Q. HOW DOES THE Q3 AIR PURIFIER WORK?
A. The purier eectively traps 99% of pollutants through a three-stage process:
1. The Q3 Air Purier uses a needlepoint ionizer to drop dust, smoke and other
harmful particles from the air we breathe. In our homes and oces there are
a lack of negative ions and an abundance of positive ions. The buildings we
spend most of our time in block out the natural occurring negative ions. The
Q3 Air Purier recreates the natural balance of positive to negative ions to
signicantly reduce airborne particulate.
2. HEPA lters are eective at capturing dust, mold, pollens, allergens and
other solid particles as small as 3 micron. Through a very ne paper-like lter,
the pollutants in the air pass through the HEPA lter and are trapped. At this
point, any bacteria and particles die because the HEPA lters are dry and
sterile, preventing any future growth.
3. Carbon lter is design to absorb the odors in the air.
4. UV lamp* works with the Photocatalytic Filter* to breakdown and kill viruses
and VOC where it’s smaller than the HEPA lter can trap. Organisms upon
contact with the light immediately“dies”, no matter how harmful the virus is.
Q. HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO REPLACE THE FILTER?
A. All Mammoth Air Filters has a lifetime expectancy of 6 months. On each model,
you will nd a pre-lter that allows owner to wipe away any larger particle of
dust. This will help maintain a high air ow eciency. (Do so once a month)
Just like regularly changing the motor oil with your car, the air lter will become
clogged with ne particles, carbon odors will be saturated, and there will be no
way to wash the lter and would be time to replace with a new one.
A dirty lter does no good in ltering out unwanted particles. Remember to
change them out every 6 months!
