Special
Tools and
Materials
•
Vacuum pump: 7.2-14.4 m³/h, absolute vacuum ≤ 60 Pa (recommended).
•
Pressure gauge (measure range is greater than 4.0 MPa
), leather hose (tolerance
range is greater than 4.5 MPa), dedicated for R410A.
•
Welding torch and welding rod: silver copper welding rod (containing 5% silver).
•
Nitrogen reducing valve: Areducing valve is recommended to install to the outlet
of the nitrogen steel vessel, and the reducing valve range ≥ 4.0 MPa.
•
Dry nitrogen.
2Preparing Materials
Do not use inferior refrigerant. Otherwise, Huawei has no responsibility for the damage caused
by the inferior refrigerant.
You are suggested to use R410A from the brand of Dupont, Daikin, Honeywell, or the same
quality refrigerant, and follow these suggestions to choose a high-quality refrigerant:
1. Dial the hotline of the refrigerant producer to confirm its reliability.
2. Put the refrigerant indoor for 24 hours. Then use a thermometer to measure the external
surface temperature of the refrigerant cylinder (figure 1), and connect a pressure gauge to the
cylinder to measure its internal pressure (figure 2). Look up the following table for the
saturation pressure that corresponds to the external surface temperature, and calculate the
deviation from the internal pressure. If the deviation is more than 0.2 MPa, the refrigerant is
not in good condition. Replace it.

If you use a five-core power cable for indoor unit, do not install the neutral wire. Instead, cut off it
and properly wrap PVC insulation tape around the cutting place.

Copper pipes should meet
the requirements of
EN12735-1.
(1) Liquid pipe: R410A copper pipe, 5/8 in. outer diameter, 1.0 mm
wall thickness, operating pressure ≥ 4.5 MPa.
(2) Gas pipe: R410A copper pipe, 7/8 in. outer diameter, 1.2 mm wall
thickness, operating pressure ≥ 4.5 MPa.
(3) Thermal insulation foam: thickness ≥ 13 mm.
Oil trap Gas pipe inverted trap Liquid pipe inverted

Materials from which the pipe support and pipe clamp are
made should meet the requirements of outdoor application.

3Installing the Indoor Unit
1. Read the related user manual or instructions before installing the NetCol5000-A.
2. The unit in this document is a fully configured NetCol5000-A. If some components are not
configured, skip the corresponding steps.
3. You are recommended to use tools that are fully insulated when installing devices.
4. Only engineers from the manufacturer or engineers certified by the agent are allowed to install,
commission, and maintain smart cooling products. Otherwise, personal injuries and device
damage may be caused, which is beyond the smart cooling product warranty range.

Preserve the removed sheet metals. Reinstall
them if the equipment is to be relocated
(container scenario).
1. Open the front door. Remove the front door,
the power cable of the display screen,
ground cable, fixing plate, connection plates,
and hinges.
2. Move the enclosure frame to the front door,
and adjust the anchor bolts of the enclosure
frame to ensure that the enclosure frame has
the same height with the cabinet.
3. Secure the enclosure frame to the front door
using eight M5 screws, as shown in the right
figure.
5
(Optional) Installing an Top Frame
3.4
4. Secure the top sealing plate of the
enclosure frame to the enclosure frame
using four M5 tapping screws.
5. Install the hinges and connecting plates on the
corresponding positions on the enclosure frame.
6. Install the power cable for the display screen.
Connect the ground cable under the front door
to the enclosure.
After installing the enclosure frame, the power
cable for the display screen may be not long
enough to open the door completely. Cut off
the cable ties, which fastening the power
cable, to make sure the front door can rotate
smoothly.
Install two M5x10 tapping screws (step3) at the front of the top
frame to set up equipotential bonding between the cabinet and
the top frame.

1. You are advised to use angle steel, square steel or channel steel. Width of 60 mm and
thickness of 4 mm to 5 mm are recommended.
2. When D (width of angle steel) is more than 60 mm, it is interfering with the cable routing holes.
Cut out the part on the angle steel to avoid interfering. If D is less than or equal to 60 mm, skip
this step.
3. Install a shock absorbed bar (5 mm thick, made of EPDM rubber) on the bottom of the rack.
4. Control the welding process and avoid excessive error.
5. The rack is applicable to the scenario with enclosure frames. After enclosure frames are
installed, holes for the screws installed to secure the rack and unit do not change.
3. Securing the smart cooling product on the rack2. Fixing the rack
Secure the smart cooling product on the
rack using four screws removed from the
pallet.
