1 Foreword
We congratulate you for choosing a Ergobjörn scooter. It is designed to make your
work more efficient, easier and safer. Before using the scooter, it is most important
that you learn to handle it safely by carefully read and understand the contents of this
manual.
The manual contains information about safety, how to work with the scooter and how
you with a daily maintenance keeps the scooter in good condition.
Helge Nyberg AB constantly develop the products. We therefore have the right to
make changes and that no claims can be made on the basis of the information in this
user manual. If anything should be indefinitely or if you have any questions, please
feel free to contact us or your local supplier.
2 About the user manual
2.1 Introduction
In the user manual, the warnings and instructions is to prevent incidents or accidents.
Be sure to follow these instructions. It is also your responsibility to be aware of and
comply with local safety regulations. If instructions in this manual in any way departs
from these conditions, the local regulations is to be followed.
oMake sure the scooter works before you use it. Check steering and braking
functions.
oMake a daily inspection described in the chapter Working with the scooter.
Also ensure that maintenance is performed according to the instructions of
Periodic maintenance in the chapter Maintenance.

2.2 Warnings and symbols

Used with actions that can lead to property damage but no injuries.
3 Safe use
3.1 The user’s responsibility
Follow the local protection regulations and guidelines for saftey.
Always wear safety shoes when working with the scooter where local
regulations specify this.
Never use the platform on the scooter as a ladder.
The scooter must not be used if it has any damage that affects the security or
safety. All repairs must be made by qualified personnel.
The scooter may not be used to transport passengers.
The scooter should not be operated in such high speed that you cannot stop,
for example, if someone steps out into its path.

3.2 Managing the load
Manage only loads that are within the scooter’s authorized capacity.
Manage only the load that is stable and firmly fixed.
Manage high loads with special caution.
3.3 Parking the scooter
Use the parking space if there is any.
Never park the scooter:
oon a sloping surface.
oSo that it prevents traffic and work or blocking emergency exits.
3.4 Other dangers and risks
The scooter and its components correspond to current safety regulations, but also to
the intended use, and although the work is carried out carefully and according to
current standards and regulations there are certain risks in handling the product.
Such risks may include:
•Slippery floors caused by oil leakage or spillage of lubricants.
•Carelessness by for instance docks, restricted view or narrow spaces.
•Surface with a sufficient carrying capacity.
•Reckless driving that makes the scooter tipping over or skidding.
•Load that falls off because of poor packing.
•Adequate attention to people nearby.
•Poor visibility because of inadequate or improper lighting.
The scooter may only be used in areas that are illuminated so that it in all
situations can be operated in a safe way with a good view of people, materials
and environment.
•Safety has not been followed.

3.5 Modification of the scooter
Only approved modification of the scooter is allowed. No changes of the scooter,
affecting performance, stability or security, may be made without written authorization
from the manufacturer, it’s representative or it’s successor.
Only if the manufacturer does not exist anymore and the successor is missing, the
user of the scooter can arrange modification by
•finding a professional with expertise in the area of scooters.
4 Introduction
4.1 Presentation of the scooter
The scooter is designed to efficiency the transport indoors within a company. It is not
intended for outdoor use.
The scooter is equipped with a platform for lighter goods.
4.2 Unauthorized use
The scooter may not be used in the following applications unless it is specially
adapted for this:
•Environments that contain dusts or gases that can cause a fire or explosion
•Environments that are corrosive
•Transport av passengers
•Driving on uneven floors or with sufficient bearing capacity.
The scooter must not be used if it has any damage that affects the security or safety,
nor if it has been repaired, modified or adjusted without being approved by Helge
Nyberg AB or its representative.
4.3 Warranty
Each factory delivered scooter includes a product warranty according to a separate
specification.

5 Controls
5.1 Handbrake
To slow the scooter down – pull the brake to the handlebar.
5.2 Parking stand
To unfold the parking stand – turn the handlebars with a definite movement fully to
the right.
To fold the parking stand – turn the handlebars fully to the left until the parking stand
remains in the folded position.

5.3 Footbrake
To slow the scooter, push the brake pedal down.
If the brake is damaged, do not use the scooter.
6 Work with the scooter
6.1 Check before use
To maintain security, the daily check will always be performed when the working day
or shift begins.
Before starting
1. Chassis – check for damage, remove dirt and similar objects.
2. Wheels – check for damage, remove oil, metal chips and similar objects.
3. Brake – check function, wire, the springs and the other parts.
After every shift
1. Clean the scooter when necessary.
