IMPORTANT - Unplug your prime thermostat before attempting to
replace a blown fuse. If you are unsure regarding any aspect of
this process please seek the help of a competent electrician or
return the thermostat for us to replace the fuse for you.

If the Y or B channel on your prime has no power output it is more than
likely that a protection fuse has blown to protect the thermostat. Due to
the variable quality of the bulbs currently being sold these fuses are fitted
to protect the circuitry of your prime thermostat. Bulbs can draw many amps
for a split second when they blow and these fuses are designed to be fast
acting to prevent them damaging the thermostat.
Replacing the Internal Fuses
1. Ensure your thermostat is disconnected from the mains. Unplug the mains
plug and USB connection.
2. Place the thermostat on a flat surface.
3. Turn the thermostat over so you can see the 2 screws that hold the
casing together
4. Remove the 2 screws using a phillips screwdriver.
5. Gently ease the case apart. Be careful not to pull any of the cables out
from the thermostat as the cables connect the top and bottom circuit
boards.
6. There is 1 fuse holder on the prime 1 and 2 on the prime 2 thermostat.
The fuses are located in black plastic holders indicated in the picture
below. On a Prime 2 please note the labels below with regards to each
channels fuse.
7. To remove the fuse pull the top of the fuse holder up and it will remove
from the fuse holder.
8. Twist the fuse and it will release from the plastic holder. Replace the
fuse with a 20mm x 5mm 5amp Ultra Fast fuse.
9. Replace the fuse into the fuse holder on the board.
10. To reattach the prime casing ensure the front and back panel are aligned
in the slots on the casing and no cables are trapped. Gently push the
case back together and replace the 2 screws.
