UltimaSwitch™
UltimaSwitch™ är tillförlitlig, hållbar och nyttjar avancerad
sensorteknologi. UltimaSwitch™ har inga rörliga delar eller
kvicksilver för att känna av vattennivån. UltimaSwitch™
känner automatiskt av om länspumpen är på 12 eller 24 V
utan att man behöver göra några manuella korrigeringar.
Säkerhetsförskrifter
• Sätt i en säkring med korrekt ampere (specificeras på pumpen)
• Installera enligt kabeldiagrammet på sidan 22-25
• Kabelanslutningarna ska avtätas med ett marint tätningsme-
del
• Alla elektriska anslutningar måste placeras ovanför högsta
slagvattennivå.
• UltimaSwitch™ använder 12/24 V. Använd inget annatvolttal.
Använd ej AC eller AC-DC konverterade strömkällor.

Funktion

1. När länsvattnet stiger och når den andra detektorn vid
50 mm startar brytaren länspumpen med en 3 sekunders
fördröjning.
2. När vattnet sjunker till 20 mm och den första detektorn är
ovanför vattennivån stängs länspumpen av.
Installation
UltimaSwitch™ är konstruerad att passa alla länspumpar i
Johnson Pumps länspumpssortiment. Om UltimaSwitch™
används till pumpar av annan tillverkare eller om UltimaSw-
tich™ installeras separat, följ dessa instruktioner:
• Montera UltimaSwitch™ vertikalt med monteringshålen
mot botten och nära pumpen så att vattennivån är den
samma för både pump och UltimaSwitch™.
• Skruva ej fast UltimaSwitch™ direkt i skrovet. Använd en
monteringsbit av marin epoxyplywood fastlimmad i hullet
eller limma fast UltimaSwitch™ direkt i skrovet.
• Botten på UltimaSwitch™ kan monteras högre än pumpen
med aldrig lägre än pumpbasen.

Test
• För att testa UltimaSwitch™ funktionen, håll två fingrar
över de cirkulära upphöjningarna ca 10 sekunder. Om
UltimaSwitch™ är korrekt kopplad aktiveras pumpen.
Om fingret tas bort från den övre cirkulära upphöjningen
kommer pumpen fortsätta att pumpa. Om båda fingrarna
tas bort slutar pumpen pumpa efter en kort fördröjning.
• Testa UltimaSwitch™ med vatten i länsen för att säkerställa
att pumpen startar och stängs av ordentligt.

UltimaSwitch™
The UltimaSwitch™ is a highly reliable solid state switch
which uses no moving mechanical parts or toxic mercury
to sense water level and automatically controls a 12V DC
or 24V DC bilge pump. The UltimaSwitch™ automatically
adjusts between a 12V DC and 24V DC bilge pump without
any adjustments necessary.
Security
• Connect an in-line fuse of the appropriate amperage
(specified on the pump)
• Always install the switch according to the wiring
diagram on pages 22-25.
• The wire connections must be sealed with a marine
sealant.
• Insulation of cable sheathings must be placed above
the highest bilge water level.
• The UltimaSwitch™ is designed for 12 and 24V DC
operation only. Do not use any other voltages; do not
use AC or AC-DC converted power sources.
• Failure to use the appropriate fuse and connecting
wires according to the instructions provided will void
any Johnson Pump warranty and may cause serious
damage or personal injury.

Operation

1. When the bilge water rises and reaches the second
detector cell at 50 mm (2”) the switch starts the pump,
with a 3 second delay.
2. When the water level has sunk to a level of 20 mm (¾"),
and the first detector cell is above the water level, the
pump is stopped.
Installation
The UltimaSwitch™ is designed to attach to all Johnson
Pump bilge pumps. Just snap in on the T-slot on the base
of the pump. When using it with other pump brands, or
when installing the switch stand alone please follow these
instructions:
• Mount the UltimaSwitch™ in a vertical position (mount
holes towards the bottom of the vessel), and close to the
pump, such that the water level is equal on both pump and
the UltimaSwitch™.
• Do not screw the UltimaSwitch™ directly to the hull of
the boat. Either glue the switch to the hull or use a mount-
ing block of marine plywood epoxy glued to the bottom of
the hull to fasten the UltimaSwitch™.

• The bottom of the UltimaSwitch™ can be mounted higher
than the pump, but never lower than the base of the pump.
Test
• To test the functionality of the UltimaSwitch™ hold two
fingers over the raised circular areas on the side for ap-
proximately 10 seconds. If the wiring is correct the bilge
pump will activate. If you remove a finger from the top
circle the pump should still be on. On removal of both
fingers from the circles, the bilge pump should no longer
run after a short delay.
• Make sure to test the UltimaSwitch™ with water in the
bilge of the vessel to re-affirm that the pump will turn on
and off properly.

UltimaSwitch™
Der UltimaSwitch™ ist ein sehr zuverlässiger Festkörper-
schalter, der an unbeweglichen mechanischen Teilen oder
bei giftigem Quecksilber eingesetzt werden kann, um den
Wasserstand zu ermitteln und automatisch eine 12V- oder
24V-Gleichstrom-Lenzpumpe zu steuern. Der Ultima-
Switch™ passt sich ohne weitere Einstellungen automatisch
an eine 12V- oder 24V-Gleichstrom-Lenzpumpe an.
Sicherheit
• Verwenden Sie eine Reihensicherung mit der passenden
Amperezahl (auf der Pumpe angegeben).
• Bauen Sie den Schalter immer entsprechend des auf Seite
22-25 dargestellten Schaltplans ein.
• Die Drahtverbindungen müssen mit wasserfesten Dich-
tungsstoffen abgedichtet sein.
• Die Isolation der Kabelummantelungen muss sich über
dem höchsten Bilgewasserstand befinden.
• Der UltimaSwitch™ kann nur bei Gleichstrom von 12 oder
24 Volt eingesetzt werden. Betreiben Sie den Ultima-
Switch™ nicht mit anderen Spannungen, Wechselstrom
oder über einen AC/DC-Wandler.
• Die Verwendung einer falschen Sicherung und der nicht
entsprechend der beiliegenden Anleitung vorgenommene
Anschluss der Kabel hat den Verlust der Garantie-
ansprüche einer Johnson Pumpe zur Folge und kann zu
schweren Personenschäden führen.

Funktion

1. WenndasBilgenwasser ansteigt und diezweite Detektorzelle
bei 50 mm (2”) erreicht, startet der Schalter nach einer
Verzögerung von drei Sekunden die Pumpe.
2. Sinkt das Wasser wieder auf einen Wasserstand von 20 mm
(¾") und die erste Detektorzelle liegt wieder über dem
Wasserspiegel, wird die Pumpe abgeschaltet.
Installation
Der UltimaSwitch™ wurde für den Einsatz bei Bilgepumpen
der Johnson Pump entwickelt. Lassen Sie ihn einfach an der
T-Nut am Pumpenfuß einrasten. Verwenden Sie den Schalter
bei anderen Pumpen oder als eigenständiges Gerät, dann
beachten Sie bitte folgende Hinweise:
• BringenSiedenUltimaSwitch™vertikal(Montagebohrungen
zum Schiffsboden hin) und nahe der Pumpe an, so dass der
Wasser-spiegel sowohl an der Pumpe als auch am UltimaS-
witch™ gleich ist.
• Montieren Sie den UltimaSwitch™ nicht direkt am Schiffs-
rumpf.Kleben Sie den Schalterentwederan den Schiffsrumpf
oder verwenden Sie eine Montageplatte aus Bootssperrholz
zur Befestigung des UltimaSwitch™, die mit Epoxydharz-
