Products sold in GBonly: Your product is tted
with an BS 1363/A approved electric plug with
internal fuse (ASTA approved to BS 1362). If the
plug is not suitable for your socket outlets, it
should be cut o and an appropriate plug tted in
its place by an authorised customer service agent.
The replacement plug should have the same fuse
rating as the original plug. The severed plug must
be disposed of to avoid a possible shock hazard
and should never be inserted into a mains socket
elsewhere.
Products sold in AUSonly: Use a residual current
device (RCD) with a rated residual current of 30
mA or less.
VIBRATIONINFORMATION
Vibrationlevel
The vibration emission level stated in this
instruction manual has been measured in
accordance with a standardised test given in EN
62841. It may be used to compare one tool with
another and as a preliminary assessment of
exposure to vibration when using the tool for the
applications mentioned in this manual. However,
using the tool for dierent applications, or with
dierent or poorly maintained accessories, may
signicantly increase the exposure level.
An estimation of the level of exposure to vibration
should also take into account the times when the
tool is switched o or when it is running but not
actually doing the job, as this may signicantly
reduce the exposure level over the total working
period.
Protect yourself against the eects of vibration by
maintaining the tool and its accessories, keeping
your hands warm, and organising your work
patterns.

Unintentional actuation of the trigger can lead to
injuries.
Chargingyourscrewdriver/drill
When the charger is connected to the electricity
supply, the red diode on the screwdriver/drill
lights up. The diode lights up while the battery is
being charged (8).
Under normal conditions of use the screwdriver
can be recharged several hundred times.
ATTENTION!The recharging process generates
heat in the battery.

8
Note:The battery that is supplied with the
screwdriver has been charged for test purposes
only and must be fully charged before rst time
use.
First read the safety instructions and then follow
the loading instructions. Insert the charger plug
into the socket in the screwdriver/drill. Then
connect the charger to the electricity supply.
Make sure that there are no knots or sharp bends
in the cable.
The charger's transformer and the battery have
been designed to be used together.
NEVER use this charger to recharge cordless tools
or batteries from other manufacturers.
The battery will gradually lose its charge over a
period of time, even if the tool is not used.
The lithium-ion battery is protected against deep
discharging by the "Electronic Cell Protection
(ECP)". When the battery is empty, the machine is
switched o by means of a protective circuit: The
tool no longer rotates.

loaded.
Disconnect the cable and store the charger in a
suitable place when it is not in use.
It is not advisable to recharge the battery in
temperatures below freezing.
INSTRUCTIONSFORUSE
Note:Sparks may be visible through the slots in
the motor housing during operation. The sparks
are a normal reaction of the motor when in use
and are created by the components inside the
motor moving against each other. The function
of the power tool is not aected by this. We do
however recommend not to use the power tool
near any ammable liquids, gases or dust, which
the sparks may ignite.
Regulatingtheshaftspeed
It is possible to regulate shaft speeds from zero
to maximum by altering the pressure applied to
the trigger.
Reversingthedirectionofrotation
You can reverse the direction of rotation by using
the selector above the trigger.
To lock the trigger, set the selector to the mid
position between the right and left options.
Adjustingthetighteningmoment
Turn the torque regulator to the desired position.
Settings 1-15 are used for tightening/loosening
screws (the higher the value, the greater the
tightening moment). Select the drill symbol
before using the tool for drilling.
Keylesschuck
Your drill has a keyless chuck so that you can
simply tighten or release drill/driver bits.
To open/close the chuck hold the rear ring and
rotate the front sleeve.
WARNING:RISKOFTRAPPING
Do not hold the front sleeve of the chuck with one
hand at the same time as you open or close the
jaws of the chuck with the help of the drill/driver´s
motor.
Mountingdrill/driverbits
Set the drill/driver´s trigger in mid position.
Adjust the chuck until the opening is slightly
larger than the shaft of the drill bit that you wish
to use.
Insert the drill bit into the chuck.
Tighten the chuck against the drill as described
above (Keyless chuck).
