Introduction
As a kind of handheld high-s eed thermal micro- rinter, MPK 1230 Micro-Printer is develo ed,
roduced and manufactured by Nanjing Fujitsu Com uter Facility Co., Ltd. Com atible with the
wireless PDA roduct, this roduct is a licable to the traffic violation data transmission system
of the ublic security sector, and used for rinting the enalty notice for road traffic violation as
well as the internal data from the vehicle traveling data recorder.
This roduct is characterized by the small size, light weight, reliable erformance, sim le
connection and easy use and suitable for the field working environment, so it is an ideal auxiliary
roduct for the traffic control de artment and the vehicle traveling data recorder.
MPK1230XX Series Micro-Printer is classified into three categories including RS232 interface,
infrared interface and Bluetooth interface. Please refer to the corres onding sections for o erations
of the machines with difference interfaces.
For this roduct, the olicy of the joint guarantee in the whole country for urchase in difference
laces is im lemented. The technical service centers and maintenance stations established by
Nanjing Fujitsu Com uter Facility Co., Ltd. throughout the country are res onsible for rovision
of the roduct maintenance and technical su ort.

Connection and Operation
Method for loading battery
As shown in the figure left, first ut the cathode-anode end of the battery into the battery bin, and
then ush the battery to the other end with the finger in the direction illustrated in the figure so as
to enable the battery to contact com letely with the bottom of the battery bin.
Method for unloading battery
As shown in figure left, hold slightly to the right of the center of the battery, and ush slightly
u ward to ull the right end of the battery out of the battery bin first.
Warning: When loading and unloading the battery, please make sure
that the power of the printer is turned off!
Connection and Operation
Method for loading paper
率 As shown in figure left, hold both ends of the a er bin lid, and ull the a er bin lid u ward.
立 Put the heat-sensitive a er into the bin in the direction illustrated in the figure, and ull out a
small section of the a er;
葎 Close the lid off;
掠 Turn on the ower, ush down the a er feeding button, and make the line mark flush with the
location of the a er out ut;
略 Tear off the su erfluous a er along the a er tearing mouth.

Connection and Operation
Connection of printer to serial interface
In case that the ower-off state is confirmed, connect the rinter to PDA or vehicle data recorder
with the s ecial connecting cable. (Note: when using the infrared interface for communication, the
infrared interference source is not allowed.)
Attention
When MPK 1230 printer is connected to P A or vehicle data
recorder, please confirm that the printer is in the state of power-off,
otherwise the RS232 interface may be damaged.
Connection and Operation
Connection of infrared interface
When PDA is sending data to the rinter through the infrared interface, it is necessary to align the
infrared window of PDA with the infrared window of the rinter with the angle not more than
±15º and the distance not more than 30CM. In case of the successful connection, the words
“Fujitsu MPK1230” will be dis layed on PDA or PC. (Note: This rinter su orts IrCOMM
rotocol for the time being.)
