1. General Description
Non-Contact Forehead IR Thermometer is specifically designed to take
human body temperature, regardless of room temperature.
2. Safety Information
This device must only be used for the purposes described in this
instruction manual.
This device must only be used in an ambient temperature range
between 10°C to 40°C (50°F to 104°F).
Do not expose this thermometer to electric shocks. Do not expose this
thermometer to extreme temperature conditions of > 50°C
(122°F) or < 0°C (32°F).
Do not use the device in relative humidity higher than 80%.
Do not use the device near large electromagnetic fields such as found
with cordless or cell phones.
Keep the device away from water and heat, including direct sunlight.
Do not drop or strike the device, and do not use if damaged.
Accuracy of measurements may be affected when the forehead is
covered by hair, perspiration, or clothing. (See Part 10-4)
Maintain a measuring distance of 3cm to 5cm (1.18in to 1.96in). (See
Part 10-4)
Allow device to acclimate to ambient temperature for 15 to 20 minutes
before using.
Temperature may also be taken behind the ear lobe. (See Part 10-5)
Clean the device surface with a cotton pad lightly moistened with 70%
Isopropyl alcohol.

3. General Information
1. Before and after use, keep the inner part of the sensor and
probe clean.
2. Please use the thermometer in a stable temperature
environment. When the ambient temperature fluctuates greatly (such
as the temperature difference from indoor to outdoor), please wait for
10 seconds before measuring.
3. Do not start measuring body temperature immediately after
measuring objects with extremely high or low temperature. Please
leave it for 10 minutes before measuring the body temperature.
4. When the measured people or object comes from a place
with a large temperature difference from the measurement
environment, they should stay in the measurement environment for at
least 5 minutes.
5. Try not to measure when there is makeup, perspiration,
water, hair or etc. on the forehead. Don’t measure body temperature
in 30 minutes after exercise, bathing, or eating.
6. Press and hold the SET button in power off state, and
enter the setting mode after the 'beep' sound. Press the SET button to
select F4, and use the MEMO button switches between ℃ mode and
℉ mode. After setting, press the POW button to power off.

4. Intended Use
Non-Contact Forehead IR Thermometer is designed for body surface
and forehead temperature measurement for infants and adults without
contact to human body.
Non-Contact Forehead IR Thermometer can also be used to measure
the temperature of a baby bottle, bath, or room temperature (by using
the Object Temp function).

can also be influenced by the following factors: age, sex, type and
thickness of skin.

8. Use
8-1. Install battery.
8-2. Prior to the first use or when inserting new batteries wait at least
10 minutes for device to warm up.
8-3. lf use is suspended for a long period, once turned on the device
will test the room temperature and delay start for 1 to 2 seconds.
8-4. Aim device at the forehead (see the diagram below for the
positioning), from a distance of 3 to 5 cm (1.18 to 1.96in),
press the measuring key; the temperature is displayed after
one second with a "tick" sound. Ensure there is no hair,
perspiration, cosmetics or clothing covering the forehead.
8-5. When the room temperature is

9. Measuring Operation
9-1. Switching between body temperature mode and object
temperature mode
When in measurement mode, press the "SET" key to switch between
the object temperature measurement mode (the display shows a small
house icon) and the human body temperature measurement mode (the
display shows a smiling face icon).
9-2. Viewing Historical Data
While the thermometer is off, press the "MEMO" key to view the last
set of measured data. Continue to press the "MEMO" button to reverse
cycle through the stored data. The thermometer can store 32 sets of
data measured in the human body temperature measurement mode.
Press the "POW" key to exit the historical data mode.
9-3. Setting the Abnormal Temperature Alarm
While the thermometer is turned off, press and hold the "SET" key for
three seconds to enter F1 mode. Once in F1 mode, press the "SET"
key again to enter F2 mode. Press the "MEMO" button to set the
abnormal temperature threshold. Press "POW" to exit.
9-4. Turning the Sound on or off
While the thermometer is turned off, press and hold the "SET" key for
three seconds to enter F1 mode. Once in F1 mode, press the "MEMO"
key again to toggle the sound on and off. Press "POW" to exit.
9-5. Setting Temperature compensation.
While the thermometer is turned off, press and hold the "SET" key for
three seconds to enter F1 mode. Once in F1 mode, press the "SET"
key again to enter F2 mode. In F2 mode, press "SET" again to enter
F3 mode. Press "MEMO" to set temperature compensation. Press
"POW" to exit.

9-6. Switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit
While the thermometer is turned off, press and hold the "SET" key for
three seconds to enter F1 mode. Once in F1 mode, press the "SET"
key again to enter F2 mode. In F2 mode, press "SET" again to enter F3
mode. In F3 mode, press "SET" again to enter F4 mode. Once in F4
mode, press "MEMO" to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
Important: The area temperature differs from the internal body
temperature. To obtain the internal temperature always use the “Body”
mode.
Please make sure to select “Body” mode for an internal temperature
reading and “Object” mode for an external area reading, such as bottle,
bath, room, etc.
