CHAPTER 1
Introduction
This manual provides an integral technical information you need to maintain the LCD Monitor.
And this manual is applied to the model of 1024*768 pixels color TFT LCD Monitor with a 15.1”
flat panel screen. There are seven topics in this manual, and you can immediately identify problems
through this manual.
This manual is for the technicians and people who have the electronic background. Send the
product back to the distributor for repairing and do not attempt to do anything which is complex or
not mentioned in the troubleshooting.
❉Turn off the product before cleaning.
❉Use only a dry soft cloth when cleaning the LCDpanel surface.
❉Use a soft cloth moistured with mild detergent to clean the display housing.
❉Use only high quality and safety approved AC/DC power adapter.
❉Disconnect the power plug fromAC outlet if the product is not used for a long period
of time.
❉Do not touch the LCDpanel surface with sharp or hard objects.
❉Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes or solvents for your cleaning.
❉Do not operate the product under the following conditions :
- Extremely hot, cold or humid environment.
- Areas susceptible to excessive dusts and dirt.
-Near any appliance generating a strong magnetic field.
- Place in direct sunlight.

1-3.2 How to Use the OSD Menus
1. Press the “Menu” button to pop up the on-screen menu and to select between three
Main Menus.
2. Choose the adjustmentitemsbypressingthe“Select/Auto” button.
3. Adjust thevalue of theadjustment itemsby pressingthe “3” or “4” button.
4. Once you don’t operate the OSDmenus after a pre-set time, the OSDmenus will
automaticallydisappear.

ADC TheAD9884is a complete8-bit 140 Msps monlithic analog
interfaceoptimizdforcapturingRGBgraphicssignalsfrom
personal computers and workstations. Its 140 Msps encode
ratecapability and full-poweranalogbandwidthof 500 MHz
supportsdisplayresolutions of upto1280*1024 (SXGA) at
75Hzwithsufficientinputbandwidthtoaccuratelyacquireand
digitizeeachpixel.
TheAD9884 includesan internal+1.25Vreference,PLLto
generateapixelclockfromHSYNC,andprogrammablegain,
offsetandclampcircuits.Thisdeviceisfullyprogrammable
via atwo-wireserial port.
Flat Panel Controller Itperformsimagescalingon24-bitRGBorYUVdatastream
andfeedsthescaledpixelstoLCDpanel.AnOSD(OnScreen
Display)logic is embedded, besides,there isan overlayport
forexternalOSDsignalsinterface.Thechipembedsline
bufferssothatsame-frame-ratescalingsrequirenoexternal
memoryICs.Anautoadjustmentfunctionprovidesautomatic
frequency,phase,H&Vposition,andwhite balancetuning.
DC-DC Coverter Circuit ofDC-DC Converter used 12VDC-in to regulate
+5V & +3.3V for system use.

TheW78E516Bcontainsa64KbytesofauxiliaryMTP-ROM
which allows the contents of the 64KB main MTP-ROM to
be updated by the loader program located at the 4KB
auxiliary MTP-ROM; 512bytesofon-chipRAM;four8-bit
bi-directionalandbit-addressable I/O ports;anadditional
4-bitport P4;three16-bittimer/counters;aserialport.These
peripherals aresupported by a eight sources two-level
interruptcapability.Tofacilitateprogrammingandverification,
the MTP-ROM inside theW78E516B allows the program
memorytobeprogrammedandreadelectronically.
