, switch the “SIM Auto
Match” mode to “Manual”, then enter the 3G and/or MMS settings (if you use
the function);
• For emails, enter your email address in “Send to” - “Email” (up to 2 email
addresses can be set).

FAST CONFIGURATION WITH TRAILCAMERA APP
You can send basic settings to the camera, directly from the TrailCamera mobile
application, to quickly configure it, or to receive emails. Just enter a SIM card with
SMS, active Internet and no PIN (tested in a phone in advance) and turn on the
camera (the switch is on ON position) and check as indicated above for a signal in
the camera.
- Add in the app the phone number of the SIM inside the camera.
- Copy the settings in the image below and only modify your phone number and
email address with your own.
- Send the settings to the camera by pressing the Send button.
- The camera will respond with an SMS “SMS commands executed successfully!”
- Give the command “Get a picture” from the application and you will receive the
same SMS and an email with the photo taken by the camera.
- If it does not work, it means the product does not have the GSM signal, the Internet
or the correct settings made. Check the settings again and remove the camera in
the open field where you have at least 2 signal lines. Please also carefully check the
camera settings.
