Short Circuit Isolators

All M700 series modules are provided with short circuit monitoring and isolators on the intelligent

loop. If required the isolators may be wired out of the loop to facilitate the use of the modules on

high current loaded loops, for example if sounders are used. To achieve this, the loop out positive

should be wired to terminal 5 rather than terminal 2. See the relevant wiring diagram for details.

M710 SINGLE CHANNEL INPUT MODULE

Provides single channel monitoring of normally open contact fire alarm and supervisory devices.

The M710 has a single tri-colour green/red/yellow LED, which can be set by panel command to

pulse green each time the module is polled. In case of an alarm the panel can switch the red

indicator on continuously. TheYellow LED is controlled by the module and blinks to indicate an

open circuit on the input circuit. This fault indication is overridden by a panel command to turn the

red LED on.

M720 DUAL CHANNEL INPUT MODULE

The M720 is a dual channel module used for the monitoring of normally open contact fire alarm

and supervisory devices.

It has two tri-colour LED's, one referring to each channel. Each LED can be set by panel

command to pulse green each time the module channel is polled. In case of an alarm the panel

can switch the red indicator on continuously. TheYellow LED is controlled by the module and

blinks to indicate an open circuit on the input circuit. This fault indication is always overridden by

a panel command to turn the red LED on.

M720Wiring

See figure 3 for wiring details.

M721 DUAL INPUT,SINGLE OUTPUT MODULE

This module provides dual channel monitoring of normally open contact fire alarm and

supervisory devices, and also provides single pole changeover contacts for the control of auxiliary

devices such as fire shutters.

Three tri-colour LED's are provided to indicate the status of each channel.

LED's A and B refer to the two input channels. Each LED can be set by panel command to pulse

green each time the module channel is polled. In case of an alarm the panel can switch the red

indicator on continuously.

LED C refers to the output channel. The LED can be set by panel command to pulse green each

time the channel is polled. The LED will be switched continuously on Green by command from

the control panel when the relay contacts are in the energised state.

The M721 relay contact ratings are 30VDC, 2A or 30VAC, 0.5A (Resistive load).

INSTALLATION

Note: These modules must only be connected to control panels using compatible proprietary

analogue addressable communication protocols for monitoring and control.

M700 series modules can be mounted in several ways (See figure 1):

1. An M200E-SMB custom low profile surface-mounting box.

2. An M200E-DIN Adaptor allows mounting onto standard 35mm x 7.5mm "Top Hat" DIN rail.

3. An M200E-PMB Panel Mount Bracket allows the module to be mounted directly into a panel.

Wiring to all series M700 modules is via plug in type terminals capable of supporting conductors

up to 2.5mm²

CAUTION

Disconnect loop power before installing modules or sensors

The module address is selected by means of rotary decade address switches (see figure 2).

These can be accessed either from the front or the top of the module. A screwdriver should be

used to rotate the wheels to select the desired address, either from the front, or the top of the

module.

For modules having more than one channel, the address selected will refer to the first input

channel, the module will automatically assign the next one or two addresses as appropriate to the

second input channel and output channel. As a result, address 159 will be invalid for dual channel

modules, and addresses 158 and 159 are invalid for three channel modules. If these addresses

are selected, no response will be seen from the module. Note: Some control panels are only able

to use 99 addresses. If this is the case, 99 will be invalid for dual channel modules, and addresses

98 and 99 are invalid for three channel modules.

Isolatori di corto circuito

Tutti i moduli della serie M700 sono dotati di un dispositivo di monitoraggio e di isolatori di corto

circuito sul loop intelligente. Se necessario, è possibile cablare gli isolatori al loop in modo da

agevolare l'utilizzo dei moduli in loop ad alta corrente se, ad esempio, si utilizzano avvisatori

acustici. A questo scopo, cablare l'uscita loop positiva al morsetto 5 anziché al morsetto 2. Per

maggiori dettagli ved. lo schema di cablaggio.

MODULO DI INGRESSO A CANALE SINGOLO M710

Garantisce il monitoraggio su canale singolo di dispositivi di supervisione e dispositivi antincendio

con contatti normalmente aperti.

Il modello M710 è dotato di un singolo LED tricolore (verde/rosso/giallo) che può essere

impostato con un comando del pannello affinché lampeggi di luce verde ogniqualvolta il modulo

viene interrogato. In caso di allarme, il pannello attiva l'indicatore rosso che rimane accesso in

modo fisso. Il LED giallo è controllato dal modulo e quando lampeggia indica un circuito aperto

nel circuito di ingresso. La priorità di questa indicazione di guasto è inferiore a quella d'allarme

(gestita dal pannello di controllo).

