NEC DISPLAY SOLUTIONS LAUNCHES PLASMASYNC RESIDENTIAL SERIES
WITH 42-, 50- AND 60-INCH CONSUMER DISPLAYS
PlasmaSync 42XC10, 50XC10 and 60XC10 Deliver Superior Image Quality,
Expanded Input and Output Controls and New Design
CHICAGO – September 5, 2007 – NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading stand-
alone provider of plasma displays, LCD desktop and commercial large-screen LCDs,
and projectors, announced today the launch of the new PlasmaSync Residential Series
plasma displays. The new models include the 42-inch 42XC10, 50-inch 50XC10 and 60-
inch 60XC10. The new series, a replacement for the highly esteemed Showcase Series,
is designed for custom installations in the home theater, media center and home
entertainment environments.
The new residential line provides advanced video quality that allows for near flawless
interpolation of moving images. Blacks appear deeper than previous generations of
plasma screens, which deliver greater detail and produce a higher contrast ratio. In
addition, a robust input panel provides HDMI with HDCP inputs, and the RS-232 input
and output control provides easy setup to control systems.
“The PlasmaSync Residential Series sets a new standard over previous generations of
plasma displays. Through competitive pricing and wide availability, this new plasma line
should quickly become the leading choice for custom installations,” said Todd Fender,
Product Line Manager for NEC Display Solutions. “Unique features like day and night
ISF calibration settings create a more adaptable home-theater viewing experience while
the all-new cabinet design and brushed metal bezel offer a design complement to just
about any room décor.”

The PlasmaSync Residential Series also features IR Remote ID, including 26 IDs with
10-key remote functionality, which allows units placed in close proximity to one another
to have different IR transmissions so only one unit is controlled at a time.
The all new cabinet design on the PlasmaSync Series resembles the market-leading
NEC Display LCD product lines, with brushed aluminum top and bottom bezel designs.
The displays also have removable top and bottom bezels, which allow for easy
transformation to an all-black unit. Optional speakers and stands are available as well.
The new 42XC10, 50XC10 and 60XC10 models include the following features:
•Superior video quality, which allows for a smoother picture with greater detail and
deeper blacks
•Comprehensive input panel, including an HDMI with HDCP input, which delivers
the latest in digital connectivity
•Complete RS-232 input and output control, which provides easy set-up to control
systems
•Imaging Science Foundation – ISF-certified calibration controls, which provide
calibration settings for day and night viewing
•Extended product lifetime, which means consumers are more likely to replace a
unit with new technology versus having to replace it due to technology failure
•Enhanced picture-in-picture, which allows two sources to be displayed on the
screen at one time with multiple configurations and sizes available for both
sources
•VESA Standard wall mount hole pattern, which enables compatibility with
universal mounts
•2K meter altitude, which ensures high altitude environments work properly
•Multiple aspect ratio control, which allows flexibility with today’s many source
choices
•Advanced AccuBlend™, which converts non-native resolutions to the resolution
of the display
•Optional Stand

The PlasmaSync 50XC10 and 60XC10 will be available for September shipment. The
42XC10 will be available for October shipment, and all models are backed by an
industry-leading 3-year warranty.
