Remove all packaging from the unit. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it please do so
according to local regulations.

We recommend that you spend some time reading this instruction manual in order that you fully
understand all the operational features it oers. You will also nd some hints and tips to help you
resolve any issues.
Read all the safety instructions carefully before use and keep this instruction manual for future
reference.

Switches the unit between the ON

Plays/pauses/resumes playback.

• Skips backwards to the previous

• Allows fast reversing of the
current track.
5. MENU Button
Displays the iPod / iPhone menu
on the iPod / iPhone menu screen.
6. SELECT Button
Conrms the selection on a menu
screen from iPod / iPhone.
7. VOL + Button
Increases the volume
8. REPEAT Button
Repeats a single track or entire tracks.
9. NEXT Button
• Skips forwards to the next track.
• Allows fast forwarding of the current
track.
10. UP/DOWN Button
Navigates up/down to select an item
on a menu screen.

remove the insulating strip from the remote control
Remove the insulating mylar strip from the battery
if the battery is being used for the rst time. It is located at
the bottom rear side of the remote control.
handling the battery
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which
could cause re, personal injury or damage to property.
• Install the battery correctly in the battery compartment. Normally the battery’s positive
polarity (+) will face up.
• When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function.
• Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
• Do not dispose of the used battery as domestic waste. Dispose of it in accordance with
local regulations.
• Small button cell batteries such as the one used in the remote control are easily
swallowed by young children and this is dangerous. Keep loose button cells away from
young children and make sure that the battery is secure in the remote control. Seek
medical advice if you believe a battery cell has been swallowed.
2. Pull out the battery holder and remove the old battery.
battery replacement for the remote control
The remote control requires a CR2025, 3V Lithium battery.
1. Using a paperclip, carefully pry open the battery release
tab in the direction of the arrow.
3. Replace with a new battery.
4. Insert the battery holder back into the remote control.

handling the remote control
• If you are nding it dicult to remove the battery, use a paperclip to slide the battery tab.
• Do not drop the remote control.
• Do not allow anything to impact the remote control.
• Do not spill water or liquid on the remote control.
• Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
• Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near sources of excessive heat.
• Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period of time,
as corrosion or battery leakage may occur and result in physical injury, and/or property
damage, and/or re.

• This unit operates with a DC 9V 1.5A mains adapter (included).
DC AUX ON OFF
To the
mains socket
• Connecting the unit to any other power source may cause damage to the unit. Unwind
the mains adapter to its full length. Connect the mains adapter to the DC socket on the
rear of the unit and a mains socket. Make sure the mains adapter is fully inserted into the
mains socket. The unit is now connected and ready to use.
• To switch the unit o completely, withdraw the mains adapter from the mains socket.
• If the unit is idle for more than 10 minutes, it will automatically switch o.
general operation
switching the unit On / O and selecting a function
• Switch the ON/OFF switch at the rear of the unit to the ON position. The unit will switch
on and the LED indicator illuminates green.
• Press the STANDBY button on the unit or on the remote control to turn the unit into
standby mode. The LED indicator will turn o.
• To completely turn the unit o, switch the ON/OFF switch at the rear of the unit to the
OFF position and then disconnect the unit from the mains socket.

Press the VOL +/– button on the unit or on the remote control to adjust the volume.

• If you charge the iPod / iPhone while playing music, it may take longer than usual.
• At any time, you can control the iPod / iPhone player on the unit or iPod / iPhone player
itself whilst the unit is in the iPod mode.
• 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation iPods cannot be charged.
• Charging function will only work when the mains adapter is plugged in.
iPod / iPhone operation
inserting the iPod / iPhone
1. Insert the Universal iPod dock adapter (not included) into the iPod dock until it sits
rmly in place.
2. Carefully slot your iPod / iPhone onto the iPod / iPhone dock.
3. If the iPod / iPhone is connected, the unit will start playback (it will take around 10
seconds for the unit to identify the iPod / iPhone). The iPod / iPhone battery will be
charged automatically until it is fully charged.
4. Select your desired music and play the connected iPod / iPhone as usual.
5. Press the button on the remote control to start / pause playback.
6. Press the buttons on the remote control to select the previous or next song.
7. Press and hold the buttons on the remote control to fast backward / forward
through a song.
8. Press the MENU button on the remote control to access the iPod / iPhone menu. Press
the buttons on the remote control to select the iPod / iPhone menu and then
press the SELECT button on the remote control to enter the selected menu.
9. Press the REPEAT button on the remote control to repeat the single track or entire
disc.
charging your iPod / iPhone
1. Your iPod / iPhone has an internal non-removable battery. The battery may need to be
charged if it has not been used for a while.
2. You can automatically charge the iPod / iPhone through the unit when it is docked.

AUX operation
1. Before connecting to the mains socket, use a 3.5mm LINE IN cable (not included) to
connect your audio device through the AUX IN socket at the rear of the unit.
2. Connect the mains adapter to the mains socket and the unit.
3. Switch the ON/OFF switch at the rear of the unit to the ON position.
4. Press the STANDBY button on the unit or on the remote control to switch the unit
on.
5. In AUX mode, the unit will automatically start playback. You may operate your audio
device directly for playback features.
When connecting your audio device through the AUX IN socket, the sound from your iPod
/ iPhone will cut o and be replaced by the sound from your audio device. The sound from
your iPod / iPhone will return when the 3.5mm LINE IN cable is disconnected.
