BEFORE USE
Before use, please read this manual carefully.
Only connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket.
This appliance is for household use only. When using electrical
appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
avoid res, electric shocks, burns, or other injuries and damage. Read
these operating and safety instructions carefully.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS (1/3)
1. Read all instructions.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock do not immerse cord,plugs
and appliance in water or other liquid.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by
or near children.
4. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off
parts and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off
parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
5. Avoid contact with moving parts.Do not operate any appliance
with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is
dropped or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the
nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical
or mechanical adjustment.
6. The use of attachments, not recommended by the manufacturer may
cause a risk of injury to persons.
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. Do not let cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch
hot surfaces including the stove.
9. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated
oven.
10. Do not use appliance for uses other than intended use.To
disconnect, turn any control to “off” rst, then remove plug from wall
outlet.

11. Only operate the appliance as described in this instruction manual
and observe all safety instructions. Failure to do so can cause injuries.
12. Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils
away from dough hooks/whisks during operation to reduce the risk of
injury to persons, and/or damage to the mixer.
13. Do not switch the appliance on until the whisks or dough hooks are
in a suitable container. Do not operate the appliance when the whisks
or dough hooks are not in a suitable container.
14. Do not touch the whisks or dough hooks during use. Risk of injury!
15. Never use different attachments (whisks and dough hooks) at the
same time.
16. Do not remove the attachments (whisks or dough hooks) from
the mixing bowl until the appliance is unplugged and all parts have
come to a complete standstill. Disconnect the appliance from the outlet
immediately. Risk of injury!
17. Do not plug the appliance into the electrical outlet until all parts
have been assembled properly.
18. Do not use the appliance to stir hard ingredients.
19. Never operate the appliance without ingredients, as the motor
could overheat.
20. Switch off and unplug the appliance before tting, removing or
changing accessories. Always wait until all parts have come to a
complete standstill.
Never operate the appliance for more than 10 minutes at a time. Allow
it to cool down to room temperature before starting it again.
21. Ensure that the appliance is switched off before you plug it into the
outlet or unplug it, to avoid accidental operation. Risk of injury!
22. Only use accessories provided together with this hand mixer.Use
of non-original accessories may lead to an increased risk of danger.
We accept no liability in the event of accidents or damage resulting
from the use of non-original accessories. Use of non-original accessories
resulting in damage to the appliance will invalidate any warranty
claims.

23. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the
manufacturer may cause re, electric shock or injury.
24. Remove dough hooks from mixer before cleaning.
25. Keep hands and utensils out of the used container to reduce the risk
of injury to persons or damage to the mixer.
26. The maximum rating is based on the dough hooks that draws
the greatest load (power or current) and that other recommended
attachments may draw signicantly less power or current.
27. The appliance must not be operated by children. Please keep the
appliance and its power cord away from children.
28. Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance.Children
do not recognize the danger which can result from using electrical
appliances. For this reason use and store the appliance out of the reach
of children. To prevent anyone from pulling the appliance over, do not
allow the power cord to hang down from the worktop surface.
WARNING!
No user serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done by authorized
service personnel only.

OPERATION & ASSEMBLING
Use of the hand mixer:
CAUTION!
Do not operate the appliance for more than 10 minutes at a time and
allow it to cool down to room temperature afterwards.
WARNING!
Do not plug the appliance into the electrical outlet until it has
been assembled properly. Ensure that the appliance is switched
off before you plug it in and do not switch on the appliance
until the dough hooks or whisks are in a container or immersed
in the ingredients.
Use an appropriately sized mixing bowl for the quantity to be
processed.
Assembling the appliance:
• Depending on the ingredients you wish to use, rst insert the required
attachments(whisks 6 7 or dough hooks 4 5 ) into the receptacles 8 of
the drive unit.
To work properly, the attachments must be inserted correctly in the
receptacles. The attachments (whisks and dough hooks) have plastic
connectors at the ends. There are disc-shaped collars – one large
diameter collar and one small diameter collar – at the bottom of the
plastic connectors. The receptacle openings for the attachments are also
different sizes. This is to help you position the attachments correctly in
the
receptacles.
• When tting the attachments, ensure that the attachment (whisks 6 7
or dough
hooks 4 5 ) with the larger disc-shaped collar is 5 inserted into the
receptacle
with the larger opening.
• Insert the attachments into the receptacles (rotating slightly if
necessary) until they
click together audibly and perceptibly. Check that they are securely and
correctly in
place.

