1. Garantie
.
• Lees de gebruikershandleiding
van de Lovens Explorer voor de
algemene voorwaarden en de
veiligheidsvoorschriften omtrent het
gebruik van de Lovens Explorer.
• Lovens biedt 2 jaar garantie op
fabricage- en/of productiefouten.
• Voor behoud van garantie mogen
alleen originele onderdelen gebruikt
worden. Bij gebruik van andere
onderdelen, kan Lovens niet
aansprakelijk gesteld worden voor
eventuele schade.
• Zorg voor een juiste bevestiging zoals
beschreven in de handleiding. Het niet
correct bevestigen kan beschadigingen
aan de bagagedrager opleveren en/of
tot gevaarlijke situaties leiden.
• Het is niet toegestaan zelf
aanpassingen aan de bagagedrager
door te voeren. Wanneer dit wel
gedaan wordt, kan de functionaliteit
veranderen en zal de garantie vervallen.
• De garantie zal ingaan op het moment
dat de dealer de bagagedrager aan
de consument verkoopt of wanneer
de consument de bagagedrager
heeft aangeschaft. Bewaar daarom je
aankoopbewijs goed.
• Deze bagagedrager is uitsluitend
geschikt voor de Lovens Explorer van
Lovens.
Informatie voor
de consument
• Om eventuele foute installatie te
voorkomen is het belangrijk de
bagagedrager altijd door je Lovens
dealer te laten installeren.
• Monteer accessoires zoals etstassen
volgens de handleiding van de
accessoire.
• De bagagedrager is uitgerust met
MIK HD. Houd je aan het maximaal
aangeschreven gewicht op de drager.
• Vervoer geen kinderen jonger dan 9
maanden en/of die nog te klein zijn om
zelfstandig te zitten.
• Monteer het kinderzitje volgens de
handleiding van het kinderzitje en
maak een korte proefrit, zonder kind,
om te kijken of alles goed gemonteerd
is en of het zitje het etsen niet
belemmert en alles goed functioneert.
• Controleer regelmatig of alle
bevestigingsmaterialen goed
vastzitten.
• Het etsen met volle etstassen of een
kind in een kinderetsstoeltje kan het
rijgedrag van de ets beïnvloeden, met
name bij het sturen in de bochten, bij
het remmen en bij het wegrijden.
• Controleer regelmatig of er geen
lichaamsdelen of kledingstukken in
de buurt van draaiende of bewegende
delen van de ets komen bijvoorbeeld
een voet tussen de spaken of een
vinger in het remmechanisme.

2. Installatie instructies
1. Neem de reector onder het zadel
vandaan en monteer deze aan de
achterzijde van de bagagedrager.
4. Draai de dropouts verder los, om de
spanning van de belt te kunnen halen.
gebruik hiervoor inbusleutel 4.
5. Draai de achteras los. Gebruik hiervoor
steeksleutel 15.
6. Til de achterkant van de bakets nu
een klein stukje op, zodat het wiel
los komt van de achteras. Verwijder
nu de twee versnellingkabels. Let op
wanneer je werkt met een Lovens
Explorer uitgerust met Nexus 5.
Volg dan de richtlijnen van shimano
voor het demonteren van het
versnellingsapparaat.

• Voor de installatie van de
bagagedrager is het volgende
gereedschap nodig:
1. steeksleutel 15
2. Inbus 2.5, 3, 4, 5 en 6
3. Dopsleutel 10
4. Boormachine 6,5 mm boor
5. Witte stift om mee af te tekenen.
6. Borgmiddel
• Bij de bagagedrager is inbegrepen:
1. 4x M5x20 cilinderkop bout
2. 4x M5 carrosseriering
3. 2x M4x16 bolkop bout
4. 2x M4 sluitring
5. 1x M6 dopmoer nyloc
6. 2x M6 sluitring
7. 1x M6x16 cylinderkop bout

2. Plaats de ets in een ophanging
of plaats een verhoging onder het
motorblok om het achterwiel vrij te
krijgen.
3. Draai de dropouts los. Gebruik hiervoor
de inbussleutel 6.

7. Verwijder nu het achterwiel van de
bakets.
8. Draai de spatbordstangen los. Gebruik
hiervoor de inbussleutel 3.

9. Neem de bagagedrager en plaats deze
op het achterframe van de bakets.
Zet de drager losjes vast met de 4x
M5 carrosserieringen en de 4x M5x20
cilinderkop bouten. Gebruik hiervoor
de inbussleutel 4. Zorg ervoor dat de
cilinderkop bouten zijn ingesmeerd met
borgmiddel om lostrillen te voorkomen.

10. Neem de witte stift en teken door het
gat een stip op het spatbord om af te
tekenen waar het gat geboord moet
worden.
11. Boor het gat op de gemarkeerde
plaats. Gebruik hiervoor de 6,5 mm
boor.

13. Draai nu alle bouten goed vast. Gebruik
hiervoor een moment van 8 Nm.
14. Bevestig de spatbordstangen weer aan
de bagagedrager. Gebruik hiervoor de
2x M4x16 bolkop bout en de 2x M4
sluitringen. Bevestig deze met een
moment van 5 Nm. Zorg ervoor dat de
bolkop bouten zijn ingesmeerd met
borgmiddel om lostrillen te voorkomen.