MODULO DI INGRESSO A DOPPIO CANALE M720

Il modello M720 è un modulo a doppio canale utilizzato per il monitoraggio di dispositivi di

supervisione e di dispositivi antincendio con contatti normalmente aperti.

Presenta due LED tricolore, uno per ciascun canale. Ciascun LED può essere impostato

mediante un comando del pannello affinché lampeggi di luce verde ogniqualvolta il modulo viene

interrogato. In caso di allarme, il pannello attiva l'indicatore rosso che rimane accesso in modo

fisso. Il LED giallo è controllato dal modulo e quando lampeggia indica un circuito aperto nel

circuito di ingresso La priorità di questa indicazione di guasto è inferiore a quella d'allarme

(gestita dal pannello di controllo).

MODULO A DOPPIO INGRESSO E SINGOLA USCITA M721

Questo modulo consente il monitoraggio su doppio canale di dispositivi di supervisione e

dispositivi antincendio con contatti normalmente aperti, e dispone di contatti di commutazione a

polo singolo per il controllo di dispositivi ausiliari quali dispositivi antincendio.

I tre LED tricolore hanno la funzione di indicare lo stato di ciascun canale.

I LED A e B si riferiscono ai due canali di ingresso. Ciascun LED può essere impostato mediante

un comando del pannello affinché lampeggi di luce verde ogniqualvolta il modulo viene interrogato.

In caso di allarme, il pannello attiva l'indicatore rosso che rimane accesso in modo fisso.

Il LED C si riferisce al canale di uscita. È possibile impostare il LED mediante un comando del

pannello affinché lampeggi di luce verde ogniqualvolta il modulo viene interrogato. Quando i

contatti del relè si trovano in uno stato energizzato, con un comando del pannello di controllo si

attiva il LED verde che rimane acceso in modo fisso.

INSTALLAZIONE

Nota: Questi moduli possono essere collegati esclusivamente a pannelli di controllo dotati di

opportuno protocollo di comunicazione proprietario, indirizzabile ed analogico,

compatibile con funzioni di monitoraggio e controllo.

I moduli della serie M700 possono essere montati in diversi modi (ved. figura 1):

1. Una scatola M200E-SMB con montaggio su superficie personalizzato a basso profilo.

2. Un adattatore M200E-DIN consente il montaggio su binario DIN "Top Hat" standard da 35

mm x 7,5 mm.

3. Una staffa di montaggio del pannello M200E-PMB consente di montare il modulo

direttamente su un pannello.

Per quanto riguarda il cablaggio, tutti i moduli della serie M700 utilizzano morsetti di tipo a spina,

in grado di supportare conduttori fino a 2,5 mm²

ATTENZIONE

Prima di installare i moduli o i sensori, scollegare l'alimentazione del circuito

L'indirizzo del modulo viene scelto per mezzo di switch rotativi per indirizzamento decimale (ved.

figura 2). A questi è possibile accedere dalla parte anteriore o superiore del modulo. Utilizzare un

cacciavite per girare le ruote e quindi selezionare l'indirizzo desiderato dalla parte anteriore o da

quella superiore del modulo.

Per i moduli che possiedono più di un canale, l'indirizzo selezionato si riferisce al primo canale di

ingresso. Il modulo assegnerà automaticamente il successivo indirizzo al secondo canale di

ingresso e quello successivo ancora al canale di uscita. Di conseguenza, l'indirizzo 159 non è

valido per i moduli a doppio canale mentre gli indirizzi 158 e 159 non sono validi per i moduli a tre

canali. Nota: Alcune centrali gestiscono solamente 99 indirizzi. In questo caso, l'indirizzo 99 non è

valido per i moduli a doppio canale mentre gli indirizzi 98 e 99 non sono validi per i moduli a tre canali.

Nella commutazione di carichi induttivi,

per proteggere il modulo da picchi di

tensione è importante proteggere i

contatti del relè.

Nelle applicazioni in corrente continua

applicare un diodo con tensione di

breakdown al massimo di dieci volte la

tensione del circuito mentre nelle

applicazioni in corrente sia continua che

alternata utilizzare un varistore.

Aisladores de cortocircuitos

Todos los módulos de la serie M700 incluyen supervisión y aislamiento de cortocircuitos en el

lazo analógico. Si es necesario, se pueden eliminar por conexionado los aisladores para facilitar

el uso de los módulos en lazos de alta corriente, por ejemplo cuando se utilizan sirenas. Para

ello, hay que conectar la salida positiva del lazo al terminal 5 en vez de al terminal 2. Si desea

información más detallada, consulte los diagramas de conexión correspondientes.

