‐ NOTE!Becarefulwhenhandlingthestainlesssteelmeshframe,ithassharp

1. INSTRUCTIONSFORSAFETY
Thesaunastoveisintendedforthesolepurposeofsauna‐bathing.Itsuseforanyotherpurpose,
suchasdryingclothesorheatingpremises,isprohibited.
Coveringthestoveduringuseorwhilestillwarmisprohibited.
Usingseawaterorothersaltwateronthestoveisforbiddenandcausesthewarrantytocease.
Becarefulwhentouchingtheflueconnectingpipe,thehatchandothermetalpartsofthestoveas
wellasthestones,theymaybehot.Useprotectiveglovesifyouneedtotouchtheseparts.
Beextracautiouswhentakingchildrentothesauna.
Duringinstallationandchangingofthestones,becarefulwiththesharpedgesofthemeshframe.
Useprotectiveglovesandalong‐sleevedshirt.
Inadditiontotheinstructionsinthismanual,pleasecomplywithEU15821regulationregarding
theuseofandintsallationsaunastovesaswellaslocalfireauthority'ssafetyinstructions.
Thewarrantydoesnotcoverdamagescausedbyfaultyinstallationandnegligentuse.

Thedeliveryalsoincludes1ashspatula,1connectingfluepipeandaheavy‐dutymittento
beusedwhentouchingthehandleonthehatchwhenthestoveisheated.
2.1 Thelocationfortheinstallation
Whenchoosingthelocationforthestove,consider:
Safetydistancestoinflammablematerialsandstructures
Flueconnection(theheightofanexistingchimneypipe,ortherouteforthenewpipe)
Theflooringmaterial(inflammable,non‐flammable,tiledorwater‐insulated)andthe
carryingcapacityofthefloor.
Takeintoconsiderationthefactthattherearealotofstonesinthestoveanditisthere
foreheavy.(Fortechnicaldatarefertopart3.2)
WerecommendIKIwood‐burningstovestobeconnectedprimarilytoabrickchimney,
oraceramicchimneyorair‐cooledchimney.Exhaustpipeouterdiameteris115mm.

2.3 Preparationforuse
Werecommendyoulightafireinthestovebeforeputtinginthestonesandbathing,either
outsideorinawell‐ventilatedspace,inordertoburnoffpossibletoxicresiduefrom
protectiveoilsonthemetalandsteelsurfaces.
Olivine,olivine‐doleriteandperidotitestonesarerecommended,insizessmallerthan10
cmindiameter.Thestonesshouldnotbeplacedtootightlytogetherallowingforfree
airflowinbetweenthestones.
Donotstoreinflammableliquidsclosetothestove'sfurnace.
Allchimneyfires,evenafterexhaustion,mustbereportedtothefireauthorities.
Chimneysinprivateresidencesinrecreationaluse,suchascottagesandtheirsaunas,must
beswepteverythreeyears.
Chimneysinprivateresidencesinpermanentuseandnon‐privatesaunasinfrequentuse
mustbesweptyearly.

2.6 Safetybaseforthestove
Ifyouwishtoplacethestoveoninflammablesurface(suchaswood),youneedtouseapanelof
non‐flammablematerialunderthestoveasasafetybase.Thesizeandshapeofthesafetybase
hastobeequaltosafetydistancestoinflammablesurfaces.Thefloorunderneathandinfrontof
thefurnacemustalsobeprotectedwithinflammablematerial.
IKI‐KiuasLtdhasastandardsizesafetybase,50cmindiameter,instock.Thebasehasadjustable
legs.
Thesafetybasecanbeusedalsowithtiledandwater‐insulatedflooringinwhichcasetheheat
radiationbecomeslesssevere.

Theheightoftheconnectingflueismeasuredfromthefloortothemiddleofthepipe,withoutthe
baseorotherraisedplatform,withthefurnaceonitslegs.Theouterdiameteroftheexhaustair
pipeinallwood‐burningstovesmodelsis115mm.