15. Bevestig de versnellingskabels weer
aan de schijf. Let op: Neem de kabel
zonder lipje en haal deze bovenlangs.
De andere kabel gaat onderlangs en
sluit beide bevestigingen af.
16. Plaats het wiel weer terug in de
dropouts en zet het achterwiel vast.

17. Draai de achteras weer vast op 40 Nm.
18. Draai de dropout weer aan om de belt
op spanning te brengen. Gebruik het
gereedschap van Gates om de juiste
spanning weer op de belt te kunnen
plaatsen.

19. Zet de dropout vast. Gebruik hiervoor
een moment van 15 Nm. Zorg ervoor
dat de bouten opnieuw worden
ingesmeerd met borgmiddel om
lostrillen te voorkomen.
12. Zet de bagagedrager nu losjes vast
aan het spatbord. Gebruik hiervoor
de M6 dopmoer met nyloc, de 2x M6
sluitringen en de M6x16 cilinderkop
bout. Gebruik hiervoor inbussleutel 5
en dopsleutel 10.

Explorer for the general conditions and
the safety regulations regarding the
use of the Lovens Explorer.
• Lovens offers a 2-year warranty on
manufacturing and/or production
defects.
• To maintain warranty, only original
parts may be used. If other parts
are used, Lovens cannot be held
responsible for any damage.
• Ensure correct mounting as described
in the manual. Improper mounting may
cause damage to the carrier and / or
lead to dangerous situations.
• It is not allowed to make modications
to the luggage carrier yourself. If this is
done, the functionality may change and
the warranty will expire.
• The warranty shall take effect from
the time the dealer sells the luggage
carrier to the consumer or when the
consumer has purchased the luggage
carrier. Therefore, keep your proof of
purchase.
• This luggage carrier is only suitable for
the Lovens Explorer by Lovens.
Consumer
Information
• To avoid any possible incorrect
installation, it is important to always
have your Lovens dealer install the
luggage carrier.
• Install accessories such as panniers
according to the accessory's manual.
• The luggage carrier is equipped with
MIK HD. Adhere to the maximum rated
weight on the carrier.
• Do not transport children younger than
9 months and/or who are still too small
to sit up unaided.
• Mount the child seat according to the
child seat manual and make a short
test ride, without the child, to see if
everything is mounted properly and if
the seat does not interfere with cycling
and everything functions properly.
• Check regularly that all fasteners are
securely fastened.
• Cycling with full panniers or a child in a
child's bike seat can affect the handling
of the bike, especially when steering in
turns, braking and moving off.
• Regularly check that no body parts
or clothing are near any rotating or
moving parts of the bike, for example,
a foot in the spokes or a nger in the
brake mechanism.

2. Installation instructions
1. Take the reector out from under the
saddle and mount it on the back of the
bike rack.
4. Loosen the dropouts further, to be able
to remove the tension from the belt.
Use an Allen key 4 to do this.
5. Loosen the rear axle. Use socket
wrench 15 to do this.
6. Now lift the back of the cargo bike a
little bit so that the wheel comes off
the rear axle. Now remove the two
gear cables. Note when working with a
Lovens Explorer equipped with Nexus
5. Then follow shimano's guidelines for
disassembling the shifter.

• The following tools are required to
install the luggage carrier:
1. Open-end wrench 15
2. Allen 3,4,5 and 6
3. Socket wrench 10
4. Power drill 6.5 mm drill bit
5. White marker to mark off with.
6. Locking compound.
• Included with the luggage carrier is:
1. 4x M5x20 cylinder head bolt
2. 4x M5 body washer
3. 2x M4x16 round head bolt
4. 2x M4 washer
5. 1x M6 cap nut nyloc
6. 2x M6 washer
7. 1x M6x16 cylinder head bolt

2. Place the bike in a suspension or place
an elevation under the engine block to
clear the rear wheel.
3. Loosen the dropouts. Use the hex key

7. Now remove the rear wheel from the
cargo bike.
8. Loosen the mudguard rods. Use the
Allen key 3.

9. Take the carrier and place it on the
rear frame of the cargo bike. Loosely
secure the carrier with the 4x M5 body
washers and the 4x M5x20 cylinder
head bolts. Make sure the cylinder
head bolts are lubricated with locking
compound to prevent them from
loosening.

10. Take the white pen and draw a dot
through the hole on the fender to mark
where to drill the hole.
11. Drill the hole at the marked location.
Use the 6.5 mm drill bit.

12. Now loosely fasten the luggage
carrier to the fender. Use the M6 cap
nut with nyloc, the 2 M6 washers
and the M6x16 cylinder head bolt.
Use hexagonal wrench 5 and socket
wrench 10.

13. Now tighten all bolts securely. Use a
torque of 8 Nm.
14. Attach the mudguard rods to the
carrier again. Use the 2x M4x16 round
head bolt and the 2x M4 washers.
Fasten them with a torque of 5 Nm.
Make sure that the round head bolts
are smeared with locking compound to
prevent them from vibrating loose.
15. Reattach the shift cables to the disc.
Note: Take the cable without the tab
and pull it along the top. The other
cable goes underneath and closes both
fasteners.
16. Place the wheel back into the dropouts
and secure the rear wheel.
17. Tighten the rear axle back to 40 Nm.
18. Tighten the dropout again to tension
the belt. Use the Gates tool to adjust
the belt tension.
19. Tighten the dropout. Use 15 Nm
torque. Make sure to re-grease the
bolts with locking compound to
prevent them from loosening.
