Introduction
Presentation
OkyFly2isaninnovative DigitalTV Karaokesystemthat’sreallyuser-friendly,
but full of high-tech features. With OkyFly2, you can enjoy yourself with your favourite
tunes, sing along with your friends, and “rehearse” with your group or “try out” new
pieces for your shows, organize real karaoke contests.
OkyFly2 is an enjoyable versatile tool, the result of years of experience by
entertainment pros: a real digital instrument for making music:
You can view songs’lyrics directly on your television and follow the words that
change colour “in sync” with the melody.
You can match the songs’ keys to your vocal possibilities or those of whoever
is enjoying themselves with you without any problems.
You can speed up or slow down the songs, even while they’re playing, without
changing their key.
You can eliminate one or more instrument from the songs – for example, sax,
drumsorguitar –andplayover the backingtrackwithyour favouriteinstrument.
Using OkyFly’s electronic memories or your computer, you can have a large
songarchiveconstantly atyourdisposal:whatdothink of 1,000 or2,000songs
– ready to use – contained in a memory you can keep in your pocket?
You can also play your MP3 files or the extraordinary backing tracks MP3 with
coloured syllable highlighting of the lyrics, made by M-Live.
If you’re musicians, OkyFly2 will become your “sparring partner”; if you like
singing, OkyFly2 will enable you to enjoy yourself with all the songs you want.
You can choose between all music genres, with thousands of titles always at your
disposal, 24 hours a day, which can also be downloaded from the Web, thanks to a
user-friendly auto-guided system.
OkyFly2 never finishes, but grows with you: small, but up to pro standards,
portable but reliable, powerful but easily used by anybody, OkyFly2 is a faithful friend

The Oky system’s three “hearts”
TheOkysystem ismadeupof threepartsthatareindependent, butcloselylinked:
OkyFly2 musical file player / digital TV Karaoke
OkyFly2 is the core of the system, the device with which you play
the songs and sing with 1 or 2 microphones.
OkyFly2 can be connected to a TV screen for viewing song lyrics,
choosing backing tracks, programming an automatic playback list,
etc.; it can also be connected to a vast range of audio equipment:
TV sets, Hi-Fi systems, audio mixers, home theatre and Dolby
Surround systems, headphones, etc. The wide choice enables to
use OkyFly2 with great flexibility, both at home and before large
crowds.
OkyFly2 has a permanent on-board memory containing about a
hundred songs always ready for use.
Thanks to Compact Flash cards, i.e. rewritable electronic
memoriesthatareverycompact but have alargecapacity, OkyFly2
can offer hundreds (or even thousands) more songs ready to be
used instantly.
OkyWin software for PC/Windows®
OkyWinisatrulyintuitive, highly automated program whichenables
to download songs from the Web directly to OkyFly2 and keep a
copy in your computer.
OkyWin also enables to keep OkyFly2 constantly updated with the
latest version of the operating system.

Warnings
Connecting to the mains power supply
OkyFly2 is supplied with an external power supply adaptor. Before connecting it to the
mainssupply,makecertainthatthevoltageisthesameasshown(max.tolerance±10%).
Switching on and off
As a precaution, when switching on and off, make certain that the sound system to
which OkyFly2 is connected is switched off: you’ll thus avoid signal peaks, which are
harmful for loudspeaker enclosure components and hearing.
Compact Flash cards
Compact Flash cards must be formatted in “Oky standard”,
i.e. prepared to handle data appropriately with OkyFly2.
N.B.: other standards (e.g. for digital cameras or other units) are not suitable.
To carry out formatting procedure, connect OkyFly2 (with the Compact Flash Card
inserted)tothecomputer andusetheappropriatefunction oftheOkyWin software.
Alternatively, use OkyFlash pre-formatted Compact Flash cards, tested and
guaranteed by M-Live.
N.B.: OkyFly2 is compatible with <CF> CompactFlashTM specifications and has been successfully
tested with a vast number of Compact Flash cards manufactured by various companies.
Nevertheless: - M-Live declines all responsibility for any data loss.
- M-Live declines all responsibility for any faulty operation with Compact Flash
cards other than those sold with the M-Live brand.
Insert the Compact Flash only with OkyFly2 switched off, making certain to insert
it the correct way.
N.B.: incorrect insertion or insertion with the unit switched on can cause faulty operation or data loss.
Connection to a computer via USB
Only connect OkyFly2 to a PC after having installed OkyWin Gold software (or later
versions), always powering OkyFly2 with the power supply/adaptor supplied.
N.B.: connect OkyFly2 to a PC directly using the computer’s USB sockets or by means of powered USB
hubs (devices able to control and power several USB peripherals).
Protection & maintenance
Avoid exposing the unit to direct sunlight for lengthy periods, sources of strong heat,
strong vibrations, particularly damp or dusty environments or rain, as these can cause
faulty operation, deterioration or even electric shocks.
Removethedustjustusinga dry softclothor brush: never usealcohol,acetoneorany
kind of solvents. No other maintenance is required.