MÓDULO DE ENTRADA DE UN SOLO CANAL M710

Proporciona un canal de control de dispositivos de supervisión y alarmas contra incendios con

contactos normalmente abiertos.

El M710 tiene un solo LED de tres colores (verde/rojo/amarillo) que se puede configurar desde el

panel para que el led verde parpadee cada vez que se interrogue al módulo. En caso de alarma,

el panel puede hacer que el led rojo permanezca encendido de forma fija. El LED amarillo se

controla con el módulo y parpadea para indicar un circuito abierto en el circuito de entrada. Esta

indicación de averías se cancela con un comando del panel que enciende el LED rojo.

controla con el módulo y parpadea para indicar un circuito abierto en el circuito de entrada. Esta

indicación de averías se cancela siempre con un comando del panel que enciende el LED rojo.

MÓDULO DE ENTRADA DOBLE Y SALIDA ÚNICA M721

Este módulo proporciona dos canales de control de dispositivos de supervisión y alarmas contra

incendios con contactos normalmente abiertos, así como contactos de conmutación unipolar para

el control de dispositivos auxiliares, como puertas cortafuego.

El estado de cada canal se indica mediante tres LEDs de tres colores.

Los LEDs A y B corresponden a los dos canales de entrada. Desde el panel, se puede configurar

para que el led verde parpadee cada vez que se interrogue el canal del módulo. En caso de

alarma, el panel puede hacer que el led rojo permanezca encendido de forma fija.

El LED C corresponde al canal de salida. Desde el panel, se puede configurar para que el led

verde parpadee cada vez que se interrogue el canal. Es posible utilizar un comando del panel

para hacer que el LED permanezca encendido de forma fija en verde si los contactos del relé

están activados.

INSTALACIÓN

Nota: Estos módulos sólo se deben conectar a paneles de control utilizando protocolos de

comunicaciones analógicas direccionables compatibles y exclusivos para supervisión y

control.

Los módulos de la serie M700 se pueden montar de distintas formas (figura 1):

1. Una caja para montaje en superficie M200E-SMB de bajo perfil.

2. Un adaptador M200E-DIN que permite el montaje en rieles estándar DIN "Top Hat" de 35

mm x 7,5 mm.

3. Un soporte de montaje en panel M200E-PMB que permite montar el módulo directamente en

un panel.

Las conexiones de todos los módulos de la serie M700 se realizan mediante terminales extraíbles

con capacidad para cables con sección de hasta 2,5 mm²

PRECAUCIÓN

Desconecte la alimentación del lazo antes de instalar módulos o sensores

La dirección del módulo se selecciona por medio de selectores de dirección giratorios y

decádicos (figura 2) a los que se accede desde la parte delantera o superior del módulo. Hay que

utilizar un destornillador para girar los selectores y elegir la dirección deseada.

En los módulos que tienen más de un canal, la dirección seleccionada será la del primer canal de

entrada. El módulo asignará automáticamente la dirección o las dos direcciones siguientes, según

AVISO

Si se conectan cargas inductivas y con el fin

de proteger el módulo de sobrecargas

causadas por picos de retorno al conectar la

carga, es importante proteger los contactos

de relé. Se debe conectar a través de la carga

un diodo con tensión de ruptura invertida de,

como mínimo, diez veces la tensión del

circuito (solo para aplicaciones de corriente

continua 'dc'), o bien una varistor (para

aplicaciones de corriente alterna 'ac' y

continua 'dc').

Isolator

Alle Module der Serie M700 sind mit einer Kurzschlussüberwachung und einem Isolator für die

Ringleitung ausgerüstet. Falls erforderlich können die Isolatoren aus der Verdrahtung

herausgenommen werden, z.B. wenn Signalgeber angeschlossen sind deren Stromversorgung

über die spezielle Ringleitung erfolgt. In diesem Fall sollte der Ausgang "Ringleitung+" direkt an

Klemme 5 und nicht an Klemme 2 angeschlossen werden (siehe umseitigesVerdrahtungsdiagramm)

M710 ÜBERWACHUNGSMODUL MIT EINEM EINGANG

Das Modul stellt einen Eingang zur Überwachung von Brandmeldekontakten mit

Schliesserfunktion oder Überwachungskontakten zur Verfügung.

Das M710 besitzt eine 3-farbige grün/rot/gelb LED, die bei jeder Kommunikation mit der Zentrale

grün aufblinkt. Im Alarmfall kann von der Brandmelderzentrale zur Anzeige die rote LED

angesteuert werden. Die gelbe LED wird direkt von dem Modul angesteuert und blinkt bei einem

Drahtbruch an dem Eingang. Diese Anzeige wird im Ereignisfall, wegen der vorrangigen

Ansteuerung der roten LED durch die Zentrale überschrieben.

