B Terminology
C Installation of Anchor
Ensure the descent is not impeded when attaching the device to the anchor point.
1This device should be used with an anchor point/system conforming to either EN795 (min
12kN), ANSI z359.1 (07), or any other recognised standard or Industry Best Practice relating to the
specic use , or a non-engineered anchor point capable of withstanding appropriate loads. It is
recommended that the anchor point be above the user and that the viability of any installation
should be veried by a suitably qualied person.
D Installation of Harness
1Harnesses that are suitable for use will conform to one or more of the following standards; EN361,
EN1497, or their international equivalents.
2 Harnesses that are unsuitable for use are EN358, EN12277 or their international equivalents.
3The device is attached to the load bearing full body harness attachment point marked ‘A’ (EN361)
at the sternal position. The ventral attachment point may also be used using an ISC locking karabiner.
E Operational Check
1Before each use, verify the correct installation on the rope. With the handle in the STOP position,
carry out a pre-pull test to ensure the device does not slip down the rope. If the device is able to
travel down the rope, the cam should be checked for wear by a competent person.