Starting the appliance:
• Prepare your ingredients and place them in a suitable container.
• Now you can plug the appliance into an electrical outlet. Make sure
that the appliance is switched off (6-step switch 2 in position “0”).
• Use the 6-step switch (B) to switch on the appliance. The 6-step switch
2 offers
you the following settings.
WARNING!
Do not plug the appliance into the electrical outlet and start it
until all parts have been assembled correctly.
Position “0”:
The drive unit 4 is switched off.
Position “1” – “5”:
Speed settings, whereby “1” is the lowest speed setting and “5” is the
highest speed setting.
Note: Always start blending at the lowest speed setting “1” and
increase the speed
carefully if necessary by setting the 6-step switch 2 to the required
speed setting.
Press the Turbo button 1 to boost the power and speed of the appliance
to the maximum (speed setting “5”). You can use the Turbo button at
any time (at any setting). As the Turbo button is the same power as
speed setting“5”, the appliance does not increase its performance if it
was already on speed setting 5 when the Turbo button is pressed.

Recommended speeds:
Speed setting Activity Description
1 Stiring/blending Start speed for blending large
quantities and dry foods, e.g.
our, sugar. For mixing two
ingredients, e.g. adding stiff
egg white into a dough.
2 Slow whisking Ideal speed for adding liquid
ingredients or mixing
salad dressings.
3 Mixing/whisking For blending pastry or
cake dough.
4 Stirring/ For whipping cream.
fast whisking For stirring butter and sugar,
whipping cold desserts etc.
5 Whipping For whisking eggs, beaten
egg whites, mashed potatoes,
whipping cream,
mayonnaise etc.
Note: Depending on the quantity and consistency of your ingredients, it
may be necessary to adjust the speed slightly to allow the ingredients to
be processed suitably for the desired result.
• When you have nished processing your ingredients, switch off the
drive unit 9 by setting the 6-step switch 2 to position “0”.
• Unplug the appliance by pulling the power cord out of the electrical
outlet. Do not pull the cable.
Do not remove the attachments (whisks or dough hooks) from
the ingredients or the container until all parts have come to a
full standstill.
• To remove the attachments (whisks 6 7 or dough hooks 4 5), press
the eject button 3 ; the lock is released and the attachments can be
removed.
Note: Switch off the appliance after every use and unplug it from the
outlet. Allow the appliance to cool down sufciently before cleaning
and/or stowing away.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
WARNING!
Before cleaning the appliance, always unplug the power cord
and allow the appliance to cool down fully before cleaning and
stowing away! Danger of electric shock!
WARNING!
Ensure that no liquids get inside the appliance.
Never submerge the appliance in water.
Danger of electric shock!
CAUTION!
Never use harsh or abrasive cleaning materials or
sharp-edged items to clean the appliance.
• To clean the appliance housing, use a dry or if necessary slightly
damp,well wrung-out cloth.
• Then wipe thoroughly dry. Clean the attachments (whisks or dough
hooks) in soap and warm water. Then thoroughly rinse it with clean
water and leave to dry completely. We do not recommend using
dishwashers to clean the attachments.

DISPOSAL
Do not dispose of the device in normal domestic waste.
Dispose of the device over a registered waste disposal rm or through
your communal waste disposal facility.
Observe the currently valid regulations. In case of doubt, consult your
waste disposal facility.
