ADVICES AND REQUIREMENTS

8
The installation of the device must take place avoiding that, in case of fall arrest,
the deection of the line leads it to come into contact with sharp edges or with
other elements that could contribute to damage it.
Once installed, anchoring devices can be subject to the capture of atmospheric
discharges. It will therefore be responsibility of the owner or manager of the fall
arrest system to check, based on the regulations in force on the matter, whether
or not the building is subject to lightning risk and if necessary take charge and
burden of protecting the building with suitable measures and systems suitably
designed according to current standards.
The installation of the anchoring devices must be carried out away from high
voltage cables, electrical systems and must not have connections with them or
with antennas or other systems that can become live and act as conductors, as
the devices produced by Livith S.p.A can accidentally go live. An accurate risk
assessment is required in this regard.
In case of installation on inclined slopes. It is also necessary to install a snow stop
system near the anchoring device to reduce the snow load acting on it.
Livith S.p.A declines all responsibility related to the system being put out of
service due to the failure to install snow stopper systems.
For further information please consult the Warranty Conditions at the end of this
Manual.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

10
Livith deformable Type A devices are designed to cushion the dynamic impulsive force
stressing the anchor in the event of a fall, by plastically deforming.
Hereaer are the deformations and stresses acting on the Type A anchors deformable in
the event of a fall.
For all non-deformable Livith devices, check with the forces indicated on page. 9 of this
Manual, considering the device in its undeformed conguration and the stress factor
acting in the most severe operating direction.