M720 ÜBERWACHUNGSMODUL MIT ZWEI EINGÄNGEN

Das Modul M720 stellt zwei Eingänge zur Überwachung von Brandmeldekontakten mit

Schliesserfunktion oder Überwachungskontakten zur Verfügung.

Das Modul besitzt zwei 3-farbige grün/rot/gelb LED´s, die bei jeder Kommunikation mit der

Zentrale grün aufblinken. Im Alarmfall kann von der Brandmelderzentrale zur Anzeige die rote

LED angesteuert werden. Die gelbe LED wird direkt von dem Modul angesteuert und blinkt bei

einem Drahtbruch an dem entsprechenden Eingang. Diese Anzeige wird im Ereignisfall, wegen

der vorrangigen Ansteuerung der roten LED durch die Zentrale überschrieben.

M720Verdrahtung:

M721 ÜBERWACHUNGSMODUL MIT 2 EINGÄNGEN UND EINEM STEUERAUSGANG

Das Modul M721 besitzt zwei Eingänge zur Überwachung von Brandmeldekontakten mit

Schliesserfunktion oder Überwachungskontakten. Zusätzlich steht ein Relaisausgang (Wechsler,

1-polig) zur Ansteuerung von externen Baugruppen wie z.B. Feuerabschlusstüren zur Verfügung.

Mit den drei 3-farbigen LED's wird der Zustand jedes Ein-/Ausganges angezeigt.

Die LED's A und B beziehen sich auf die beiden Moduleingänge. Jede LED blinkt bei der

Kommunikation des Moduls mit der Zentrale grün auf. Im Alarmfall kann von der

Brandmelderzentrale zur Anzeige die rote LED angesteuert werden.

Die LED C bezieht sich auf den Modulausgang. Die LED blinkt bei der Kommunikation des

Moduls mit der Zentrale grün auf. Bei einer Ansteuerung des Relaisausganges leuchtet die LED

zur Anzeige dauerhaft grün auf.

Die Schaltleistung der M721 Relaiskontakte beträgt 2A bei 30VDC.

INSTALLATION

Hinweis: Diese Module dürfen nur an kompatible Zentralen mit adressierbarer

Ringleitungskommunikation und den geforderten Eigenschaften für die für die

Steuerung und Überwachung angeschlossen werden.

Module der Serie M700 können auf verschiedene Weise montiert werden (Siehe Abb.1):

1. In der M200E-SMB aP-Montagebox, flache Bauform.

2. Der M200E-DIN Adapter ermöglicht die Montage auf einem Standard 35mm x 7.5mm C-

Hutschienenprofil.

3. Das M200E-PMB Adapterstück ermöglicht die Montage direkt im Zentralengehäuse.

Die Verdrahtung der Serie M700 Module erfolgt über die Steckverbinder mit einem

Kabelquerschnitt von max. 2,5mm²

ACHTUNG

Vor der Installation von Meldern oder Modulen ist die Ringleitung spannungsfrei zu

schalten.

Die Moduladresse wird mit einem geeigneten Schraubendreher an dem Drehschalter eingestellt

(siehe Abb. 2). Dieser kann von der vorne oder der rechten Seite des Moduls erreicht werden.

Bei Modulen mit mehr als einem Ein-/Ausgang, bezieht sich die eingestellte Adresse auf den

ersten Eingang. Die nächste(n) Adresse(n) werden von dem Modul automatisch dem

entsprechend Eingang bzw. Ausgang auf dem Modul zugeordnet. Aus diesem Grund kann die

Adresse 159 bei Modulen mit zwei Ein-/Ausgängen und die Adresse 158 bei Modulen mit 3 Ein-/

Ausgängen nicht benutzt werden. Bei einer Einstellung dieser Adresse erfolgt keine Rückmeldung

von diesem Modul. Anmerkung: Einige Brandmelderzentralen können nur 99 Adressen benutzten.

Für diesen Fall die Adresse 99 bei Modulen mit zwei Ein-/Ausgängen und die Adresse 98 bei

Modulen mit 3 Ein-/Ausgängen nicht benutzt werden. Bei einer Einstellung dieser Adresse erfolgt

keine Rückmeldung von diesem Modul.

schutzen, wenn induktive Lasten

Betriebspannung (bei DC-Betrieb) oder

ein Varistor (bei AC+DC-Betrieb) sollte
